Rude and unprofessional customer service. The owner was eating lunch when I walked into the shop like in the middle of the store with some random lady and treated us like crap. All of these good reviews also seem FAKE. First and last time going there store is completely empty besides a few tables and full of boxes. Came for a visit from out of town, and was hoping to find some good stuff at this shop. Although the staff was cool, the head guy had crazy deals on some items. He was selling magic stuff as bundles when he clearly couldn't get anyone to buy the hundreds that he already has on shelves. He also has event items that are to be given away to customers, but in order to receive them you have to buy bundles worth 200$ at the least. I tried other means of payment for them as well, even offering to buy some individually, but the man is stubborn and hard headed. No clue how this business is still up and running. Wouldn't recommend even in the slightest. The other women working there are awesome, but brother is just too much. Shop elsewhere. There's a shop at the mall near by, located over by the movie side as you walk in. Much better people and business there. Even GameXChange is a better place than Collector's Den. As an out of town person, this is definitely the worst place to shop in Wichita Falls. read more

If you're even mildly interested in comics, you should not be buying from anyone but Collector's Den. In addition to having the largest selection of ongoing series in Wichita Falls, Collector's Den also has the largest selection of back issues. The owner Andrew (not me) is very knowledgeable, and he is great at helping you find a book that you will like. I feel like it's a natural geek tendency to shy away from help whenever someone at a store asks if you need any. Pro-tip: don't. Had my partner and I declined his help, we would have missed out on Saga. SAGA!!! Can you even imagine? Because I can't without feeling a papercut's worth of sadness. If you play Magic the Gathering and are particularly interested in Standard, then you should not be going anywhere else but Collector's Den. While there are other venues more suited for eternal formats, Standard is alive and well at Collector's Den. Friday Night Magic always draws a good sized and varied crowd. Pre-releases and Game Days are large affairs for this town, attracting dozens of Magic players every time. X-Wing seems to getting more popular, and Force of Will has a decent following as well. Collector's Den is not a place that tries to spread its focus too thinly, and so if you want a generic geekshop with stuff from licenses often referenced in The Big Bang Theory, then you might be a tad disappointed. Sure, its got a few geeky shirts, an assortment of POP figures, action figures, and a decent selection of board games, but Collector's Den's bread and butter is definitely comic books and trading card games. read more

I ran over on my lunch hour to find some comic books for my 15 year old grandson who is under the weather. The man who helped me had some great suggestions, so we decided to start him on a new series called The Defenders from Marvel Comics, and he fixed me up with the first three additions. Located near Sheppard AFB, Collector's Den is a great place in Wichita Falls to buy comics! The staff is approachable and friendly, but most of all knowledgeable. I can find myself spending hours in this quaint shop just talking comics and the industry in general. I'm not a local to Wichita Falls, but if I ever find myself here again, I know I have a comic shop I can go to! I was sold at the very first visit. Please don't be fooled by the small size of the shop, what they lack in size they make up for in quality! read more
