I do not recommend this place. Customer service is terrible actually the worst i have ever seen. There is a ammo shortage going on right now as many of you know. This place has or "had" 223 ammo in stock out of all other gun stores. I go to the range frequently with my gf, once a week or every other week and use a good amount of ammo. I dont know who it is, The owner or whoever it was had the audacity to say to me are you reselling this ammo. I have never felt insulted like that in my life and was definitely profiled. If i didn't have tattoos or have a baseball cap on i guarantee that would never have been said to me. I would never recommend this place to anyone, matter of fact if this was the only place left i would cut up my license and go find another hobby Do yourself a favor and go to Four seasons I have been going to them for years. Very unwelcoming experience I waited in the hall for like 5 minutes before anybody said hello and I got an awkward look like I was bothering them .I was the only person in the shop it took me about five minutes before I can even enter the shop from the waiting area like I said nobody was in there, Just me lol ..was told that I needed to have gloves on I put gloves on okay no worries. 10 15 minutes went by I was looking at their inventory 2 other people walked in the shop much older than me didn't wear gloves nobody asked them to put gloves on? .. I had a rifle I wanted to consign. Because I live a decent distance away I called up before traveling to the Collector's Gallery. I spoke with a clerk over the phone and told him exactly what I wanted to consign. He put me on hold while checking in with the boss. The clerk came back on the phone and said no problem. The next day I take time off from work and spend an hour driving to Stoneham. One there the owner tells me that he can't consign it. That's why I called up the day before to check. These folks have no idea what they're doing, how to run a business or what customer service means. read more

I went to these guys when I got my LTC, Their ammo prices in the area are unbeatable and their gun prices aren't bad either. I had an incident looking for 1911 mags made by Wilson Combat, they didn't have any in stock at the time but they rummaged through a box of 1911 magazines to find me one. Went to CCG today to sell a used Glock handgun. I went in and was awkwardly greeted after a minute or so and nobody else was in the. I got a bad vibe right away from both miserable guys working there. After examining my gun i was told he would give me $375.00 for it. I was shocked at the insanely low offer since i figured it was worth about $800.00 so if i was offered $600.00 or so i would have been satisfied knowing they need to make a profit. I told them to forget it and went to Four Seasons in Woburn. They put it on consignment for $1000.00. That'll leave me a $820.00 sale. Not only is that a huge difference in price but the guys over at Four Seasons were a pleasure to deal with. IDK what happened at CCG but they had some good people there years ago. Have been going to this shop and Four Seasons in Woburn for years. The two shops are completely different experiences, but both are great. When shopping at Collectors, you should know what you are looking for and do a little research. The owner and employees are very experienced and knowledgeable and will answer any questions, but do not have time to babysit newbies. Moreover, during these COVID times, they do not have the time or space to have tire-kickers in the store. If you are looking for an item they do not currently have, you can ask to be put on the call list and they will call you as soon as they get it. The prices at Collectors are excellent and I have had nothing but positive experiences there. read more

All sales personnel do not have enough knowledge to be selling firearms. I have several friends that have bought used firearms for what seems to be a good deal but ended up to be a bad choice. One of my buddies bought a used Mossberg 500 which seem to be never cleaned and had missing internal screws. The stock also came loose after five shots. We immediately returned to Collectors and the salesperson would not let him return it for a full refund. Mossberg mailed him the replacement parts in a week and we have never returned to Collectors again. Even though Four Seasons ammo cost a little more, the service is outstanding even when they are packed with costumers. Most of the sales people are REAL gun owners with real trigger time on their firearms. read more

I went in to this store after a time away from shooting intending to re- enter the sport. Like most stores today their inventories are depleted. What they do carry is offered at fair pricing. Also, I applaud them on their safety protocols and found two of the gentlemen that I dealt with to be patient, knowledgeable and truly focused on providing a positive experience in leading me to a good choice. Unfortunately the owner, Bill, with whom I spoke to on two separate occasions over the past few weeks, is rude and has little regard for customer service. It is as if he is doing you a favor to just let you do business with him. I was literally forced to cancel the sale and leave the store. My advice is that if you choose to go there, be sure that your appointment specifies that you are not dealing with him. read more

I'll echo Christopher's review - the customer service aspect of this shop leaves something to be desired until the staff gets to recognize you. Once they get to know you they'll open up and become very helpful. Prices are decent, I've always found ammo at good prices, and usually they seem to have a decent amount in stock. I love going through their "long gun loft," they have lots of cool long guns, and a nice selection of used and new guns, good negotiable prices. They also have some reloading supplies, which is a +. Good selection packed into a tiny store. Just give the guys a chance to get to know you, and don't force the small talk - they'll warm up once they recognize your face, eventually.... read more

NO ANY MORE! I was greeted and treated like I was bothering them. I was sent out to my vehicle to put on gloves because my mask wasn't enough. Everyone else that shopping in the store was without gloves. I asked why I was the only one required to wear gloves. I've owned firearms and have bought and sold and had FFL's do transfers for me for over 30 years. I have gone into this place many times over the years and it really is hit or miss with these guys. I don't expect a warm smile and a handshake coming in the door but a simple acknowledgement of my presence in such a small shop would be nice. These guys saying that when they "get to recognize you" they treat you better have no clue about customer service. There are a lot of gun snobs out there on both sides of the counter. The newbies with the seemingly inane questions are the ones they should be interested in helping and not making feel like an idiot. It's tough when you're learning and looking for a first gun. The guys at Four Seasons can't be beat. It's a tough place to shop because they are ALWAYS busy...for a reason...and you have to wait but I have always found you get the person's undivided attention for as long as you need when it's your turn and no question is stupid. They are always ready to help. I do not go to Collectors often enough at all for them to recognize me but again, it has been hit or miss. They don't go out of their way to make you feel welcome BUT I don't typically go in for conversation. I poke around, I find something, they'll answer a question or two good enough. I've done a couple transfers there of WWII era weapons and they talked about it, asked about the guns, were complimentary on them and seemed to feel I got good deals. I can't say it's like visiting friends but it's also not as bad as some people say. Like I said earlier, there are gun snobs on both sides of the counter. I think if you go in there and insult their prices, insult their selection or show them you're a know it all you're gonna get the cold shoulder. My favorite thing about the place is poking around their used rifles in the loft. You can usually find something interesting. Not much for reloading supplies but you can find some cool surplus mags and parts on a good trip. read more

I have been going there for years, even before Jack & Bill took over. They have always been pleasant & knowledgeable to me. They take the time to explain things and even recommend a better choice of weapon. Their used weapons can be bargained over, and the new ones, if not there, they will order them for you and contact you when they arrive. Prices are the same as Four Seasons if not better. Went in looking to compare a few pistols I was interested in and check the place out. Previously i had called another place on the "north shore" , their website made claims of great customer service, when I called I didn't even get to finish my question before I was interrupted with a response. That quickly ended my interest in shopping there (ever). I had also been to Four Seasons, having been told by everyone that that was the place to go for the best prices around. Well advertising good prices is one thing, actually having the item in stock is another and after having visited the Collectors gallery I can tell you Four seasons does not have the lowest prices around. I went in, was asked if I needed some help, told them there were a few guns I was interested in and wanted to compare. They had all three, two new, one pre-owned. Answered all my questions and were very helpful, The two new firearms were both priced less than Four seasons. As a first timer buying a pistol we then went on to pick out some other necessary accessories. I like that their inventory is listed on their website and regularly updated. On the web site their pre-owned fire-arms list the price, their new ones do not. That made me a little skeptical at first of their claims of "competitive pricing", and very pleased when they were actually the lowest prices I had come across for the guns I was looking at! I also like the fact they are open until 8pm a couple of nights a week. All in all a great experience, I highly recommend and will shop there again. read more

Done. I try my best to spread my business amongst the local shops but I will not be returning to this shop. Read below: True Story: Walked in just to browse, and came across a small used revolver. I asked to see it and he checked my LTC, as he should, and I made an offer which he accepted. I said I was looking for a small carry gun to try out and potentially give to my mother as a present. He immediately snagged the gun back, put the trigger lock back on, and said he will not sell me the firearm. I was a bit flabbergasted, and I explained to him this was being purchased with my funds and may be legally transferred to a family member with a valid LTC -- in fact, other stores I had mentioned this to in the past were diligent in making sure it was for someone with a valid license, but then were eager to show me how to conduct the transfer online. He told me for the $50 profit he was going to make, it wasn't worth the risk and proceeds to tell me how the NFA will trace the gun back to him and he'll lose his license if the firearm were to be involved in a crime. Although I knew this wasn't true, I humbly apologized and asked how I should perhaps rephrase this intent to legally transfer in the future. He said just don't tell him. I then commented that I had been coming there for a long time and bought several firearms and thought that the thousands of dollars I've spent there maybe allowed me to have casual conversation with them. He said he didn't want to hear chit-chat and to come back with my mother and he'd consider it. I then asked him if he asks every customer if she/he has any potential intention of doing a legal transfer/gift in the future and if he refuses to sell it if the answer is anything besides a hard "no." He gave me this nasty look and I said to him "Just so we're clear, you are refusing to sell this to me? Because if this is how you leave this conversation, I and many others will not be back." He said yes, and I walked out. Clearly they've been in trouble in the past and are paranoid. I have a good relationship with other firearm dealers so I called them to ask, and they all could not believe the story and said that the most they might do is politely confirm they would transfer it to someone with a valid LTC, but beyond that, especially for a repeat customer, they'd be happy to sell it to me. I've had decent interactions with the other owner, but this owner has been rude and disrespectful many times prior and I am not returning unless they issue an apology. I felt I was very courteous and respectful in the conversation and they treat me like a criminal. If you're itching for a new piece, go to Four Seasons in Woburn for better prices and red carpet treatment if you're North of Boston. And if you're West, go to GFA Armstech in Natick for the owner Greg to hunt down a rare find and treat you like a truly appreciated customer. Ive been buying my guns at Four Seasons in Woburn for years and like them a lot, but on a recent hunt for a particular weapon, I stumbled upon these guys. Smaller inventory than Four Seasons, but good people, reasonable prices, and easier access to 93 than the other store. I bought some ammo and hardware, but will definitely consider buying my next gun there as well. These guys have HORRIBLE customer service. I walked in and wasn't even greeted with a hello. I just got an awkward glance. I explained what i was looking for and a clerk immediately asked for my permit. I had gone to 3 other shops in the area just to browse THAT DAY and this shop was the first to ask me to show it. Even so I wasn't mad, I just pulled it out to show him and he didn't even examine it , he just gave another awkward glance. That was not cool but whatever. I am a first timer, so I then proceeded to ask a question and the guy looked totally annoyed . I felt like he may have had a large stick lodged up his rear end. However the prices were decent. I will return just so i can laugh on the inside when purchasing from these awkward embarrassing human beings. read more

Went there to buy some ammo. Thought the prices were fairly decent and got a couple of boxes. When I came back and visited their site, I found out the ammo I purchased was supposed to be on special for $1 less per box. Oh well, so I paid $2 more than I had to, but I doubt I will go back again because my trust is no longer there. Rather go to Four Seasons where honesty prevails. read more

I called and spoke to someone on the phone about getting a price on a Sig p238. He told me that he was to busy and couldn't help me over the phone. I then asked him if he could please call me back later today. He told me "no we are to busy to make call backs." I then asked for his name... he did not give his name and then huffed and told me to call back later. If they treat customers like this over the phone I can just imagine how they are in person. I've done a lot of business at this store since discovering it two years ago and have had good experiences. I've bought pistols and long arms, reloading supplies and lots of ammo. I also sold two AR's through them and we kept prices fair. The selection of ammo has been terrific, specialty items like match ammo. The staff is a little bit "crusty," but they've have always been fair with me and pleasant enough. The prices are good, better than one would expect from a small shop and very competitive over all. I went to Collectors to see about trading my Browning for a SW M&P 15-22. I has previously gone to another shop (unnamed) and was insulted with a very low-ball offer on my trade. When I got to Collectors I met the guys and Jerry. He and others looked at my trade and Jerry looked it up in the gun value books. He then made me an offer which was extremely fair and honest. No BS, no low-ball to go up from there just straight talk. I was also given a very aggressive price on the SW - competitive with other area shops. They were more then helpful and went out of there way to find a very specific kind of Ammo that they do not stock. Took a deposit. Very friendly and knowledgable conversation. 1 week later got my phone call and Ammo at more then fair prices. Bought my first firearm there and 11 years later I still go there. You may run into some quiet folk but if you engage them they will help you with whatever you want. Just do some research first so the conversation is a two way street. read more
