Total charge was $2,400 for one month of summer camp. The price is not my main issue. Its the manner in which they bill and THREATEN. I usually send my daughter to Lightbridge which has smaller class sizes and is a better school IMO and have never been billed in that manner. Apple Montesorri billing practice is threatening and predatory in nature. On Monday, 3/20, I received an email indicating paymment should in full in 2 days or "your application will be denied". . I didnt want my daughter to attend a school with such practices so I didnt pay tge inviice forgetting that I had given them my credit card info. . My card was charged on Friday 3/24. Today on 3/27, I contacted them telling the school I'm no longr interested in their summer program. They claim I cant reverse the charge and my daughter must attend their summer program that starts 2 months away. I've already called my bank to reverse the charge. But had to leave a review as this practice is predatory and manipulative. I only wanted my daughter to attend due to the daily swim classes n activities. But I could not in good faith support a school thats so impersonal and threatens parents. Their proram doent start till after July 4 by tge way. We're still in March!.

The only thing school really cares about is money and how to get more money from parent's pockets. We had a very bad experience when they started charging us for AM and PM care randomly for being 1 or 2 minutes late or early. When we tried to explain that the timestamps appear to be made up(which they were - I had proof), they just charged us anyway(without authorization). Even when the assistant director told us that there was an error on their part, the tuition director didn't refund us the charge. Following is what I observed in being ~4 years with the school: 1. They find new ways of getting money from parents. 2. Their fast track program($100 per month) is a waste. When the teacher of this program left, the school didn't inform the parents about it and kept charging us. 3. Even the tution director who does the billing doesn't know the correct buffer pick or drop times for the parents. These buffer times changed when I exchanged emails with her. Earlier it was said that it's 10 minutes for morning but later this was changed to 15 minutes in the same email thread.(looks like a scam to me) Their payment system has been designed to make holes in parent's pockets: 1. There is no free AM or PM care, and buffer times vary based on whom you ask. 2. During covid they did close classrooms for weeks, but we as parents never asked for refund. They should have at least brought it up. We kept our kids home and never said that we need money back for services we never got. 3. Fast track classes are charged $100 per month. Why would you charge for extra class when it should be available for every kid paying the monthly tuition? I can't give less than 1 on review, but if they keep going on this path then parents like us will keep leaving this school. Please do not send your kid to this school. Stars for the management : 0

Barnstable Academy in Oakland NJ has drastically declined under its current leadership. What was…read moreonce an inclusive and supportive environment is now overrun by bullying, intolerance, and widespread drug issues. Students openly admit to gossiping with staff, and the culture among faculty is equally toxic--judgmental, unprofessional, and in some cases, outright inappropriate. One new teacher was even caught vaping marijuana during school hours. The administration turns a blind eye to serious concerns in favor of maintaining a false image of perfection. They refuse to address problematic behavior unless pressured to do so. Their so-called "Upstander Pledge' is meaningless--a performance that doesn't reflect the school's actual values. While they're obsessed with monitoring students on cameras, they ignore the root issues until forced to act. It is a shame because it started off as a great school environment, but over the years I feel as though it is no longer a safe or healthy environment for students as it once was. I can say all this based on personal experience and my personal opinion.

My son is academically gifted but has severe anxiety and low frustration tolerance. He is also a loyal friend, lots of fun and loves learning - but he can get frustrated in the classroom. The school offers zero emotional support. And please don't be fooled by their no-bullying slogan. My son was brutally bullied by some real nasty boys while several teachers stood by and watched. We found out from the man who drove him to school. My son was too sweet to know he was being picked on. When we brought it to the attention of the principle TWICE (and her side kick), they did nothing. I assume the other boy's parents had more money because it's all about the bottom line for this corporate owned school. The academics are strong But buyer beware and please protect your kids. When I spoke to the director and owner (Gita) about the situation she said that there was no need of it because the area is quiet and, I know the area is quiet but worst things happened in the most quiet places even I did my research on the other day cares in the area and they all have security systems for the safety of the children and tranquility of parents. 2- They don't clean the driveway in the snow days. The school is located in a long dead end very dangerous. Even one day I got stuck in the snow when I was dropping off my daughter, I always drop her off at 8am and as I got stuck and I was blocking other parents entrance I took my daughter and walked to the school to see if they could borrow a snow shovel and for my surprise the school was closed so I started calling the school and at 8:35am I was receiving a text message saying the school was closed due to snow. I never got an apology or even a call from anybody and it was a terrible day because I had to call out for work. 3- Minor things but no less important as picking up my child and her being barefoot in the middle of winter walking on the floor or sometimes she was in nap time by the time I picked her and find out that she was sleeping with poop and I could tell it was old poop. And some "other things" but those are the most important. I saw Gita 3 times, 1st time when I had the tour, 2nd time when she gave me the enrollment application and 3rd time she finally was at the school, never saw her again and there are 2 teachers sometimes 3. Thankfully this 2 months nightmare it's over.

I loved this class!!!…read more Class #5429 7/8 - 7/9 @ Riverdale. 6:00 in the morning! Pre Class Communications were great especially the text and confirmation with Jen. Jen and Mike were awesome with their knowledge, communication, instructions, PATIENCE, and thoroughness with the admin side of things. They always showed how much they cared along every minute of the experience while still being firm and direct at times. I loved how they did the verbal discussion and then the demos for each exercise. I thought it was really cool that they nailed every demo! That sounds silly, but nothing more annoying than people who are supposed to lead and can't back it up with the skill. Another great characteristic of Jen and Mike was how they incorporated their vast knowledge and experience with some of the nuances of owning a motorcycle with tips, or say your friends wanting to ride with you or group rides and the things to watch out for. They gave excellent follow-up drills/ideas/reminders to continue your training which I thought just added another level of value to the experience which ties back to what I said earlier about them "caring". I know this class with Mike and Jen has improved my motorcycle skills as well as showing me what I can do AND what I need to continue to work on to be safe and successful out on those roads. Approximately 45 minutes into the first day, my motorcycle tipped over during a training exercise. The instructor inspected the motorcycle, rode it, and stated there was a problem with the shifting. Instead of offering another motorcycle or allowing me to continue the course, I was told I could not continue. Throughout the interaction, I felt the instructors were impatient and seemed more interested in ending our participation than trying to help us complete the course. Rather than looking for a solution, such as providing another motorcycle or giving us an opportunity to continue, it felt like they just wanted to get rid of us. My sister also did not complete the course, and we ended up paying $790 for a two-day program but received only about 45 minutes of instruction. I left feeling disappointed by the lack of professionalism, customer service, and concern for their students. What kind of motorcycle school gives up on its students after 45 minutes instead of trying to help them succeed? If you're considering this school, I recommend asking in advance what their policy is if a motorcycle becomes unusable during training and whether they will provide another motorcycle so students have a fair opportunity to complete the course. I would give it minus 5 star.
