I was at College Tire in Huntsville about a year ago to get a new tire because I had a flat. They were very friendly and recommended that I get all 4 of my tires replaced because of cracking. So I replaced all four and went on my way. In April, I got two flats that required two new tires again. I again took it to College Tire only for them to tell me that my tires were all different sizes - the tires that they had put on. They then told me that it was my responsibility to pay for all of the tires due to the fact that I couldn't prove that I didn't put the wrong ones on there. Ultimately, I walked out of the tire store having to pay for four "like-new" tires and have two tires that I had no use for sitting in my trunk. This was a horrible experience for me and for a college student that has a limited budget, being $300 dollars in the hole for an accident that was clearly their fault really complicates my living situation. I was hoping that they would just accept the blame for their mistake and get me set up with the correct tire, but that didn't happen. But that wasn't the end of the story. In August, after only 4 months of average distance driving, both of my front tires were bald. I had already made up my mind not to return to College Tire, so I took it down to Birmingham to National Tire and there discovered that the other two tires which weren't bald yet, were from 2005, a length of age that increases the risk of a blowout. So once again, I bought 4 new tires, the third time in a year. Needless to say, I am expecting them to last longer than College Tire's. I can guarantee that I will never recommend College Tire to anyone and won't be stepping foot in here again if I can help it. read more
