My daughter did the base work and research on her own for the foundation for her essays, but JT knew how to hone them to make sense, and get everything in the word count without compromising the emotion my girl was seeking. She was distraught and overwhelmed until she found him through word of mouth at school. JT was the first college counselor that could work one on one with her and I didn't have to be part of the process because after reading what they produced, we trusted him. She ultimately earned full tuition in 5 merit scholarships to our local US News ranked top 25 college because she had put in the hard work academically, and holistically through the years, but JT understood her goals to write a story weaving in everything she had done (which was a lot) within the word count without compromising the quality of essays. This parcel is far more than vacant land--it is part of the historic birthplace of Granada Hills. The remaining historic structures have been allowed to deteriorate over the years, and it is heartbreaking to watch such an important piece of our community's history continue to decline. This is also not the first time this property has been at the center of controversial development proposals. For decades, the community has raised concerns about projects that would intensify use of this site despite its location in a Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone and the surrounding evacuation challenges. Many residents believe these concerns deserve far more consideration than they have received. As a neighbor, I have found Heritage Christian School to be largely unresponsive to the community's longstanding concerns about the property's condition and future. Instead of working with residents to preserve this historic site and find a solution that benefits Granada Hills, the property continues to be marketed for increasingly intensive development. This land represents an important chapter in our community's history. It deserves thoughtful stewardship, preservation where possible, and a future that respects both public safety and the heritage of Granada Hills--not another proposal that divides the community. I hope Heritage Christian School reconsiders its approach and becomes a better partner to the neighborhood it has been part of for so many years.

Parking is really bad for those attending a football game as most of us visiting the football field had to park up a long hill, far from the field. No problem as I had to get additional steps in for my Fitbit but it was still as very long walk nonetheless. The field itself does not have a visitor side and a home side. All visitors sit on the same side of the field as the home fans which was definitely a first for many of us. I get it, there is a hill on the opposite side so seating on the west side of the field is impossible. The field is beautiful as is the baseball field asian to the football/soccer field. Nothing against the school itself. Simply offering my opinion of the field. When teams are battling at the opposite side of the field, it is very difficult to watch the game bcos everything is soooo far away. The visitors bleachers were sooo small that MANY fans were turned away. In this case, the early bird got the worm. Fun was still had by all and our team squeezed out a victory so life is good.
