Walked in to a very polite young lady to ask about getting an estimate on my vehicle on Friday 6-19. As she started to explain to me my options an older woman with glasses walks out of her office and interrupts our conversation for over a minute . I kinda laughed due to her rudeness. When you're stranded and they come to your rescue quickly, going the extra mile, it doesn't get any better than that! I just want to send a big "Thank you!" to Chris with Collision Specialist Tow. I was visiting the Glore Museum in St Joseph when my car got a flat tire. I called AAA and they initially said it would be 40 minutes before someone would be able to get to me. But Chris called me almost immediately and was there within 10 minutes! He was able to take off the tire and discovered a huge nail in the middle of the tread (repairable, not requiring replacement). He gave me a recommendation for a tire repair shop, and, after discussing the options with me, put my spare tire on rather than trying to air up the damaged tire. I was able to get to the tire shop (Firestone, who took good care of me) without difficulty. MANY thanks to Chris for contacting me so quickly, arriving so quickly, and getting my defective tire off and my spare tire on so quickly! Thanks to him, my visit to the Glore Museum was a pleasant experience, rather than a stressful one. I appreciate that! read more

Collision repair was called out to unlock the keys in our car. The serviceman destroyed our car trying to get the door unlocked to no avail. When we called to ask about getting the repairs done from all the damage created from the serviceman, we were told it was in their disclaimer they don't cover any damages from the failed attempt to open the door. This company is a joke and so unprofessional. Last year we donated a car to them, never again we will use this company! read more

Overpriced and unethical. My wife recently had her car towed here after a wreck. The tow was about 3 miles and they charged $85 for it. This happened on a Friday morning. They provided an estimate that afternoon that was high enough we decided the car should just be totaled. Since we were buying a new car and otherwise busy, we couldn't pick up the car over the weekend. On Monday my wife called and mentioned her plans to them, and they said she could sign over the car's title to them to settle storage costs and just pay $85 for the tow. This sounded extremely fishy to me so we called a salvage yard which offered $390 for the car. We ended up getting the car sold on Tuesday, and our total bill from Collision Repair was $185 -- $85 for the tow and $100 for the storage. $85 seems somewhat expensive but not completely out of line. But $100 to store the car for four nights? Trying to swindle my wife out of a car that was worth at least $390 (she actually sold it to a private buyer for $450) to settle a $100 bill. And of course I must remind you that it's not actually a $100 value -- four nights in a giant parking lot on Frederick sounds more like it should be worth about $20 to me. It makes me wonder how many people they take advantage of while they're stressed out over car trouble. This is disgusting behavior and I will never patronize this business again. Finally, I emailed the business three days ago to see if they could justify what they charged or how they treated my wife, and didn't get any response. read more

Collision repair specialists have now helped me get into my car twice!! I called AAA and they said that they would have someone there within an hour and a half but they were there in 20!! I was helped by the same serviceman twice! Bill was his name and he was super friendly and nice and was able to get in the car both times in less than three tries!! Yesterday I had to call my roadside assistance to have my car tow. I had broken down in a very bad, unsafe location and needed assistance towing my car immediately. Within 3-5 minutes of hanging up with road-side assistance, my tow-car truck was on-site. The driver was very professional, fast and friendly. I would highly recommend this company to all insurance companies and will now only use this company for all future towing needs. read more

Very poor! Left us with a car that has a bent axle, leaking doors, pops out of gear and makes noises and windshield wipers that did not work. When we went back about the wipers they said not caused by the accident, we took it somewhere else where it was determined it was the accident. So many positive things to say about this business! I brought my vehicle in during the canned food drive/ diaper drive,so I was able to get to utilize their current promotion. Getting service on a full synthetic vehicle can be pricey so it was very nice during the holiday time to be able to get a cheaper rate on an oil change. Very positive environment, able to work me in same day as I called, friendly staff and proactive owners! I will never go anywhere else for service! I dealt with these guys when my car had a bad lock cylinder, as they were on the list of service providers from my insurance company. I had no problem with the time it took to repair my car because I verified separately that a part had to be shipped in. Where I had a problem were the add on repairs they said I needed, such as all of the front wheel bearings needing to be replaced. I guess they didn't know that I had the suspension inspected and both the front and rear sets of brake pads replaced and set of front tires put on in the prior two months without the other repair shops even mentioning a problem with front wheel bearings. Additionally, I had recently driven the car from Texas to Missouri with no handling problems or noise. I told Collision Repair that I would pass on replacing the wheel bearings, but I would like a state inspection. They told me that the car would not pass inspection without the wheel bearings being replaced. So I took it to another shop in St. Joseph and guess what? It passed state inspection without there once again being any mention of the need to replace front wheel bearings. It takes an especially unscrupulous repair shop to try to extort extra repairs from you to pass your car on a state inspection. read more

Called my Allstate auto club to get a tow. My policy provides for a tow up to 50 miles. Collision Repair Specialists accepted the tow and I received an ETA text from Allstate. After hearing of others past experiences with this company back when I worked in St. Joseph, I started to ask for a Nother provider. I then thought to myself maybe all of the stories I heard we're not true. 30 minutes after the ETA time I called Collision Repair for an update. The lady who answered said she would call Jimmy the driver and have him call me. I waited 25 minutes for that call before calling Allstate back. Allstate advised me that Collision Despair, after all this time has passed, decided to decline the tow as it was too far for them. As previously stated my contract provides for a tow up to 50 miles the location I was requesting to be towed to 31 miles away. After waiting another hour plus Allstate finally found All City Tow in St. Joseph to take care of my tow. Apparently All City is more concerned with taking care of customers then getting their face plastered all over billboards and trucks. If you ever need a tow in that area please call All City Tow, or have your time wasted by Collision Repair Specialists. read more
