1-Star Review I…read morewould not recommend joining this club. Everything seems fine until you raise concerns about playing time. My daughter attended nearly every practice throughout the season, yet when I questioned her lack of playing time at tournaments, our concerns were dismissed rather than addressed. More troubling was the behavior of her coach. On multiple occasions, players were called derogatory names, and it was not uncommon to see athletes leave practices or tournaments in tears. Several parents documented concerns regarding the coach's conduct, yet the club continued to support him without meaningful accountability. The club also promised opportunities for players to share their concerns through individual meetings, but those meetings never took place. When I expressed that my daughter was not comfortable meeting alone with her coach lmy concerns were repeatedly ignored and no alternative solution was offered. After ultimately leaving the club, I requested a refund for the final month since my daughter was no longer participating. The club refused and has remained unwilling to work toward a reasonable resolution. Based on our experience, I would encourage families to carefully consider their options before committing to this club. There are other organizations that place a greater emphasis on player development, communication, and accountability, and who do not value their monthly fee more than their players well being.

However, the behavior of the Pompano Beach club director, @ChrisKushay, and the 14U Elite coach, @BrookeSalvato, was unacceptable, leading us to leave. What was sold as organization turned out to be stifling micromanagement, hindering growth and individuality. The lack of respect and communication from both was shocking. They purposely avoid acknowledging parents, especially during tournaments. This dismissive attitude toward parents, who are crucial to their children's development, was a major concern. It felt like they viewed parents as obstacles rather than partners. After the second tournament, we requested a meeting to address their interaction with our daughter. We asked that they treat her with respect, and address her as the intelligent young lady she is. Instead of being receptive, they were combative and defensive, trying to spin our concerns into stereotypical issues. This was unprofessional and frustrating. We joined this club under the promise of top-tier tournaments, fast-tempo play, and high-level training. Instead, we attended lower-level tournaments and played a slow-paced game--completely contrary to what was promised. Our daughter, who has played at an open level for years, needed a high-level environment to grow. Instead, she was made to feel "not good enough" despite her experience and dominant performance. When we raised this, they defended their position, claiming the girls needed to "submit" to their style. This lack of flexibility was counterproductive. The situation worsened at the next tournament. The coach disagreed with a serving approach my daughter made and, instead of discussing it, the coach jumped to the conclusion it was because her "dad was coaching her from the stands." This excessive reaction fueled by their dislike of the meeting held, led to threats of benching her rather than an open conversation. There could have been several valid reasons for her decision to adjust her approach, for example: the opponent team adjusted their defense (high volleyball IQ), or a sore shoulder after an intense previous day (wellness), she was instead reprimanded without understanding. The final straw was when the director aggressively intersected us on our way out after we already informed them we were leaving after the game, and confronted us, stomping and yelling in front of everyone, making insulting insinuations intended to provoke and, once again, spin the situation. We hope other parents trust their instincts and take note of this experience. This coach and director demand a trust they haven't earned. Their dynamic is toxic and prioritizes their ego over athletes' growth. Even though there are great individuals who truly care about the development and well-being of their athletes within the organization, and are a credit to the club, the absence of rationale exhibited by @ChrisKushay and @BrookeSalvato undermines their efforts and creates a divisive, unhealthy environment. If you're considering this club, proceed with caution. Trust your instincts and prioritize your child's well-being over everything.

Park amenities include a shade covered playground, covered basketball court, three sports fields, concession stand, dog run, exercise path, and disc golf. There is also a building that can be rented for meetings, special events, classes, and private parties. There is a plenty of parking for the recreational leagues. I was surprised at how nicely kept this park is. On the day I visited there were several teams using the fields, a group of people enjoying the shade covered basketball courts, and another group playing disc golf. I walked around for exercise and checked out the wildlife near the water. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here again but if you live in the neighborhood this is a wonderful recreational amenity to have.

They have a large basketball court area, a small park, football and 2 baseball fields. They do a lot of children's team leagues here. My nephew Jack plays here 3 days a week for a little league baseball team. He used to be on a soccer league here too a few years back that practices on the football field. They have a concession stand that is open during games that takes cash only. The park is kept pretty clean and the bathrooms are usually decent enough to use for a public park. There is plenty of parking in the lot. Most of the people that use this park either live in the neighborhood or just take their kids there for games etc. It's an ok park nothing special really.
