I have been a customer of this pharmacy for some time. I liked the staff and prompt service. However, this one incident prompted me to give one star, and they lost my entire family as a customer. So, I had a prescription of Iron medicine for my Kid. They provided an over-the-counter medicine charging me more than 3 times than its available on Target/Walmart/Amazon. It was not a generic / Custom medicine. Market price is around $8 and I was charged $31 for the same brand and quantity. That huge was the difference. When I understood the issue, I went back next day with the bottle (not opened and sealed and they didn't agree to take it back. If it was a custom created medicine, I would have agreed but it was just a standard medicine. Pharmacies do have a policy to not take medicines back but it's not applicable for over-the-counter ones. Sorry Colonia, I am not going to recommend you to anyone anymore. read more

first they have the worst parking lot ever there's a narrow opening for people leaving and coming in you have to wait trucks have a hard time getting in and out cars have a hard time getting out. Then if you drive all the way down it's a one way so the only way to get into the pharmacy is to go all the way around. The place is just dead read more

Had to get some medications that many pharmacies do not stock. Fortunately Colonia pharmacy had them in stock and was able to fill the prescription the same day. They also sell nebulizers and also had the over the counter medications that I needed. Most of the medications were reasonably priced. One was expensive, but that medication is expensive at most pharmacies. Overall I would recommend this pharmacy. They also do compounding if you want/need customized medications. Another pharmacy I called actually referred me to Colonia so they have a good reputation. read more

ABSOLUTELY THE BEDT PHARMACY EVER!!! I WOULD TRAVEL JUST TO GO THERE!!! I used another local pharmacy until they closed and thought I had received good service....until I was referred by a friend to go see Adrian at Colonia... I have a complicated medical history and was paying a lot for my monthly medications even with private health insurance. The 1st day I met Adrian he said why are you paying that much...I said I don't know I was told by the other pharmacy and local Walgreens and CVS that was the amount. He said give me a day. He called me back 3 hours later and said your medications are covered. I went from paying over $1,000/month to $40.00/month!!!! All the pharmacists are so knowledgeable and helpful!!! I picked this pharmacy because it was one of the few that did compound medication and was on my way to my office. This pharmacy would not accept my insurance, instead I was told I had the option of having my insurance reimburse me so I would only pay for my copay. My insurance was willing to reimburse me as long as the pharmacy indicated how much they charged for each ingredient but this pharmacy declined to disclose other than the total amount. read more

It's a little spooky upon entering... the feel of a quiet Hallmark store crossed with an incense-smelling "all natural" health store. However, the staff are really helpful and I became more comfortable as I walked around and marveled at the eclectic array of Hallmark-type nick-knacks and natural health related products. They carry well known brands like Alba and lesser known all natural brands, but not everything in this pharmacy is natural. They also sell prescriptions, as it is a pharmacy. Their prices are also a little higher than other places because it's a smaller store and not a large chain. I wanted to give a local business some love so I bought a few products here and will probably go again. I bought a eucalyptus essential oil and tea for my allergies and sinus problems. I recommend Colonia Pharmacy without hesitation. You walk in and feel very welcomed. They even greet you by name. My experience has always been terrific. Always helpful and informative. They go above and beyond. My prescriptions are actually cheaper here than at the box pharmacies and service is 100% better. I can always pick up a nice greeting card and cute gift while I wait for my prescription to be filled. You won't find the personal attention you receive here at the larger pharmacies. read more

I absolutely love love love this pharmacy and every person that works there. They acknowledge me by name walking in the door every time! They also recognize me via phone It's not something I would give any less of a review for if they didn't HOWEVER it's such a warm personal touch that makes you feel welcomed. They are always willing to help answer any questions and NEVER hesitate to help when anything happens with prescriptions. I don't even have to ask! They don't ever seem annoyed or rushed. They have jumped thru hoops to help me when the Drs office didn't do their part. I love walking in there. Also, everyone there has a smile - a genuine smile. Smallish pharmacy with a little area with gifts/cards. Went in because I was looking for oil of oregano and run of the mill pharmacies don't carry that. And I didn't feel like making the drive to a vitamin store. Stopped in and the pharmacist was very pleasant pointing it out where they had it (yay!). read more

If you are looking for a pharmacy that gives personal attention, then this would be the place to go. They have an extensive stock of all kinds of vitamins and many holistic preparations if you need to find something of a natural treatment. The staff will not hesitate to help you with they courteous manner to help you find an answer to a problem. Because they are an independently owned pharmacy, they deliver and pay attention to you if you ask. They have beautiful and unusual gifts that you wouldn't expect to find in such a place, but you won't find bread, milk, eggs or any foods because it is a "true" pharmacy. They charge a modest fee for delivery Monday through Friday if you need and have always been a place where you will find courtesy and respect. read more

Best pharmacist ever award goes to Charmaine. My husbands insurance states we should be using a chain pharmacy. Here's why I don't. On Friday, I made several calls trying to get an appt for my daughter to receive the flu vaccine. There was a huge mix up and miscommunication regarding the vaccine. I was terribly upset and called to speak with a pharmacist. Have you ever heard stories of mothers doing an extraordinary act to save or protect a child? Well that's what I would do, the wonderful part is so would Charmaine, a pharmacist @Colonia natural pharmacy. She displayed an incredible amount of compassion and went far beyond her job description to help me and provide support while also giving me a clear understanding to prevent a reoccurrence. Great customer service. Attention to details. PERSONAL service where the pharmacists actually KNOW their customers names and treat them with respect and courtesy. If you are lucky enough to live/work near this store pay them a visit, get your next rx filled there and find out what its like at a REAL Pharmacy. Not Walgreens or Rite Aid. The owner, manager, pharmacists,etc are all knowledgeable and willing to help. Great selection of a variety of products from vitamins to gifts. But they never forget the real reason they are there.........to provide an amazing pharmacy experience with the customer being the first priority, EVERY store should take a lesson from them. read more
