Went to an event luncheon to the this lovely venue. The food was so tasty and good quality compared to other country clubs in Fort Worth I've visited. Attentive service and sophisticated atmosphere. Construction to the club take away a little from the ambience but that is temporary. Looking forward to my next visit Valet was friendly & efficient. read more

We'll, I wish I was writing this as a review of my round at Colonial but it's a private club and I'm on the outside looking in. The reason I visited it was to see Ben Hogan memorabilia. I'm a huge fan of Mr. Hogan, and if you are too this place is a must see! The Hogan room is a small museum jam packed with Hogan mementos to include his untouched locker from the club and several sets of his clubs. His 5 US Open trophies and his only Claret Jug were on display as well. The coolest part of it all was an exact replica of his office and the Ben Hogan Golf Club company. Such cool stuff, All put together just like it was in his office. The only thing that could have made my visit better would have been a round of golf, but that's okay. The cherry on top is the Hogan statue of his famous 1 iron shot that overlooks the course at the entrance. I'd you are a Hogan fan, this is a can't miss pilgrimage to pay homage to the best to ever strike a golf ball! read more

The Colonial is a lovely course - part wide-open fairways, part winding-links. There are plenty of large trees offering shade for bystanders and the rolling hills of the course make for a real challenge. We were on course for our first visit to attend the Dean and DeLuca Invitational (aka The Colonial). Club members, course workers, staff - everything was top-notch and infused with the famous Fort Worth hospitality. It can be a little tough to get around if you're following golfers, because of the back-and-forth between the holes. But all in all, a wonderful golf course! read more

Entering the club from University Drive I got the distinct impression that this was Bushwood CC. An aging yet once prestigious venue. The building and main clubhouse tells the story with faded photos of Once champions like Lee Trevino, Byron Nelson and Ben Hogan on the walls. Being built in 1936 this place is old ALL the way around! It feels it. Long story short: it's OLD. Food is ok. Bland. I'll try it again at tournament time... read more

Lets start with the gorgeous scenery....ohhhh mawwww gawd the police officers of fort worth need a calendar....hole in one! They were all over the place. Uber....pimp...Gate 3...own pick up and drop off...great idea! so easy. Concession and Pop Up Shops and Stores...delightful, easy service and wonderful treats. However the wine was warm...so just pass on that. Grounds are perfection and other than some of the people smoking and thinking they own the sidewalks...self absorbed much?....it was a wonderful time. Went opening day and I have to say this was one of the best organized PGA golf events. We had a parking pass which parked us at TCU The shuttle bus was outside with no wait to transport us to the events front door. When we left the buses were out the door and back to the front door of the parking garage. The course was well marked for easy travel. We were able to walk with the golfers we wanted to follow and sit in the stands to watch hole one and nine. The marshals were very helpful or directions and who was coming up. Venders had standing spaced for food and drinks along the course for easy access. My only complain is I made the putt challenge and DID'NT get my coin. We will be back next year read more

I was at your facility and noticed your employees drinking on the job. They all looked underage and I was very disappointed in their representation of your club. One of the boys who was drinking was my waiter named Joseph and was stumbling around and slurring his words and looked very unprofessional. My only recommendation is to swap the front nine for the back nine and vice versa. Since the 3rd, 4th and 5th holes are promoted and seem to be the most difficult stretch of holes on the course, the level of drama would be enhanced if these holes were on the back nine. Having the toughest holes on the front nine allows time to "catch up" whereas if they were on the back nine, the crunch time drama would be increased and provide the opportunity for a heightened level of intensity for the players and the fans. read more

The Colonial is your standard country club. Pool, golf, club house, restaurant, etc. It's nice but nothing exceptional compared to any other country club. The staff is very nice but the food is not very good. I realize it's difficult to create an exceptional meal for large groups but hotels do it all the time. I'm sure the colonial is a big hit with the TCU crowd I'm just not overly-impressed. read more

The golf course is extremely challenging which is not a huge surprise. The greens are immaculate and you will not find a better golf venue in the area. I have been visiting Colonial Country Club ever since I was a child. My grandparents have had a membership since I was born. There was a period a few years ago where it seemed like the service in the dining area was going downhill but not anymore. They have completely revamped the menu and staff. They are even doing some extensive remodeling to the upstairs of the club and so far it looks beautiful. If you do get a chance to eat in the dining hall I highly recommend that your waiter be Paul. If you go enough he will remember your name and he will make sure to stop by and chat with you several times during your visit. He is very attentive and makes the dining experience that much better. read more

Very nice venue, I really appreciated view of the golfing green and fantastic service! At lunch you have the option to either order a specific dish or have the buffet. The food was all very fresh and tasted flavorful. The style of food is distinctly American. Much like the food you would find in Grandma's kitchen if she was born and raised 'Merican. It wasn't too expensive (as far as I could tell) and a very pleasant place to have a conversation with business colleagues or clients. This is one of the best events in Fort Worth. Whether you like golf or not, you'll have a blast at this tournament. There are so many food, drink, and shopping choices that you could skip the golf and still have a great time. Speaking of golf, there's a reason that Colonial draws the big names. very disappointed in the lack of customer service and communication - after us changing our date to hold it at the country club and then confirming to hold the date - when we ready for the contract after advertising and having people sign up - the event coordinator let us know at the last minute - that we need a membership or a member to sponsor us. I explained we had sign ups and have advertised it - now I going to have to find a new place - the event coordinators response was good luck, thank you for calling!!! even if we found a sponsor I would never go there again!!! read more
