I returned again this weekend expecting for the same to occur. Unfortunately, my past experience failed to meet the mark for what I have become accustomed to. My last vehicle had recently been totaled in a collision leaving me with a negative equity on my auto loan. I reviewed this with my salesman, Dan, at least three separate occasions prior to purchasing my vehicle. I was assured this would not be an issue. When the moment came to sign for the vehicle, I learned that it was not feasible for the negative equity to be rolled onto the new loan and that I would need to pay the balance in full (a sum off $1000+) as Bud's in Shelocta would not accommodate this situation. I was disheartened to learn this, but trusted that Dan and the finance manager, Jim, were competent in their advice. However, instead of fixing the problem they just flat out lied. As I returned home, I called back to question why this was so. I spoke to the owner of Buds Auto Sales. He tried to make things right with the situation, but failed to miss the mark of my original promise. I contacted Dan the next day after being unable to reach him the day of purchase. He, to my surprise, informed me that he was not aware of the situation of the total loss and negative equity and that there was no way to remedy the situation, which again was a lie. I would not be leaving such a negative review had I not been lead on to believe that they could accommodate my situation and they had been upfront with me from the start. I hate when anyone tries to make me out to look like a fool or a liar. The Shelocta location has lost all respect from me at this point. I will not tolerate being disrespected from anyone especially the way Dan from Shelocta did. Here is an idea, maybe when you make a mistake consider being a stand-up guy and admit to your mistakes or do your job correctly so that things don't happen like this for future customers. Also, instead of rushing through the sell, just hurry up and sign mindset. maybe the financial manager should know his stuff and not check with a untrustworthy car salesman. We are all human we all make mistakes but own your mistakes and treat your customers with respect that is what will keep the customers coming back.

    Buyers beware I got a car from Tri-Star I was told I was approved for a loan so I went in and…read moresigned my paperwork not sure if it was because they are that incompetent or because I was only 18 but I was told by a third party that worked there I needed to return my car or come back because the loan was wrote up wrong. I had it reviewed well my parents did and the contract was not legal however I guess they wrote the wrong loan down they said to the third party 11 days after signing the paperwork I got a call from a sales man and was told to return my car or they will lose their asses, I informed them I did nothing wrong and they were to make good on our payment. So after them making me and my parents with my 2 1/2 year old brother wait over two hours to resign a contract that was their mistake I ended paying a little more a month but we came up with an agreement so I thought okay mistakes are made however when getting the car I was told since I had a missing lug nut one would be ordered. I said about the lug nut again when signing the second loan for the car and I was told everything was the same except I dropped key care. Well that has been 40 days since the first signing and 5 calls from my mom and three from me still no lug nut today she talks to parts guy he says they didn't return calls because they lost a manager really and it would be 56.99 or something like that for a set. I was told I would get a replacement since the car didn't have one really. So the parts guy says he is talking to the first sales man I talked to and will call back. I guess I learned a valuable lesson all car places are shady but some you just shouldn't trust at all. Not sure what upsets me the most the rude phone calls , the breaching of confidentially, the not returned phone calls, the hours waiting after they made a mistake, or them trying to charge me more money after I was told something would be replaced since it wasn't on the car. Good thing I love the car because the service was completely unacceptable from sales to parts, and the biggest question I have is how Tri-Star stays in business when they treat customers so badly
