My friend recommended Village Cleaners as the first stop- she raved to me about their services as my friend had her wedding dress cleaned and altered there. K.C. the owner of the shop is Korean (Koreans are the sweetest people ever!) and she's as honest as they come. She was asking me what the dress was for- clearly I loved it bc I bought it 2 sizes too big and offered great suggestions in how to fit the dress properly to my body shape. K.C. was good about being transparent with cost and timeline, and I truly felt liked she cared :) The whole fitting experience at Village Cleaners was beyond what I expected- you normally get that kind of attention and kindness if you're spending a lot of $$$$$ in places like L.A. and NYC and even then it's not quite authentic. Just because this cleaners may be convenient in location doesn't mean they are convenient in life. 8 of the 9 coats that we received back were nice but the coat they "claimed" to never receive BUT charged us to clean will never be seen again. They lost a brand new coat, worn three times this Winter. I called them and visited but they claim my husband picked up everything and that he was the one who lost it. Seriously? When I asked for a refund on the cleaning amount (over $100), the owner literally said "No Way". I have no recourse on getting recouped for a $200 pea coat and where ever it is right now, it looks great. I know this because I paid to have it cleaned.

They have fixed a number of problems for me and for my family. Like with most tailors, it is best to go there in person to see if they can fix the garment. (Not sure why someone would call a tailor to have them guess.) I try not to demand rush service. But, the times that I have needed something done quickly, they have always helped me out. I think that they are dependable and skilled. They do a nice job on the dry cleaning too.
