I want to respond to SV who wrote. Complaints about staff are so off base. I have found our front office people to be friendly and responsive to our needs. They were the selling point and decision maker in my coming here to rent. As for rent, we would all like our rents lower. It is scary being on a fixed income and facing that uncertainty. The maintenance team has been very responsive when there is an issue. If my garbage disposal is a problem they come and fix it. They helped me search the parking lot and found something I had dropped and lost. They could have said they would keep an eye out and forgotten about it, but they did not. And in my conversations with other tenants, I have heard very few complaints, if any. I like the socials, the food truck events, and appreciate any activity that helps me meet other residents. Hello potential tenant, I'm taking a few moments to give you the courtesy of a review of this place having lived here, and dealt with endless annoyances, and petty dealings by Colony management. This is my unbiased opinion but also one shared by much of the current tenant base who are all slowly making their way out as newer and better buildings are coming up around very quickly. Review: One star just for showing up (like the SAT) but it honestly should be less. This place is truly terrible and has gone downhill fast with the current management team. Prices say luxury but everything about the amenities and the apartments scream basic and even low-end. Fees...there are fees for everything and the morons they hire to manage this place couldn't exist without these fees because they sort of make up for their incompetence and help them hit their quotas. Yes, there are quotas which is why when things are slow they'll start charging you extra for things or having your car towed because it is touching the white line in your own parking spot. It's all just revenue generation for them- and it's frankly disgusting to see some of the older residents in the community struggling to afford to live there while everything about the quality of it goes so far downhill. Low-end appliances that never get fixed (dryers that don't actually dry), AC that is constantly going out and needing repair, and garbage disposals that can't handle much more than water. Snarky, rude and generally intolerable front desk folks who try to suck their residents dry by constantly raising prices on everything but then host weird little forced interaction giveaway events (very let them eat cake) in order to try to buy their affection. How about just don't raise rent every 5 seconds and/or try to tow your residents or charge them $100 for plastic bracelets, etc. these people don't care about you and will literally do anything to make a buck because they're so badly mismanaged. I have it on good authority that they're actually being sued right now because of how they dealt with some resident interactions, and I believe that based on how they responded to some of the issues I raised with them during the time I was there. If you're smart and you're reading reviews like this before signing a lease I'd like to offer to help answer any questions you have about this godforsaken landfill and help you make a better, more informed decision to live elsewhere. I visited Colony At CenterPointe yesterday morning and was greeted by Bianca Dicarlo upon entering the leasing office. She helped me to identify the apartment floor plan that would best suit my needs. I will not be moving until the November/December timeframe and I know that she only has availability 60 days out. She still took the time to show me the amenities, apartments and answer ALL of the questions I had. Bianca is very friendly and professional. I felt at home within moments of entering the leasing office. The property is very well-kept and offers many amenities and resident activities. I look forward to more interactions with Bianca. Love living here! they always provide activities or food trucks, service requests are done quickly and the front staff ladies are always friendly and surprisingly know our names. I have lived here three years and these apartments are going downhill fast. I can hear the neighbor above me dogs walking. That's how thin the floors are. I can smell smoke coming through the vents of neighbors who smoke. I've had my car towed twice within a six week period. Five people in my building and 17 in the neighbor hood in one night. Managements excuse is they don't get paid for the cars that are towed, my argument is they wouldn't come unless you gave them permission. The first time my car was towed it was one day after the tags had expired and i hadn't received them in the mail. The second time they claim they couldn't see the parking pass. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Seems nice when you're looking until you actually move in. read more

Moved in when the complex first opened - was the first person to live in my unit :) Lived there for 2-3 years. All in all, really really liked living there. Trying to be thorough because I know how it is to go apartment hunting with no reviews... PROS: beautiful apartment, spacious deck, safe/quiet area, loved night swims at the saltwater pool, nice gym/rec space (usually empty + free coffee all day). Price was super reasonable when I lived there, but see cons below. Everything they sold me on when I moved in was true. CONS: Mainly price - they won't want anyone to say this, but I considered moving back at one point and was floored by how much the rent had increased... it was like $500 more for the exact same 2BR apartment, only 1 year later, absolutely insane. I think folks wanting to move into a "nice" area or from out of town are driving up rents because they just don't know how unreasonable they are. You could easily buy/rent a house nearby at that price point. Also normal for apt living but worth mentioning: the noise did bleed pretty significantly from other units (this was why I moved initially - I'd recommend a 3rd floor unit) and the dog park wasn't cleaned regularly (definitely take a flashlight at night if they haven't put a light out there yet). They were starting to put restrictions on nighttime access to the pool when I left, which was a shame because it used to be open until 10 or 11, I think. read more

We moved in March of 2020 and the pandemic/quarantine had just begun so when we had lived in our apartment and realized the faucet constantly dripped and never fully stopped spraying we were frustrated but understood that it was not an emergency worthy of repair during a pandemic. The same can be said for our ice maker which made ice but was incredibly loud and made such loud noises that it could wake us out of our sleep in the middle of the night. The problem is that the entire duration of our lease term (which we ultimately ended 5 months early because we were so dissatisfied with our time there) was under quarantine so these were always considered emergency work orders and were never fixed. The fact the these apartments were just built in 2016 adds insult to injury because you expect a fairly new and quality product, but it definitely looks like it was haphazardly thrown together with no real quality to the work. The next most frustrating part of our entire lease term were the noise issues. I don't know if we were stuck with the most inconsiderate neighbors in the world or if the shoddy work just meant that we had incredibly paper thin walls. Our upstairs neighbor was the biggest culprit of our noise issues. The noise constantly started during community quiet hours of 10PM to 6AM. He would vacuum at 10:30 at night, lift weights at 2:30 AM, stomp across the floor at 4:00 AM and we'd even hear screams and what sounded like running in the early morning hours. They happened multiple times a week and usually woke us up sometimes not allowing us to fall back asleep for hours. We sent multiple emails to the office and nothing was ever done, the noise issue never changed once, in fact over time it seemed to become more frequent. We were told by the office to contact the courtesy officer for issues that occurred during these quiet hours, but anytime we did, we never once received a call back. We also experienced noise issues living close to the clubhouse, this didn't bother us during the day but on certain nights usually around 11PM to 11 AM people would begin playing bocce ball right outside our window. I am not sure what the point of a courtesy officer is if they don't respond or do their job, but they were completely useless here. Not addressing issues in the community seems to be the office staffs forté. The parking in the community is ATROCIOUS. Especially if you live closer to the front of the community. If you don't get a spot in front of your building before 5PM you better bring a good pit of shoes because you're walking from the other side of the neighborhood once you've finally found a parking spot. This is frustrating because as you walk back, you'll count multiple cars that do not have proper decals or any decals at all, meaning they should not be parking in those spots. We contacted the office about this and either got no response or a dismissive we'll send the tow truck around tonight. But we never once saw a tow truck in the neighborhood during our entire time living there. So many cars did not have decals and parked in residential spots, yet no one was ever towed. There was also a major safety issue for some time when people's cars were being broken into almost nightly. The reason I feel I need to let all of the dirty laundry out about this community and really do my part to ensure people don't make the same mistake of renting here as we did is because of the crazy false move out charges they are now trying to pin on us. I am currently disputing them with their corporate contact and I am prepared to speak to a lawyer if they aren't willing to fix this. I am sure someone from the office or corporate will respond to this and try to save face but I have no patience for that and I wash my hands of this experience the moment I submit this review, I just want people to not risk living here and experiencing what we went through. read more

The complex recently was bought by a large corporation and has since gone downhill. Rent is quickly getting hiked, customer service has dropped off a lot, and they keep squeezing in extra fees. And for some reason they refuse to hire lifeguards for the pools then won't let anyone use them after 3. Pretty place but not worth the pain read more

My welcome to this community started off poorly from day one. No assigned parking spots----had a small U-Haul Truck and was confronted my an angry neighbor screaming at me that I took her parking spot---again no assigned parking spots! When I tried to explain that I was only going to be approx. 1 hour this neighbor almost hit me with her car. Fast forward a month---come outside one morning to find a threatening note on my car about a parking spot---complained to management and was basically told if I wanted to file a police report here is the number. Although I gave the office the license plate number of the car who was parked next to me they did absolutely nothing! The apartment was nice aside from the constant drain gnats and the loud neighbors upstairs. The walls are paper thin. So thin you can hear your neighbors phone conversations!!! They charge you for pest service but I was never able to get rid of the drain gnats!!! Maint. decided to come in after me being in there for 3 months to change the HVAC filter. Upon move in I had to purchase a new filter because the one installed was completely black!. The laundry room wouldn't close....took them 2 weeks to fix it! I was in the apartment for 4 months. I kept the apartment spotless. I moved out and received a final bill charging me $15.00 for a "dirty toilet". The dirty toilet they claimed had a blue ring in the bowl from a blue/white Clorox Toilet Cleaning Bowl Drop that was in the tank! They basically charged me $15.00 to flush the toilet. On top of the $15.00 they charged me $65.00 for "Warped Drawers/Cabinets" and said it was from wet dishes being put in the cabinet/drawers. Again I was in the apartment for 4 months! I would of had to put every dish in the cabinet/drawer soaking wet for a year to damage the drawer and cabinets!!!! I am 45 years old and no how to put DRY dishes away properly. Brought this up with management once again and was told it was not on my move in statement. Now, the move in statement said nothing about expecting the inside of a drawer. How smart do you have to be to realize I could not have caused this damage in 4 months! So they must charge $65.00 every time someone moves out of this apartment. Maybe this is how they pay for their Starbucks in the club house that no one can use! This complex is a rip-off! Neighbors are rude. Management has absolutely no intelligence and could care less about the tenants concerns. If you like drain gnats, rude and loud neighbors that let their dogs poop everywhere this is the place for you!!!! Don't be fooled by their response to this review. THEY DO NOT CARE AND WILL NOT ADDRESS ANYTHING BUT MASS MOVING PEOPLE IN ALL THE WHILE DISGUISING THEIR HIDDEN FEES/AGENDA! read more
