Reuben from Colony Fencing is price list. We had our fence put in 8 years ago before we moved into our house. We are dog lovers and wanted no one to ever get lost. He put up a top quality fence which was great for our two dogs. Recently, we added a big female husky who is an escape artist. Reuben was right there almost immediately this past fall to put up extra height on the fence where needed. And, just today he was there again within 30 minutes of my calling, when we were frightened when our wonderful Husky dug a huge hole to get out into our frozen pond again. Reuben and his men put two huge rocks to fill up the hole and hopefully block her escape in the future. And then he adjusted the gate lock on the fence before he left. Ruben was helpful and patient while I waited 10 months for a building permit to replace an existing fence. When they ran into a natural part of the fence line that presented a problem, he spent the extra manpower to make it right and it looks great. Ruben is a great guy and knows his stuff. He showed us several styles and provided much needed advice on things we never would have thought of. We wound up picking out a vinyl fence and it looks great while providing much needed privacy. Pricing was competitive and services were rendered as promised. As with any installation there is sometimes a need for the contractor to come back. Colony fence has been great making minor repairs when a huge storm system blew in last winter. Reuben came out to assess what I needed and gave me a fair estimate. When I asked him how quickly he could put up my fence, he said, right away and asked for a deposit. I asked when a was the exact date that he would be starting, he gave a date that was in 3 weeks! I asked why he told me it could be done immediately- I needed it done ASAP for a safety measure- and he was MIA and virtually unresponsive. Ruben has now completed two projects for me. At first he put in a white vinyl fence in my backyard which was a large job. Second he repaired a chain link fence at my mothers house. The workmanship and service are second to NONE. Ruben is a very honest trustworthy gentleman and his prices are competitive. A year after he installed my white vinyl fence I called him because one of the post caps was missing (I wanted to ask him where I can buy one as i was having trouble matching them at Home Depot and Lowes) He told me he was bringing one bye and will put it back on the fence for no charge. DO NOT WORK WITH. This company is run by an incredibly unprofessional and rude owner. I came as a very eager customer based on the reviews I read, and requested an appointment for them to visit my house and measure the property. I requested a time during my workday that I had a 1 hour window of a break. The time comes and goes, and I have to check in with them if they are on their way. They only then let me know that they were running close to 45 minutes behind. I wasn't able to wait that long because my break ended, so they told me when they could come later that same day, and I cleared another hour later of work to meet them. They AGAIN tell me they're going to be 45 minutes late. I let them know I was having second thoughts if this is the way they conduct business -- if they can't show up on time to basically the sales pitch for doing business with them, I'm not willing to wager that they'd be reliable as a crew on this project. The communication I had with the business owner was mind-blowingly rude on top of everything. read more

Colony installed black chain link fencing around most of our back yard in 2013. Prompt, neat, quick and clean. Beautiful job. In 2015, after a neighbor skidded on ice through our picket fence, Colony replaced the stretch of picket fencing, and an additional area so it would all match. Due to the many positive reviews I decided to contract Colony Fence to replace a fence at my house . The day arrived I was told by Ruben his crew would arrive at 8:30 am and complete the job by the end of the day . Well at 10 am I tried to contact Ruben . Got a recording for another company and waited almost an hour for a reply . Seems Ruben was away and no one knew anything about my job . The gentlemen told me he would get back to me and after 2.5 hours I called back . Seems Ruben was AWOL. After calling my bank and checking to make sure I could cancel the deposit I finally heard a response . It was a screen shot "oops I think I made a mistake see if the guys can do it Monday . I consented . Monday the guys show up at 9:45 and ask me where the fence needs to be installed riding in a truck with another name on it . I have never been treated so poorly when I have spent this much money at anytime in my life . To top it off I was told Ruben would return today 4/2/19. Not even a call to apologize for the error .
