**UPDATE** The General Manager contacted me. He apologized for the communication problems. We were able to find a resolution for the last job. He also said he would handle my jobs from here on out so we didn't have any further problems. I am optimistic that things will go more smoothly from here. Color FX staff replied to my Yelp reiterating that if you upload a file and need to change the file you can not. Yes Color FX I understand this now, I'm out over $1000 because of this policy. I was not aware of this policy when ordering the post cards and was completely shocked when they would do nothing to help me. I have used Partner Printing, 4 over and 4 printers only for gang run work and they don't have these rigid policies. Price and turn time is on spot as well. ColorFx is not a fit for my company and I will not use them again. Thank You ColorFx for pointing out that I didn't understand your policy. Two parts to this review - sales rep. and production manager. I agree with the other 2 reviews regarding the sales rep. My sales rep. was rude and unhelpful when placing the order online. My sales rep. was misleading on the price along with shipping. He also denied my request for a particular type of fold that was needed for the brochure. Therefore, I was forced to choose a fold that I did not want. However, the production manager called to inform me that the layout of the job calls for the fold I originally requested and that he could do it. I appreciated his call and he did the Correct fold on the brochure. When I received my order, the brochures were packaged horribly, and damaged from the shipping. The corners were bent and there were spots on the printing. I called and emailed my sales rep to receive no answer. I spoke to someone in customer service and they said I had to file a claim with UPS. Both reps, said I had to return the product at my cost. I told the rep I was gonna hang on to 50 samples (order qty. 1000) to give to my customer, he said that I could not keep any samples. I had to return the whole order. When I spoke to the production manager to complain, first thing he asked was, "did you keep any samples to give to the customer?" The production manager listened thoroughly as I explained the troubles with the job and my sales rep. He would take care of it the job. I received a proof to verify cut marks and specs. I received the order 5 days later and it looked great. The production manager really listened to my needs. He understood the job called for a roll fold, the brochures were packaged beautifully and rubber band, and the order was doubled box so there would be no damages from shipping. They only got 2 stars because of the Production Manager, otherwise it would have been none. If I had dealt with the production manager from start to finish, I feel everything would have gone a lot smoother. read more

I've used them a few times and every time we had problems their customers service is there worst that we have ever came across they print quality is poor. Nobody calls you back they seem to think they are the best and only printer well with horrible print work and service I would only say RUN RUN RUN Zero stars read more

I don't want to give this company even one star! I used Color Fx one time, a few years ago, for a postcard run -- the product they delivered was of poor quality and the customer service was unpleasant. I would NOT use them again. About a year ago they started to bombard me with spam/email, touting their business. I called them, explained my past experience with them. I clearly stated I would not use them again and asked to be removed from all lists for email or any other forms of correspondence. That worked... for a few months. About 30 days ago the spam/email attack started again and I receive something from them almost every day. I have now emailed them FOUR times, within the past 30 days, asking again to be removed, once again, from all of their spam/email/mail correspondence lists. Yet the spam/email continues... Perhaps if they put as much effort into their work and customer service as they do into this aggressive spam/email campaign they would not be so damn desperate for business. read more

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE , this is the only way that I can describe this company I've never had such a bad experience dealing with a business, they're rude extrimily rude . I placed one order for flyers and postcards when I uploaded the fliers the browser shut down and they consider that as accept it and did not allow me submit the proper file. Poblem number 2 the service was supposed to deliver in 2 to 3 business days we go on Friday and they only have the Flyers. We go back on Monday and the other part is still not ready , why do you offer a service you CAN'T deliver . Next step charge back because they won't do a refund . BUYER BEWARE read more

I'm a Graphic Designer and have used several printers throughout the years. Equally as important as price and print quality is customer service and I have found that the quality of the product and the customer service support at ColorFX to be excellent. I just reprinted a job from last year and was extremely happy with the results. There were issues during the initial print last year but Mark Russell, prepress and now Customer Service guru worked tirelessly to find a solution to the problem and this reprint was flawless. This company does not live up to what they say they can do. The testimonials on their website are very misleading. If you ask me, I'd say they are fictitious. They are very unprofessional and very unwilling to refund any costs associated with your job. They are only willing to offer you a discount instead of a full refund, even when the job is clearly unacceptable. I have dealt with other on-line companies and never have I had an experience like I've had with Color Fx. Other on-line companies always more than willing to offer a full refund. Color Fx Inc is by far the worst company I've dealt with. Stay away from them at all possible costs. It's worth it to pay a little more. read more

Recently used ColorFX to order business cards with some specialty printing. On the phone ColorFX said they could do what I asked for, but when product was delivered they didn't. On the invoices they did not put the special options I asked for on there, and said they had no record of me asking for it. No refund, no replacement, despite "100% Satisfaction Guarantee" listed on website. The CS Manager called me a liar. read more

Not sure about some recent posts on here, but I have been using COLOR FX for all my printing needs. I have never had any issues or complaints. They always go above and beyond for their customers. Hmmm, sorry to say I ordered business cards through this company a few years back (so things might've changed by now) & it took 2 wks to get them. There was no pre-proofing when I ordered them & when I did get them, they were so off center, I was embarrassed to use them & ended up tossing the cards in the garbage. The customer service was bleak (not very helpful) & I regretted using them. I don't think they really care about customer satisfaction & are only in it for the money. Enough said. read more

Color FX is fantastic! I recently used them for a rush order. I called Color FX with an order for 10,000 EDDM postcards. The problem was that the order had an in-mailbox deadline which was in only 4 days! Not only did Mark Russell handle everything with a smile in his voice (even though I was stressed to the max!) He got the order to me exactly when I needed it. The postcards were perfect, bundled in groups of 100 and neatly packed and delivered, Ok, I'm gushing, but really, they're awesome! read more

BE VERY CAUTIOUS. THEY DO NOT BELIEVE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. The actual print quality wasn't bad for the price. The problem is that you will not get what you pay for and no one at the company is concerned. I placed an order for 1000 Business Cards on 16pt. CS2 paper with UV Coating. This was simply a test order as I order thousands of cards and flyers from other companies, but they baited me with a low price. When I opened the box to view my cards I noticed that their were a few hundred cards sitting on the top of other cards which were neatly stacked. The cards sitting on the top were frayed and damaged at the top and bottom due to loose packing. When I made the company aware of this their "Customer Service Supervisor", Mr. Russell stated that he had spoken with the production team and the cards on the top were just overage. I replied with an actual photo showing the damage to the cards, as well as a photo of 1000 cards packed and shipped correctly on the same paper which showed that the information from his production team was incorrect. After proving that the cards on top were not just extra cards, he proceeded to tell me that I needed to first mail him the damaged cards and then and only then would he send me what I had paid for. I have to spend more money and time to simply get what I had paid for...unbelievable! STEER CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY IF YOU CAN. read more

I've worked with ColorFX for over 20 years now, and I've never had problems. Quality and service is exceptional. They are a trade printer, which means they are setup to print for other printers at wholesale rates. All negative reviews here are because people writing the bad comments don't know what they are doing. Don't expect low prices, and for ColorFX to do your work for you. We get low prices from ColorFX because as resellers of their printing, we should be the experts and customer service representatives for end clients. ColorFX is not a graphic design and printing school. If you are a professional, then ColorFX is the best. Their equipment is top-of-the-line, and they care about what comes out of their shop. They also do custom work, unlike most other wholesalers. They always come through, and they don't go around your back to take your clients like the other printers that you say are better. read more

I have used them many times. I am changing my opinion after recent events and disrespect shown to me. They would not price match another company for just twenty dollars less, which is pure greed, and then charged a $30. cancellation fee for just an ESTIMATE when I decided to use the other company! Not only that but also they did not follow my most basic instructions not to send it to pre-flight. Now, it took a WEEK to cancel this stupid estimate, they kept wanting me to talk to the sales manager just for me to cancel, for why I have no idea, and he was never at his desk. It was the worst thing I have ever dealt with as far as customer service. I told them if 30 dollars is worth an upset customer, that's up to them. Well, apparently they do not really care. Mind you, I am still waiting, almost four weeks later for the money back. Also, I had another order printed just before this, and I drove over 40 miles to pick it up. It was not folded as I paid a lot for, and there was nobody at will-call with about three hours left in the work day. I had to lean into the counter and yell for several minutes before someone came. The guy says to me there is no one here today, just my luck. They did deliver it, and folded correctly the following day to their credit, but I wasted hours in traffic, and gas, and everything else with them lately has just been TERRIBLE! they have good printing and colors usually come out right. but their prepress LPI output is lower than 150 (other printers have LPI of 200-500) so printed photos show a lot of grains and look likes they've been printed on a Digital press. so for this reason I'm out! read more

I just happened to be reading some of the reviews here and I'm here to tell you that the bad reviews are probably mostly competitors trying to give Color FX a bad name. I can tell you with no reservations that Color FX is one of the best commercial offset shops in SOCAL, if not THE best. I've been using them for years as one of my major suppliers, and since I keep my clients for many years, I need to have a shop that will give me superior service, great quality, and good or even great prices. If I didn't get all of this from Color FX over the years, I can tell you very honestly that I would not be writing this right now. I've been in the printing/graphics/ad specialty industry since 1978, and you will not find a more honest, hard-working bunch of people than Color FX. I don't want them to get too big for their "britches" (like 4Over) - but I want and need them to do well and stay my major supplier for many years to come. I hope this counters some of the ridiculous bad reviews I've seen here. Don't believe them people. Color FX has been around for a long time and will be around a lot longer giving us their great service! read more
