I have long, silver hair and was nervous about trying a new Salon. It had been awhile since my last cut and I was afraid, based on past experience that I would end up with more cut off than I wanted or have unwanted suggestions about hair coloring. Neither happened and the staff could not have been friendlier or more professional. I will certainly be using this salon exclusively now. The salon is very clean and conveniently located. I have taken my daughter to this salon several times over the past year. I'm conflicted with how to review, because we have had color and cut and both have been done well on most occasions. On one of our visits I did specifically suggest the stylists strip the hair before coloring so my daughter would have the saturated color she was after, but she said she didn't think she needed it and the color did not turn out as we had hoped. Disappointing, but I still came back because they had done a great job with color before. On our last visit, my daughter's stylists stopped working at least three times to answer her personal cell phone. I find this annoying and unprofessional. While I understand the occasional need to attend to personal business or emergency questions that arise, this was repeatedly the same person calling with the same issue. It was annoying and prolonged our time in the salon. Unfortunately on our last two visits I was really turned off by issues that went unaddressed while I was there with my two children. The first time I had to request a change to the music playing because it was blatantly inappropriate due to language and content. They did change the playlist once I asked, but it surprised me that I really needed to speak up since my kids (10 and 12) were sitting in plain sight. The last time we were there another customer was talking loudly and cursing a lot while, again, both my kids were there and obviously hearing the conversation. I really would have appreciated one of the stylists gently addressing the fact that there were kids present. If the customer had continued to speak that way, I would understand...but the staff are the ones who should be providing a safe space for customers. If the salon is geared more towards an adult clientele, please say that when I schedule appointments. I understand that I didn't need to worry about my or my kids' physical safety while I was there, but, in my opinion, a safe space also includes respect for age appropriate content and professional demeanor. I believe the stylists at Color Me Krazy are talented and I am disappointed to seek out a new salon for my daughter. I hope they can make a conscious effort to improve professionalism and the salon atmosphere so all feel welcome. read more

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Kristen cut and colored my hair. It was a very pleasant experience and she did a wonderful job. I left feeling amazing. I love how she cut my hair and created layers, and the color is exactly what I could have wanted. (She gave me blonde highlights). Kristen and her staff were professional, friendly and inviting. I was welcomed when I arrived and didn't have to wait. Kristen was friendly and made conversation. And l wasn't there very long, in past experiences with other salons I've been there for hours...The prices are also affordable. I'm definitely going back! I honestly don't even know how to begin...Kristen was recommended to me by a friend. I was living in California, but was getting married in NY. Kristen took the time to email and set up a phone meeting with me to discuss options. She was super patient with me (especially since I didn't know where to begin). Once in town, she cut my and my fiance's hair and we talked about the day. She and Savannah consulted with me about hair and makeup and never were pushy or made me feel like they didn't listen/hear me. On the day (when I was super stressed), Kristen, Savannah and Nicole were pros. They were friendly and helpful while doing amazing work on myself and my sisters. They really made me feel like a bride. I have never felt as beautiful as I did on that day - and they had a huge amount to do with that. I never do reviews, however I felt the need to do a review. I never liked getting hair cuts and was a little scared coming in the first time. I had Berlinda the first time and absolutely loved and trusted her with my hair , she did a great job and left my hair feeling so healthy. That being said I was excited to come get my hair cut a second time bc she had recommended to come in 2 months later, however she was not in when I made an appt and I got Amanda. I was again a little nervous to get someone new, but I was in love w the results!!! I told her to do whatever she feels would look best and be better for my hair. I have so much trust for both, they deff know what they're doing. Both ladies are sooo great, my hair has never felt or looked so nice!! Not to mention both are just such nice ladies. They make me so excited to get my hair done!! Deff my new hair salon, I can't wait to continue going!! read more
