Went here yesterday with my 7 year old daughter, my dad, and step mom. We called ahead and spoke with Hannah, who told us she would reserve a table for us as it was a busy Saturday. After getting lost in traffic (maps will take you to the Dimond mall even though it's next to House of Bread) she called us to check in and still kept our table for us. What a fun activity on a rainy day, and to be honest, I wouldn't even do this type of thing, but the ladies working here made it for me. They were so joyful, helpful, sweet and fun, it really made the whole experience. Go do something different and unwind! PS: my mug + my daughters horse came to $59 plus a $10 tip, so $69 total, which feels a little steep for the two of us to go do a craft. Wish it was something we could do more often, but nonetheless it was a good time and unique! read more

Love the way I feel after painting a beautiful piece of pottery. They are very careful following all the Covid rules. Everyone is wearing masks, they clean the tables after each use! Considering this place has no competition up here that I know of, I can't really knock anything about this place. It is clean on the inside and the staff is super friendly. I came here for a birthday party and so we used the big back room. The only thing I have to say is, unless you have someone coming in to use that room maybe don't try to rush the birthday party out 15 minutes before the party is over. The place was super busy, all tables full and the prices are reasonable here. I'm not sure of daily specials but I would hope there are some. The selection is just meh. I've been to other painting studios in the lower 48 and they had way more to offer. I would come here again maybe at some point for a girls night out. read more

Such a cute fun place to have a date night!!! The wife and I did some anniversary gifts to each other here and loved it. The staff is friendly and very very helpful. A little costly and time consuming but totally worth it. Plan on staying at least 2 hours and more if you're very picky and anal about your work. The also host birthday parties and have classes. I visited this place the other day with my daughter and two grandchildren, 7 and 3 years old. We had no idea what this place was about but heard it was a great time! As soon as we walked inside we were greeted right away. They follow all the Covid mandates. The place is very clean, brightly lit and very well laid out. Wendy was so nice and helpful, patient and sweet to the children. The kids "took" to her right away. She was quick to show us the process and offered great suggestions. There is so much to see and do it's hard to describe. If you want to have enjoyable time expressing your creativity in a calm environment or spend some quality time by yourself, friends or family, you must visit this place! If your tired of wondering what gift to get someone or just do something for yourself, and totally original this is the place! Thank you Wendy for making our afternoon awesome. Had a good time - if you don't want to EAT, or go to a movie, this is a great alternative for a group or family. I brought my sons here and the rest of my family, including the grandparents - and everyone had a good time with their individual project(s). You can be a little sloppy and still come away with a good product. Fun, and you get a little memento. - it DID cost about $160 for the five of us, with our medium/small pieces (the kids did two each), so it isn't exactly cheap, but that's the ONLY reason for not giving 5 stars. Dropped in on a Friday night. They were running a Black Friday promotion so studio time was only $1! We had the place to ourselves and staff was so attentive! Get the VIP option. If you plan on going more than 10 times in a year (and I most certainly do), then you will get your money's worth. I've been going here since my last review and I fully understand why paint is gotten by the staff now. If they let me do my own, they have to let everyone. Also it's job security and the staff gets to interact with the customers and give advice on color choices so you get the best piece. So many times I've gone with other colors and loved the results based on a staff recommendation. I've learned tons more techniques and started a tile project for a table I have at home. I love walking in this place - it's my zen/happy time. I always bring my music and earphones when I go to paint because sometimes I like to zone when I do anything artistic or crafty but I have rarely ever use them. There is always someone to talk to (staff or customer) and it's always a good time. But if you're not so into chit chat, no one will bother you if you throw on headphones and get to work. Personal choice. I can come here with my kid and even if she doesn't paint she has a ball with the staff or plays with the toys they have available. I can come here alone and feel totally at peace. I've come here on sunny days, freezing days, sad days, happy days, and everything in between - always leave happier than when I came in. Wendy - this isn't just a business...you and your wonderful employees have created a community and an outlet for so many. We paint ceramics in our home town and love it but we honestly learned so many more techniques at this shop in one day than we have learned in the past year at ours. We paint at ours weekly so that is saying a lot. I love the techniques, the painted samples and the support I saw these ladies giving to those with disabilities from a local home. Experience was as good as it had been before COVID. However, the manager took her mask off every chance she got. A review mentioned that everyone was "masked up," so I was very disappointed to see someone not wearing there mask. Every time she walked behind the desk, towards the door, or to an empty table she slipped her mask below her mouth, onto her chin. Be advised that the CDC social distancing recommendation is 6 feet WITH masks. Without masks, the CDC recommendation is 30 feet... 30 feet. Be professional - keep your mask on. Additionally, I have very bad asthma but I where my mask properly, like an adult. There is no excuse. P.s. the employee Oz, kept their mask on the whole time and was very kind, 5 stars to them! read more

I am willing to bet my children's lives on it! I also didn't write ANY reviews other than your own website's survey until after my telephone conversation with you. So how could you say that you would normally offer a discount or something but because I'm posting reviews all over you elected not to. That is a ball faced lie. I will now be recording any and every telephone conversation with you in the future, and I will post it on any website that I am able to write a review on. The first words out of your mouth when you returned my call were "You aren't a customer, so how can you have a bad experience". Wow, that shows what you are concerned about. You really think I would be writting these reviews if you had rectified the situation on the telephone? NO! I am going out of my way to write reviews and let the people know what you are really like BECAUSE of your attitude on the phone, which was no different than your attitude in person. If you can't or don't want to deal with people because you just had surgery (and don't use breat cancer as a pitty party, because my mother in law and aunt DIED of breast cancer), then you need to elect to have your STAFF deal with customers so that you don't across as rude. Rather than calling me back, you should have advised an employee to call me back, appologize and invite me back to experience all your business has to offer. This isn't my first rodeo lady!! I have been in customer service for years, and I would NEVER treat a customer the way you treated me in person, and on the phone!! Trust me people, you DON'T want to go here!! read more

Unlike going to restaurant or to the movies, you'll get to explore your creative side here and bring home your work of art as a souvenir. Kids especially love this place. I've seen several families visit here and it looks like everyone was enjoying themselves. The staff was very helpful on assisting us from choosing the pieces we wanted ot paint and all through out the painting process. I've been to other color me mine in the nation and I'm pleased with this location. It's clean, the help they have are outstanding and their choices of pieces are vast. I bring small children and we always get assistance so the adults can continue to paint once the kids are done and get bored. They have a good system, are clear with directions, and are always available for help. This is a GREAT place to take your kids! Expect to spend more time than you originally planned... It just naturally happens. It was about $50 for two of us. It's worth it, you get to enjoy quality time with the one you brought with you AND go home with a beautiful piece. Its easy to spend that much money at the movies when you factor in popcorn and snacks. I highly recommend color me mine. read more

Very disappointed. I have gone to a Color Me Mine in Minnesota several times and the experience was delightful. This one in Anchorage was a huge disappointment. There were so many rules that it felt more like being in elementary art class. The room was too packed to even navigate to get paint or brushes. These are things that I could live with. Yesterday we got our items. The colors were not close to what they should be. After 4 coats of paint (according to staff sh I ukd only take 3) it came out looking like water color instead of solid color. This leads me to believe the paint is watered down. They were very stingy with the paint amount they would guve you at one time, so I expect it must be expensive. This was a very expensive outing at more than $40 for each person. We will not be returning. There is a place in wasilla we will try. read more

Great, GREAT place. Had a large group of Veterans and their family with Wounded Warrior Project and the staff was INCREDIBLE. Everyone had a wonderful time. The service dogs that came with the Veterans had a wonderful time as well. If you are looking for something to do with your family and joke around while having fun, this is your place. read more
