My daughter was charged a bogus $10 studio fee. She was not told of this fee before hand. She had to completely clean everything and what did the workers actually do. They up hard all of their products and have a bogus handling fee on top of it. I called management and there were not willing to budge off this and the manger was extremely dismissive toward me. As a parent I'm very unhappy of any establishment taking of young children. For a simple $10 they would rather have a very irritated customer. I have no problem spreading the word about how poor the color me mine customer service is. I want a refund!!!!!!!!!! Scam alert!!!!!!!!! Horrible customer service. Never called to tell me my items were done, never told me they were only obligated to hold them for thirty days. The manager tells me its on my receipt. Who reads their receipts? I followed up and it was more than thirty days from when my kids made their pottery, and its been thrown out!!!! No refund, no store credit. They offered one free studio fee after they throw away four kids' art without so much as a first phone call, much less a second phone call. No proof they ever called in the first place, btw. Oh, and when I followed up, I spoke to a young man who told me he would have the manager call me. Never got a phone call back. He also said it shouldn't be a problem and he's seen people collect their items years later. "Oh he doesn't work here anymore" the new manager tells me. read more

Ive been to the Oxford Valley mall many times but never knew this place existed until my wife mentioned it. It's actually a nice find and a good place to bond with your kids over some arts and crafts. The gimmick is; you come in, pick some ceramics to paint, they give you 6 colors and the kids do their thing. They have many types of ceramics the kids can choose from (princesses, superheroes, etc.) and there are several pricing tiers so there's something for everyone. The whole process took us about an hour. The end result wasn't what I imagined, but the kids had a great time and the morning activity was a big hit. You also have to come back a week later to pick up the finished product. The price was pretty steep. With the fees and item costs it came to just under $60 for 2 kids! It was all disclosed beforehand, but I was still shocked. Knowing now how much it runs, I probably wouldn't come back again. However, I do recommend this place of you're looking to spend some quality time with your little ones in a setting that's elevated from the typical Chuck E Cheese and trampoline place type activities. read more

Don't listen to their "it'll be done in a week" claim. Absolutely ridiculous. I've waited 10 days, went to pick up and they said my items haven't even gone into the kiln yet. So much for being ready for Christmas. $155 down the drain. Then they call and leave a message that a portion of my order is now ready, but the remainder will be a couple more days. Then we call back to question this and they tell us that none of our order is ready. It will be 4 more days. Seriously? This place is poorly run. Nobody knows what is going on. You don't need reservations but you should call ahead to see if there is a party. Just in case. You don't wanna get stuck around a lot of kids (unless you have one, I guess?) Unlike a lot of other paint your own pottery places, they bring the paints to you, you don't go up to get your own. This is good because it means no one will be hogging your red...but bad because the staff isn't entirely that attentive. Really nice selection of paints but they don't have any of the speckled undercoats here. Shame. Firing takes 4-5 days which is a lot shorter than some places. They have a sitting fee of $10 bucks flat plus whatever pottery you want to paint. I picked a $13 square plate. Median price was $15 with the larger pieces going for about $22. Keep in mind that this is not going to be cheap, but it's worth it if you want to try your hand at your own stuff. read more

I like it here. We like painting & bringing home our new creations. It's something I can enjoy with my 10 year old as well as my teenager, huge bonus. This location wants to get your paints for you instead of letting you do the picking & refilling etc on your own. That's fine but there's usually only 1 girl there each time we go so we end up helping ourselves anyway. We would probably come more often if not for the price. I don't mind spending the money for a nice piece of art as much but the sitting fees here are high so it really jacks your total up. I noticed we were charged for all of us when I wasn't a painter, just sat at the table & helped my youngest with the tricky areas. Kind of expensive stop but we all enjoyed ourselves & love the finished products. read more

The one in Hamilton, NJ is MUCH better. I would recommend going there. I went there with 3 friends about two weeks ago. We were able to sit right away, but I think we just had good timing because several parties after us had to be put on a wait list. We picked out our pieces and started to chose our colors. What they neglected to tell us was that they were out of black and white! BLACK AND WHITE! The two probably most needed colors -especially since one member of our group was painting a santa - red, black and white - you know. The girls working there weren't overly friendly but got our paint for us. We had a groupon and they were kind of nasty about it, checking it to make sure it said Saturday/Sunday, which it did. Almost like they wanted to catch us with a mistake on it, so we couldn't use it. They said it would take 5-7 days. Well, two weeks later, I called them to ask about the pieces and they said, "oh yeah, they're done". Well, thanks for the phone call. I went to pick them up and as there were 4 of them, I didn't ask that they unwrap them all. I guess maybe I should have. Two of the pieces were fine but.... One was a tumbler that came with a top. My friend had chosen a blue one, and when I unwrapped the piece, there was a white one instead. I guess they switched it and neglected to tell us. Also - another friends piece has paint specks on it. I saw the piece before and I know she didn't put them on there, so I guess they got paint on her project before it got glazed and didn't bother to try and take them off. read more

Fun if you can actually get inside the store. We had a scheduled appointment but when we showed up the store was closed and no one was answering the number we called. It took almost 45 minutes for someone to finally show up. Once inside we had fun painting so let it go. Now, we are trying to pick up our painted items. It is 1:10pm in a Wednesday and the store was supposed to be open at 10am. Once again it's closed and no one is answering the phone. Not worth the hassle. My kids are disappointed they can't get their items. read more

Their sitting fee is very expensive. They took over 3 weeks to get my pottery back and when I call to check the status there isnt any tracking system. The only staff member I had contact with wasnt much help nor was she creative with my project when asked. I heard their is a place in Newtown that doesnt charge sitting fees. read more
