I recently did a remodel on my home's kitchen. I used a general contractor but he didn't do…read moreelectrical work, nor would he sub, so I had to find an electrician to install outlets, under cabinet lights and a chandalier. After reading the glowing reviews, I requested a quote from S&E along with three other electricians I found. S&E was not only very professional and courteous but also reasonably priced. Two other electricians insisted that I had to replace my whole panel, which made their quotes over double my budget. The other electrician refused to wear a mask (This remodel was during the worst of the pandemic and S&E wore masks the entire time). S&E did a beautiful job and they were flexible with our changing schedule; even working weekends to help accommodate us, and they also did a couple small side-projects (installing a new GFCI outlet on my deck and replacing an outdoor flood light) I'd been wanting to do for a while. Unlike the pretentious attitudes I encountered with the other electricians, Steven and Esteban are really down-to-earth, nice people. Remodeling a kitchen is such a stressful experience but working with S&E was the easiest part of the whole project (I literally had problems with everyone else... roofer, GC, light, cabinet and flooring suppliers, countertop installers, appliances, etc.). The chandelier replacement was a tough process because it had to be moved a few inches to re-center it in our dining room. They worked on it for a long time to make sure it looked perfect. S&E are now my go-to electricians. I can't recommend them enough!

I reached out to CHCD because we were looking for a Quiet Cool whole house fan and they were listed as a dealer/installer. I left a message during off hours and received a call the next day from Andrew (who turned out to be the owner). We chatted a bit about what we were looking for, that we had just bought a house and would be looking to do this in the next couple of months. He quickly put together a quote for us and, without pressuring me, said just call us when you're ready to get this done. Well, we moved in, took a couple months more than planned, spent what money we had and needed to wait for tax refunds to get this one done. I reached out to Andrew and he worked hard to give us any discounts he could to make this work for us, set an appointment and got the install finished. I must say, his crew was top notch! They worked fast, included us in the details of what was being done, made the work look like it had always been there and had us up and running within 2 hours! I used to sell and help run a Quiet Cool company in California, where they're made and these guys at CHCD did a better job than many of the guys who've been doing it for 10 years! I had contacted another attic fan company in Denver that advertises a lot with discount coupon. They gave be the run around on venting . When I contacted Colorado Home Cooling , you knew you were dealing with professionals. They gave me a written estimate by email and were able to work me into there tight schedule.. They came up with an even better solution once they saw the attic and what they had to work with. If they can do such a super professional job on my sectioned attic , a normal attic would be easy. They had all the right equipment with them, started the job right away. They even pointed out a problem with my furnace flue going through the roof , a potential leak. They fixed it for me ! Can't say enough positives. Cleaned up everything, check that it all worked and finished the sane day. They use top of the line fans and don't sell you want you don't need. I have 2 other houses and will be using Colorado Home Cooling for them. This is the company to deal with. As for those concerned on the cost of a fan , you will thank yourself every evening as the cool air fills the house and your A/C isn't used. Wow, I call CHC on Saturday and they came on Monday to give me a firm quote. I wanted a 36in fan but he said that I only needed a 30in. I agreed to the price that was less than the quote he give me over the phone. They installed the 30in fan, 5 vents and completed the job in 2hr 15min that same day. It looks great and is very quiet. it just turn spring so I will see how good it works once the weather starts to get hotter outside, I would give CHC an A. But the vents that they installed are big. so it would have been nice if they came in more colors. also with their price so competitive they could have include the shutter cover in the Quote, I would have gotten one right then. I will still give them an A but they did miss out on the sale of the shutter covers. PS if you're looking to get a whole house fan you can't go wrong with CHC. They do great work read more

After a lot of research throughout the Denver metro area, I decided to have Colorado Home Cooling install my whole house fan. They explained to me that their estimate would only change, for instance, if my interior walls were plaster as opposed to drywall, causing considerable more work, or that possibly my attic would require more vents than anticipated due to my present lack of ventilation. One thing I've learned with large purchases, such as a whole house fan, is that you get what you pay for. There is always some business that will underbid the next guy, but I've learned that long term it just isn't worth it. The quality of this whole house fan is phenomenal and I have already seen my energy bill drop dramatically. Honest. I called CHC to schedule a repair on my whole house fan. When switched on, the motor would make a horrible sound and not work. An appointment was made for the next day. Ryan found that the pulley was not properly secured to the motor shaft, a small screw and new belt was all that was needed. He easily could have just replaced the motor at a higher cost. Also, he readily installed more roof vents to get the correct amount of air flow through the attic. It had always remained very hot year round in the attic as a result of this lack of ventilation (not good for the roof during the winter snows). Now, the fan system works better than it could before, a very efficient way to cool the house down. I would call them again! read more

What an absolutely great experience across the board and would hands down recommend to ANYONE looking to get a house fan installed The initial phone call was informative, no pressure and was able to give an estimate a few hours later. At no time did it ever seem like they were trying to sell me into features (such as WiFi control) that I wasn't interested in. Jordan and the guy helping him were respectful and very clean. Whole process took about three hours and could barely tell they were here. Owner, Andrew Hitchings, was very prompt in responding to my request for a quote on the purchase and installation of a QuietCool whole-house fan. I received additional quotes from others, and though the prices are very competitive, selected Colorado Home Cooling for the job after reviewing the bios of Andrew and his staff on their website. Jacob and Chance were onsite promptly, as scheduled, knew exactly what to do to ensure adequate attic ventilation for the fan, completed the job within a couple of hours, demonstrated the fan's functioning and maintenance for my wife and me, and didn't leave until all of our questions were answered. Since my attic has no insulation now, I chose to buy a whole house fan and have it installed before summer. CHC gave me quotes for three types/sizes of fan. I chose the "QuietCool" with 3 fan settings. Carl and Chance were my installers. They were on time, very courteous, worked together well and cleaned and vacuumed afterward. My questions and concerns were always answered promptly. One small wiring problem was fixed with every attention to detail. If I decide to have tube lights added, I will definitely do business with them again. Except when being tested, I have not used the fan yet, so the quality of the product is untried. We had these guys install a whole house fan in our 1894 Victorian for energy and cost-efficient home cooling. They selected the correct size fan for our home, their installation day was quick and efficient (which is often not the case with an old home like ours), and the fan has run perfectly since then. We also asked them back to swap out the timer with a 12-hour timer for all-night operations. And we asked them to install a bathroom fan while they were at it, since they did such a great job. They also now carry Sun Tunnels, which we might ask them to install soon. Great local business!! read more

All you could ask for. The installers were professional, on time, polite and efficient. The whole process took only about three hours which included installing 5 roof vents and painting them to match the others on my house. The price came out exactly as it was quoted over the phone and the fan works great. They use a high quality large blade fan that is both efficient and quiet, paired with self opening/closing louvers that look inconspicuous when closed. I inquired with multiple local companies before deciding on CHC and am glad I did. I would recommend Colorado Home Cooling hands down. read more

My experience with CHC was fantastic. I didn't get a fan installed, but the company does attic insulation in the winter and that's what the doctor ordered for our 25-year old house. Ryan Starr and his team accurately estimated the scope of the project and finished the job quickly and professionally. It took only about 3 hours and the guys were great. Now we have R50 cellulose in the attic!!! it makes a massive difference. They cleaned up everything afterward and even assisted with Xcel Energy rebate paperwork. When it comes to home services, CHC sets the bar exceedingly high. They installed a whole house fan that dramatically reduced the amount I need to run my AC. They were on time, professional, and completed the install faster than expected (~3.5 hours). They cleaned up after and took some time to train me on the many ways I could use the fan to save energy and improve comfort in my home, some of which I wouldn't have thought of. Colorado Home Cooling installed a Wholehouse Fan in my home this summer and it has been a life saver. This is the second review I have written, since Yelp threw my first one out. Not sure why, but at any rate this company came into my home which had an attic which was converted into a bedroom. They did a fantastic job troubleshooting my situation and getting a large fan installed vertically in my upstairs bedroom wall. Not only do we love our Quiet Cool whole house fan but the process was super simple, the team was super professional, and we love how small and how quiet it is! The crew was on time and professional. There had been a miscommunication and they and the owner worked hard to make it right. Their tech came to our home last week (once he…read morefinally got around to showing up on the second day after he was scheduled to arrive) to perform what I expected to be warranty work on our AC since they installed it in 2020. He very condescendingly informed me that the leak was coming from our evaporative coil but "they didn't install that evaporative coil" so it wouldn't be covered by the warranty. If I wanted the evap coil replaced, it would cost me $3500. I thought that was pretty strange -- that they would install a $7,000 AC in 2020 but not install a new evaporative coil with it? Hmm.... Needless to say, I didn't have him do any work since nothing was going to be covered by the warranty. Next, I called Signature Heating & AC (they were recommended here in Nextdoor). Their tech informed me that the evaporative coil in my home was manufactured in 2017. Since our previous AC unit was installed in 1998, Summit HAD to have installed the evap coil. I ended up having Signature Heating recharge our AC. After thinking about it over the weekend, I contacted Summit and told them that I found out they lied about the evap coil and told them I was considering legal action. Only then did Summit "look over their paperwork again" and admitted to installing the evap coil. Now they say they are willing to honor the warranty and will only charge $1260 in labor to do the work - which would be great if I hadn't already paid $767 to recharge our AC system! Too bad they weren't honest from the beginning. Not only that, but the Summit tech forged my name to the diagnostic invoice. Also, to find the refrigerant leak in the first place, the Summit tech told me it would cost me $1100 for a pressure test. But when the Signature tech arrived, he used a refrigerant sniffer to locate the leak at no charge. I highly recommend Signature Heating & AC. Quentin (Signature) spent a lot of time explaining what was wrong with our system and gave us some options. I didn't feel like I was being lied to, up charged and taken advantage of.

If…read moreyou want to be completely disrespected as a woman, spoken to in a deeply condescending manner, and treated as if you couldn't possibly understand basic technical issues, then this is the company for you. They charged us for an inspection that was clearly not done properly, pushed us to replace perfectly functional parts at nearly 10 times the market price, and literally laughed in my face while telling me my HVAC system was "shitty" and needed to be replaced. Three days later, the system had another issue because they completely failed to identify the actual problem. We were then pushed yet again toward more interventions and more part replacements by a manager who had never even seen the HVAC system himself and could only give vague explanations about what the issue "could" be. When I later requested my file, pictures, and full documentation from the visit, nothing was ever sent. No transparency whatsoever. We finally contacted another amazing company ALTITUD BRO HVAC-- which I strongly recommend -- and unlike UHCPC, they actually inspected everything properly. They identified the issue immediately and charged us only $400 for something that probably would have cost us over $2,000 with UHCPC. What a joke. And the funniest part? They're apparently just as bad with plumbing. We worked with them in the past on another property and, after charging us over $20,000, not only were they unable to properly fix the issues, but they also damaged one of our showers. Matt Robledo, the owner, even told us he had to fire his plumber Dave because "he was not good" and promised us compensation or future repair credits. Of course, none of that ever happened. Once they take your money, they seem to forget your name very quickly.

2026 Update: One of the exterior irrigation pipes has cracked. After consulting with irrigation…read morespecialists, we were informed that the pipes installed during the 2025 repairs were designed for indoor use rather than outdoor applications. As a result, the exposed conditions caused the pipe to fail in less than two years. The irrigation contractor will repair the damaged pipe; however, it is likely that other pipes replaced during the 2025 repairs will experience similar failures over time due to the use of the same unsuitable materials.

This company has no call/no showed me more times than they have honored my appointment. Both…read moreelectrical and HVAC departments. Tonight my basement flooded and I called the emergency line. My window was 10pm-2am. The restoration company was there and gone and 2am came and went. No call/no show. Ralph said he left messages for dispatch and the tech because he couldn't get it touch with anyone. Avoid this company. It's a huge waste of time.

When I later scheduled a diagnostic visit for a non-cooling AC unit, the technician misidentified which condenser served which zone of the house and diagnosed a bad capacitor on the wrong unit. I paid a diagnostic fee but was left troubleshooting the actual problem myself after realizing the unit that was diagnosed was not the unit experiencing the issue. Mistakes happen, but the combination of poor follow-through, lack of attention to detail, and ongoing communication issues has left me with very little confidence in the company. I would not recommend them based on my experience.

There was a slight deviation from the equipment in the quote and what was installed and I wasn't even worried. Three weeks later I got a call that they had the part and they installed it! Being true to what they commit to, even if I wasn't bothered by it, seems to be their culture. Thanks!

My description of the problem helped them suspect correctly what the problem was. In less than 3 hours they arrived with the replacement part and restored my service. The immediate service was amazing, but the kindness of the 2 service men was even more special. They were congenial as well as efficient. They gave me tips about efficient use of the cooler. Overall, their service was wonderful.

In 2013, I purchased a townhome in need of total renovation. The inspector pointed out that the…read moresump pump needed replacement and the furnace may need to be replaced in the near future. After a year of dealing with a noisy furnace that was unable to heat my townhome adequately and an inadequate central air conditioning system I decided to get estimates on replacing the furnace and sump pump, cleaning the a/c compressor, draining the hot water tank and placing a pan underneath which was also recommended by the inspector. My employer highly recommended Quinnair so they were the first company to evaluate my jobs and give an estimate. Another company would only give an estimate on the furnace and sump pump and the third company would only give an estimate on the furnace. I decided to hire Quinnair, not only were they thorough, they included several additional services with their estimate along with a much better furnace (97.3% efficient) than the other companies who offered an 80% efficient furnace. Their Better Business Bureau and Angie's List ratings were much better than the other company's ratings. The afternoon before the furnace was scheduled to be installed, I had set my central air conditioner at 77 degrees and at that time the interior temperature was 78. I left for a few hours and when I returned the interior temperature had increased to 81. I had hoped that a thorough cleaning would solve this issue but when the representative arrived the following day, he examined it and found that the compressor was fried and it was inadequate for the size of my home. I had to make a decision quickly and if it wasn't for the representative's knowledge of current financing offers, I couldn't have afforded it. With that said, Quinnair came in under the third company I interviewed who was only going to replace the furnace with an 80% unit. The installers were professional and stayed until 8 PM on the second day in order to finish the air conditioner installation and 7 PM to finish the jobs on the third day. All the jobs were completed in a timely manner and I can sense a huge improvement. I am very pleased with this company and their dedication to their customers and the local community. I intend to hire Quinnair when I need to replace my water heater.

For years my grandparents trusted this company, then I have had other plumbers in here, and…read morediscovered the subpar work and inflated prices my people had been paying for decades. I'm leaving this review today because I had this company work on a shower for me, work that was never done correctly. I had this company out 3 times to check the problem and they told me there was no problem. Today I found out the cement work and the sealing of the shower were done incorrectly. I'm thankful for the plumbers that have come into my house and been honest with us, we're getting good work done, work that will last years. Not half assed jobs meant to bring the plumber back collecting money, but never fixing the problem. I've saved hundreds of dollars over the last 5 years by not calling Coffman. I see now that y'all were nickel and diming my people for years. Shame on you for the crappy work you did in my house and the money you drained from my people.

After 30 years in home without AC, we just had Coffman install a Carrier heat pump! The team…read morearrived right on time, spent the good part of the day on install without issue and instructions on unit was explained well before leaving. Property inside and out was cleaned up to my satisfaction. Very good service/new install experience overall and I would recommend Coffman to anyone. Hopefully rebate with Xcel Energy will help with costs.
