Headline: You can get AC repair and replacement done for A LOT less with other companies. Shop…read morearound! I had tech come out last week to look at my AC, which wasn't working. Cost me $130 for the inspection. The guy didn't really know what he was doing. I had to tell him to check the compressor. He'd only checked the capacitor and couldn't figure out why the condenser kept tripping the circuit breaker. It was the bad compressor that was drawing too much power. If I hadn't told him to check the compressor, I would have been out $130 and no closer to knowing what was wrong with my AC. Once WE had figured out what was wrong, he told me it would be $4900 to replace the compressor and immediately tried to steer me toward replacing the entire condenser. I got two quotes from them this week for condenser replacement. One was $8900 with a Trane unit and the other was $9050 with a Lenox unit. I ended up going with another company, which is charging me $2900 to just replace the compressor. That's $2000 less than the Lakeside H & AC quoted me for the same work. I did have to pay $120 for a second inspection but it was worth it. I might have been able to get my AC working again for even less money with another company but after being without AC for 10 days during a heat wave, I was ready to just get the work done. Here's some VERY important information about HVAC: Private equity firms are moving into this sector and driving prices through the roof. The bigger the company, the flashier their vans, the more likely they're owned by one of these firms and if you go with them you'll be paying WAY more than you have to. Again, shop around! Go with small companies or even a single guy with a beat-up, old van. You might even be able to find one that won't charge you for the inspection or at least charge you less. Chances are they'll do just as good a job if not better and they'll do it for A WHOLE LOT less.

If…read moreyou want to be completely disrespected as a woman, spoken to in a deeply condescending manner, and treated as if you couldn't possibly understand basic technical issues, then this is the company for you. They charged us for an inspection that was clearly not done properly, pushed us to replace perfectly functional parts at nearly 10 times the market price, and literally laughed in my face while telling me my HVAC system was "shitty" and needed to be replaced. Three days later, the system had another issue because they completely failed to identify the actual problem. We were then pushed yet again toward more interventions and more part replacements by a manager who had never even seen the HVAC system himself and could only give vague explanations about what the issue "could" be. When I later requested my file, pictures, and full documentation from the visit, nothing was ever sent. No transparency whatsoever. We finally contacted another amazing company ALTITUD BRO HVAC-- which I strongly recommend -- and unlike UHCPC, they actually inspected everything properly. They identified the issue immediately and charged us only $400 for something that probably would have cost us over $2,000 with UHCPC. What a joke. And the funniest part? They're apparently just as bad with plumbing. We worked with them in the past on another property and, after charging us over $20,000, not only were they unable to properly fix the issues, but they also damaged one of our showers. Matt Robledo, the owner, even told us he had to fire his plumber Dave because "he was not good" and promised us compensation or future repair credits. Of course, none of that ever happened. Once they take your money, they seem to forget your name very quickly.

As a result, the exposed conditions caused the pipe to fail in less than two years. The irrigation contractor will repair the damaged pipe; however, it is likely that other pipes replaced during the 2025 repairs will experience similar failures over time due to the use of the same unsuitable materials.

Like ALL scam HVAC companies, they told me that: 1) The previous job done was shoddy 2) They could help me with tons of problems that were unrelated to my issue. They said that the prior person had done a bad job and thus my refrigerant was dirty and needed to be drained, the system cleaned, and the refrigerant replaced. I was quoted $4100 for this service, which was $800 off as I am a VIP member. I told them that there was no way I was paying that, and I got 2 more quotes. One for $2300, and one for $1500, for this SAME service. But wait, here comes the fraud. The $1500 guy came out and tested the coolant prior to replacing it and said it was in perfect condition, it did not need to be replaced, and in fact the issue was that I had too many return ducts in my basement open, which was causing the freezing up. He shut one return, sealed off the other, and for $99 my problem was solved. Thank God I called an ethical company and not scammers. I e-mailed their GM after the scam artist sent me the $4100 quote (Which would have not solved my problem, at all, even .000001%) and they never even responded. I'm sure if they are stealing this much from other customers and committing fraud, they don't need to respond to prior customers. Well they can definitely mark me down as a former customer, not a prior one. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY.

Based on my (detailed) request, I appreciated they were did schedule a consult quickly. The tech that came out, while punctual and respectful, didn't appear to focus on and provide a suitable solution for my specific needs (I was quoted for a small expansion tank to add - something outside the water heater that was making noises / having the issue). After getting advice from others, I would have had to spend more time and money as the expansion tank would not have solved the issue. Quick response and quote, but not really what I was specifically looking / needing. Not to say I wouldn't consult them in the future for other, more general repair needs.

Avoid this company at all costs and find a trusted local plumber instead…read more I have roots in my drain, so every year I have to get them cleaned out. I've used Elite once before, and I decided to use them again. But this last time when they showed up, I scheduled what should have been a simple $79 annual pipe cleaning. Instead, it immediately turned into a hard-sell pitch for an $8,500 trench-digging and pipe replacement -- a major job that might be needed someday, but certainly not urgently like they claimed. (Mind you, they didn't even guarantee that this would fix all my problems. They said there might need to be more jobs that get done after this $8,500 job. ) They used sales tactics to try to scar me and make me think that I would only be getting this price for one day. I declined MULTIPLE TIMES because I wanted a second opinion, and I'm very glad I did. ALSO - Despite paying the $79, they didn't even clear the roots from the drain -- they just told me it was "too overrun" and then pushed the upsell anyway. After that, I received phone calls from them twice a day for a week trying to get me to schedule the expensive work. And Elite kept calling me. Trying to see what they could do to "earn my business". Eventually I got into a long discussion with one of their salesmen, and long story short, they talked me into considering them for a hydrojetting job. - Which would clear my roots, and they could then decide how bad my pipes were and what kind of further service I would need. Which they quoted me $1,600 for. Eventually, I had another trusted local plumber take a look. And they confirmed I had roots and a few other minor problems. But the roots were definitely the biggest problem that are causing my backups. and he also suggested hydro jetting done by his friend. So I scheduled him and he charged me a fraction of Elite Rooters 1,600 dollar price tag. I was blown away by how simple the hydrojetting process was, because by that price point, Elite told me I thought it was such a complex process. Bottom line: This company uses high-pressure tactics, inflated pricing, and artificially urgent sales pitches. Don't be fooled by the $79 "special." Hire a reputable local plumber -- you'll save money and avoid the corporate upsell games.

Plumber to Avoid: Elite Rooter Plumbers…read more Do not every hire this company!!! Ever! Seriously hire any other company. Please read below before you think about calling them for assistance I had a sink clog so it wasn't draining at all. The guy came within 1-2 hours of calling. First thing he did was try to sell me a $1200 pipe cleaning. I said, I don't need pipe cleaning, I just need the clog resolved. I then agreed to pay ~$250 to clear the clog. He worked for 15-20 minutes and said he was unable to remove clog with snake and he needed to use the water spray to resolve the clog. This was the $1200 service. I had already been dealing with the clog all day and just wanted it done so I agreed. He worked for maybe another 45 minutes and declared the clog was resolved. Then he demanded a 5-star google rating. I said well I guess you fixed it so sure. He did not put the drain back together and left. I was happy to have the sink to use for preparing dinner. I put the drain back together. It was just as clogged as when the guy got there. I called him. He returned and said he didn't know how to resolve clog but his boss would contact me on Monday. This was a Saturday afternonn/evening. I was not happy about not having a kitchen sink for rest of weekend but we dealt with it. I waited until 1pm on Monday to be contacted by his boss. I was not given his number. When I had not been contacted, I called and requested a refund. Obviously, I'm not paying for not having a sink for another 2 days, let alone $1200. I found that price absurd and you should too!! For all I know the guy did nothing since the drain was still clogged. I hired another company (Mile High Drain) who sent out two guys and resolved the issue within 45 minute. The put the drain back together and we have had no problem since. I paid them $175 plus a $30 tip for each guy. I assumed that the Elite Rooters had refunded me. 6 weeks later I was going through credit card charges and realized that that charge had not been reversed. I assumed it had been a mistake and called to remind them to refund me. I waited another week, still no refund. I have called at least 6 times, trying to be nice, to request the refund. They currently claim that their customer service cannot refund the charge and that a "manager" has the power to do it. They state they have told the manager to contact me and so far he has not. On my account they say the refund was denied because "the work was completed". I have told them I just want a refund. I don't want to hurt their business but I cannot in good conscience not make this public, whether I ever get refund or not. This is the worst customer service experience I can recall. Please, please please there are many great plumbing business in the greater Denver area who you can hire who will treat you great. This business is not one of them.
