Dr. Resig was great! I broke my ankle in Vegas and had surgery there so I had to find someone in…read moreColorado for continuation of care. I found Dr. Resig through Google. He had the most immediate opening which aligned with my timeline. Unfortunately he did have to inform me that I may need to look at hardware removal in the future, but I love a doctor who is transparent. His medical assistant Caley was also amazing. She checked my incisions and removed my stitches. While it was uncomfortable, it was still a great experience. They both have great bedside manners. Dr. Resig's timeline is different than the surgeon who did my surgery, as he will have me bear weight on my ankle sooner, but as daunting as it sounds, if I can get back on my feet sooner, I'll take it. My original timeline was non-weight bearing for the first 6 weeks, and this moves it up two weeks! I originally was going to go with a different doctor and office but their scheduler told me that they would want to see my X-rays, unfortunately I wouldn't be able to get it in time for that appointment so I looked elsewhere and I'm glad I did because I was stressing out about it. TL;DR I highly recommend OCC and Dr. Resig for your foot and ankle woes. The whole team there is awesome and so friendly.

The pre-operative process is quite thorough with access to online information, email information, a phone call from the nursing staff before the procedure and a reminder call the night before. Once inside the facility all the staff with whom I came in contact were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, respectful of my privacy and professional. I was well taken care of by a pre-op/post-op nurse, Kim, who did an exemplary job explaining everything to me both before and after my procedure. The nurse anesthetists and the doctor also came by to explain the procedure and anesthesia and to obtain consent. My wristband was checked several times to make sure I was who they thought I was (interestingly, they do not ask for a picture ID upon arrival but that may be due to the fact there is a photograph attached to their EHR). After the procedure, your report is read to you with post op care instructions. The facility is super organized, clean and comfortable for the couple hours you are there depending on your procedure. Overall, I would return here if I had to have any additional testing or for an elective procedure. 5 solid stars.

This is a long-overdue review. I was diagnosed with a synovial cyst in my spine pinching off the…read moresciatic nerve. The pain was excruciating. I was 63 at the time. I saw Dr. McPherson in May of 2020. He looked at the MRI and he recommended a minimally invasive procedure to remove the cyst. The doctor I saw for a second opinion recommended fusing the discs at L4/L5 (6-to-12-month recovery time) and removing the cyst. I went back to Dr. McPherson for an opinion. He said although I did show signs of age-related disk degeneration, it wasn't the cause of my current problem and may not even be an issue for 10 or 20 years. He still recommended the conservative approach to remove the cyst. I chose to go with his recommendation...I am SO glad I did. 45 minutes of surgery (June 3, 2020) and a 1 week easy recovery took care of the problem. That was two years ago...no pain, no issues! Dr. McPherson is an experienced, established physician, yet talks to me like I'm an intelligent adult. His staff worked overtime (sometimes at midnight) getting me through the pre-op requirements during COVID. I HIGHLY recommend him! Thank you, Dr. McPherson, and staff, for giving me my life back!

I've heard outstanding things about Dr McPherson from a co-worker who is familiar with his work but…read moresadly I didn't have that same experience. I met with him last week for an initial visit for cervical disc replacement surgery. I'm not sure if he was just having an off day or something along those lines but he seemed very distant and almost disinterested in being there. Discussing the surgery and all things involved he was very basic and seemed not very forthcoming. It felt like I had to beg for answers to some very basic questions (aftercare, recovery time, limitations). The feeling I got was that he would have rather been somewhere else and smugness. He also appeared to not be a fan of workers comp patients, perhaps that was the reason I got the attention I did. I will say the front office staff was very kind and organized. Again, giving him the benefit of the doubt, perhaps he was just having an off day. Perhaps not. Either way when you walk in the door all that needs to stay outside. My fear would be Dr McPherson having an off day while slicing into my neck. Final thought is to always get second opinions, or thirds or more.
