Major shoutout to Erin L At UCHealth Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Clinic - Lone Tree. She's awesome! Unfortunately I've had nothing but bad experiences with the Inverness location. My assigned Physical Therapist, Cynthia Jacobson was unresponsive; taking anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to answer emails. She did not update my records (leading to weeks of wasted time, effort and back and forth). And ultimately lied about her conversations with myself, my surgeon and my insurance advocate. My much needed surgery is not able to be scheduled at this point. Leaving me seek therapy elsewhere. All of this could've been handled 6 weeks ago had she done her job! If you have the misfortune of working with this facility please keep this in mind, oh and don't bother going to their supervisors (they don't care either). Document everything.

Colorado Orthopedic Consultants in Aurora is an organized office. They sent me texts and emails prior to the appointment to get paperwork filled out. Once I arrived I had a short wait to see the doctor. His PA came in first and looked at my ankle and then I had X-rays done to check on status of fracture and healing. Dr. Meyers evaluated the X-rays and found my ankle was healing. All of the rooms I was in were clean and stocked with cleaning wipes. The office has a large area for physical therapy that I just saw. Be aware that parking is limited outside; there is a large parking garage that I ended up in since this office is adjacent to a hospital.

My arm was NOT healing and the pain was unbearable and they didn't seem to even care. Dr. DeLaRosa immediately said he was very concerned on my first visit and ordered blood tests and took x-rays and told me that there is definitely something delaying the union of the bone and it was not okay to keep waiting. Within 2 weeks, we had performed surgery and my bone had been stuck in the muscle the whole time and was never going to heal without surgery. Dr DeLaRosa put in a plate and screws and the bone is literally in perfect alignment again! Today my arm is nearly back to full function and better every day! I cannot say enough about the quality of care from all of the staff from the front desk to the schedulers, the MA's and of course Dr DeLaRosa....everyone at OCC went above and beyond for my care and still does!

Well, he agreed with the 1st and 3rd surgeon, that they were onto the right diagnosis and he could take care of it. Dr. Garramone spent as much time as I needed, not rushed out the door after a few moments... unlike some of the other Drs.... just saying... I liked his precise analysis along with his suggestion to also use PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) Therapy.. so I said yes to him and scheduled my surgery. I really liked the hospital he was at and I got all emotional when Sky Ridge sent me a get well postcard with everyones signature. I'm a big baby... anyway the hospital was efficient, quick and staff was excellent! My surgery recovery, can I say surgery recovery was Great? Sure, it hurt but I expect when you cut into somebody's body and do stuff to a bone, it's going to hurt! But, Every Day I Got Better! I even took pictures so I could be distant from the healing process and remember exactly what it looked like instead of relying on my memory. He explained about the necessity of the labrum and told me that`s why I was in such pain all the time. He did surgery on it, told all about the recovery time, what I could and could not do, and after the follow up visit suggested a Platelet-Rich Plasma injection, which I believe helped expidite my healing. They got me in right away and were just awesome. The nurse there caught the small fracture I had (very hard to see on the x-ray) and stuck my hand in a brace till I could get in to see the doctor in a couple days (and let the swelling go down). When I went back they set me up with a brace and straps for my fingers to make sure I didn't break it any more while it was healing. Dr. Yi is fantastic and very friendly. Hopefully I never need to see them again, but if it comes up (knock on wood), I know where I'm going.

He had the most immediate opening which aligned with my timeline. Unfortunately he did have to inform me that I may need to look at hardware removal in the future, but I love a doctor who is transparent. His medical assistant Caley was also amazing. She checked my incisions and removed my stitches. While it was uncomfortable, it was still a great experience. They both have great bedside manners. Dr. Resig's timeline is different than the surgeon who did my surgery, as he will have me bear weight on my ankle sooner, but as daunting as it sounds, if I can get back on my feet sooner, I'll take it. My original timeline was non-weight bearing for the first 6 weeks, and this moves it up two weeks! I originally was going to go with a different doctor and office but their scheduler told me that they would want to see my X-rays, unfortunately I wouldn't be able to get it in time for that appointment so I looked elsewhere and I'm glad I did because I was stressing out about it. Fortunately, I was able to see Dr. Smith, a *trauma* specialist, rather than a sports medicine person. Dr, Smith was brisk and to the point, but friendly and warm as well. No beating around the bush, he knew exactly what the deal was, the risks of surgery, and how to read the scans from the ER. I was in the exam room with my partner and my best friend, and he treated both of them, as well as me, as valid and present partners in my health care. The office staff were warm, kind, and efficient, and I left after 50 minutes knowing exactly what the next 6 months should look like for my recovery. It's too bad he's only a trauma specialist, I'd go to Dr. Smith for everything if I could. But I'm glad he's a specialist. He saved me $X,000 in costs for surgery, plus down time, and reassured me I'd be back on my back as soon as *I* felt ready.
