I have been to other pt's before, some I would highly recommend and others that I truly would not. To me it is obvious Charlie belongs in the former category. Not only is he is super accommodating, but more importantly knowledgeable. Charlie is very thorough and knows exactly what he is doing (he has corrected some of my behaviors which hindered my progress dramatically, which no other pt's have noticed/given accurate advice on). He takes a totally hands on approach and does not rely on assistants at all (too many pt's rely on undertrained assistants so they can bill two or three patients at once; in numerous sessions with Charlie I have always been the only patient and he has never once cut a session short or rushed for time, as many pt's who overbook do). He is kind, makes sure you feel comfortable and is very easy to work with. I would highly recommend him to friends and family. My mother hates the whole idea of exercise in general but loves working with Charlie. Ultimately, he simply provides functional, inarguable results in your recovery, and not only that but is a nice person. I have not been asked to write this review but randomly saw a negative one that is the complete antithesis of mine and my family's experiences with Charlie, so I felt the need to say something.

This rating is based solely on the doctors and my new doctors evaluating their work (the receptionists, scheduler, nurses, and staff are all satisfactory). My first surgery was with Dr. Plaus & the second was with Dr. Golembeski. They are lackadaisical with their aftercare regimen (they provided incorrect paperwork for the procedure I had), disingenuous with their "your portion after insurance" estimate (their quote didn't take into account fees from surgery center, anesthesiologist, or other specialists) and follow-up (I made an office visit post surgery for complications and never heard back - now I need the same surgery 8 mos later). I get better customer service from the bbq joint next to my house than these "billable hours" professionals. Don't know what else to call them as they are not health care professionals.

He has an excellent bedside manner, which can't be said for a lot of surgeons. I also appreciate his staff, who worked with me on payment plans, appointment reschedulings, and my post-op visit. Everything throughout the process was excellent and as stress-free as a surgery could possibly be. I would highly recommend this practice.

During the surgical procedure she indicated that it was not a cyst and far too involved so she referred me to Dr. Popham. In January 2014, he attempted to remove the mass, claiming that he couldn't remove it all. When the biopsy came back from the lab, we met and he informed me that the results indicated that it was a very rare sarcoma (DFSP) and that if I wanted it removed completely, I would need to see a MOS surgeon. Since this may result in the loss of my left eye, left eyelid and or the removal of my sinuses he recommended having periodic MRI's to monitor the spread. From 2013 until 2017 I had biannual MRI's and fortunately the mass had not spread. I recently had cataract surgery and noticed a small lump directly below the DFSP surgical scar and was referred to an ENT specialist would ordered an MRI. I just received the results and there is no sign of metastasis. As it turns out, the Veterans Administration has confirmed that this sarcoma is directly related to exposure to Agent Orange during my tour of duty in Vietnam. I cannot find the words to express my satisfaction with Dr. Popham but will say I am over the moon with the results of his surgical expertise.
