THIS IS MY REVIEW BASED ON THE ADVICE I GOT FROM SARA/not a service (yet). I stopped in last month to see if I can get my navel re-pierced and other piercings changed. The place is clean (yes! a good sign). Sara gave me advice, which I appreciate, to not re- pierce my navel (fear of making a large hole) and to use a smaller curved bell. she also gave me advice on other piercings and inserted my friends lip piercing for her. I am grateful on her advice because most shops would just do whatever and sell you the expensive jewelry and move on. She clearly cares about her reputation and I will visit in again in 2 months as recommended (and to purchase more neilmeds saline solution- the fine mist! they have it!). Okay so I just spent a good half hour writing my bad experience that I had here but it was too long for Yelp to let me post. So I will give the short version. Colorfast is a great studio, very clean and pleasant. All the work I've had done there and all the work I've seen get done there is wonderful. I drive there from Miami. It's a terrible drive but it's usually worth it. I would give Colorfast 5 stars FOR SURE all day everyday..... until my last visit when I had to deal with the rudest most ungrateful piercer I've ever met. I believe her name is sarah but not sure. I was there not too long ago and had a really wonderful experience with Sabrina and I left so happy. So happy that my boyfriend and I went back. I was having trouble getting my nose ring out and my boyfriend wanted his ears pierced. He picked out $120 pair of earring so in my opinion this girl(Sarah) should have been nice because the more a customer spends on jewelry, the more they will spend on tip. Which I always do. Sarah was so rude, she made me feel extremely stupid(whether I am or not... I'm not the professional, she is. And I went there because I wanted a professionals help) My long story shortened: Sabrina is a work of art, and Sarah is a piece of work... Story conclusion: My boyfriend got his ears pierced for $30 at the Piercing Pagoda (usually would never do this but whatever it was better than dealing with Sarah) and I was in my bathroom for a half hour using cuticle clippers to hold one end of the jewelry and yanking the other with my big fat fingers. But I eventually got it!!!! And my piercing looks so good thanks to Sabrina. I believe that colorfast is a great shop and I want to give them 5 stars but the last visit I had was so poor I'd rate them one star. But an entire good brand shouldn't have to suffer from one single bad employee.... So four stars will have to do. Thank you Colorfast for ALMOST always being there for me. If I ever return I will make sure to call before I head that way and ensure Sabrina is in. read more

By no means am I doubting the quality of the tattoo I received, however, I have a huge issue with price. I have 5 pairs of initials (10 total letters) down my forearm. Keep in mind they are not custom letters they were selected from Microsoft. The hourly rate on the board in the front clearly states $150. The tattoo was completed in less than an hour and I was charged $200 for the piece. I even got the tattoo appraised at multiple shops and the highest rate I was given was $130. Tonight, I got another tattoo on my other arm at another shop that is significantly larger and includes color detail with letters as well and I was only charged $150. The price was beyond ridiculous and I will never return because of that. read more

One of the most professional tattoo/piercing place hands down. I didn't make an appointment and I walked in and they set me up within 5 min. My piercer went over with me about the nose piercing and what jewelry would be best and the different prices. After she sat me down and washed her hands and then disinfected my nose and marked the dot for me to see. She then pushed through the needle w no pain, and told me how to clean it and to call if I had any questions. I've had incidents where I took out my nose piercing or it got stuck on clothes and it came out and I can always relay on the workers at colorfast to put it back it w no cost. I used to come to Colorfast back when David Carbonell used to tattoo here (he's amazing, btdubs!). I haven't been back since, but recently found myself in need of a piercer and Colorfast came to mind. I called on a Monday afternoon and asked if they had a piercer in for the day. I was told there was one there until 10pm. I had a quick question since I wasn't looking to get a new piercing, but rather re-open an old one. I had the jewelry it was originally pierced with, and was told I was welcome to come in with that. When I arrived, I was greeted by Kristopher (AKA Kri) who was extremely friendly and helpful! Turns out he knows my original piercer, Leo, in Orlando. He was easy to talk to and made me feel very comfortable. My friend wanted to get a tattoo a little bigger than a quarter... the people at the front said it would cost $80-100.. this tattoo has no detail it's just small line work. When I questioned the price they said to me "ok fine go get a jacked up tattoo somewhere else" mind you, their shop tattoo minimum price is $60 which is what we were expecting to pay. I got my septum pierced by Tiffany a few weeks ago, and she was so nice and helpful! She answered every question I had and even took my nose ring into consideration when choosing the size of the jewelry she used! The piercing was quick & painless. Tiffany also took out my belly button piercing for me because it had been pierced incorrectly (by someone else at another shop) and was migrating badly. This review is for their awesome piercers!! Tiffany and Sara are both super sweet and very informative. I've been to quite a few piercing spots in south Florida, and this is one of the only ones where the piercers actually adhere to the standards set by the APP, which makes me really feel comfortable getting things done here. They have an autoclave and you can even get proof that your jewelry and everything was totally and completely sterilized. Ever since finding out about this place, I've never gone anywhere else for a piercing. I went in to get 2 tattoos (one on my right side and the other on my wrist). The guy who did them was Jason Owens, he sat down with me before getting started and really helped hone in how I wanted the tree I was getting to look. That extra time he spent to make sure really made the end results AMAZING! A thing I thought was good is that he never made me feel rushed or bad about wanting little details changed. He was nice and very funny the whole time I was there! During the tattoo he had a soft hand so it didn't hurt near as much as it could have going across my ribs. I could tell just by the pictures that i saw that he was the man for the job. After actually meeting him and talking about my design I was super comfortable that he would do an amazing tattoo. Not only is he an awesome tattoo artist he is actually also super humble which is not a combination you see a lot of anywhere! In response to the Business Owner's response to my updated review: I feel the need to point out the fact that you are lying. Not only was I there long enough to see that neither the client nor her boyfriend were drunk, I was also there long enough to see him leave and he was not arrested. Your shop is only filled with irresponsible, irrational and unprofessional employees, because the fight began when the tattoo artist made an unprofessional remark of the client, to which the client's boyfriend responded verbally as any man would if their girlfriend is being disrespected. The artist was the one who got up and threatened to take it outside and actually engage in a physical fight. Regardless of how things went down, your employees should know better than to engage in physical assault or any assault for that matter. I do wish you luck because you will need it judging on how you allow your employees to act towards your clients that keep you in business, and the fact that you're clearly lying about an incident that at least 4 other clients witnessed other than the one that was involved in the assault. read more

I'm not asking for you to give me anything for free I paid $40 for this ring I asked if it could be switched out to remedy a problem that was caused from wearing your jewelry. I live in Miami Beach and was looking for a good place to get piercing jewelry (I'm stretching my ear lobes a bit). This place was recommended to me by a friend in FTL. South Beach is shady and expensive, so I went to this place in Coral Springs. If you live south of Hollywood, this place is SO FAR! Haha! But worth it. Tiffany was so cool, so professional, and just plain nice! She listened to me, and gave me EXACTLY what I asked for! And the price was excellent! Some of the guys there aren't the most personable (I waited for 20 minutes before they even looked at me. I could have robbed the place and I don't think they would have noticed! Haha!).
