We placed our daughter in AHCC at 2.5 years old and she grew exponentially in the 2 years she was with this center. In my opinion, the biggest accomplishment they help us achieve was stable potty training at such a young age. We were working on potty training and they were paramount in getting her to recognize need to go the bathroom and succeed in the task. Another aspect of AHCC that my wife and I loved was how awesome the entire staff is and how constructive they were to our daughter's growth. They were kind, caring, and respectful. They excelled in helping build personal and social relationships with my daughter and her friends. They instill in the littles everything that it means to be a good person and they give them the skills to be able to move on to the next step. They have fun water days when it's hot and also got to go on small trips such as touring the fire station next door. We wish we could have kept our daughter another year but she was approved for a dual immersion TK class in the local school district and unfortunately had to leave. We could not pass up that opportunity. Our daughter would not be ready for public school without AHCC and for that we are eternally grateful. The pricing is reasonable and the results are tremendous. We plan to continue to have a good relationship with AHCC as they have become somewhat family and plan to support them whenever we can. I can't speak highly enough of Azure Hills Children's Center and if you have any questions or concerns, they will glad-fully help in any way. The teachers here were very understanding about that fact and did everything they could to help him advance his development. It's been two years and our son is doing so much better! There's been so much improvement! He talks now, although not fluently but it's so much better than how he started off. Unfortunately, once you scratch beneath the surface, it feels more like a franchise business than a premium early-childhood education program. We were told there was no screen time, but the children were shown YouTube videos, including Danny Go "movement" videos and videos of other people reading books that the school apparently did not have. When I arrived, the video was playing while the teacher stood watching the children. Administration nevertheless insisted this was not screen time. This practice is inconsistent with American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations for toddlers, which emphasize carefully selected, high-quality media accompanied by active adult participation. The director holds an associate degree in early childhood education from Los Angeles Trade-Technical College, and the teachers appear to meet the minimum education required by state licensing. At this price point, however, I expected substantially greater expertise in early childhood development. UC Riverside's Early Childhood Education Center is comparably priced and publicly reports a staff with 20 bachelor's degrees, two master's degrees, and California Child Development Permits. The director at UCR has a PH.d, not just an associates from LA Trade Tech. I was also disappointed by the unhealthy snacks--graham crackers, animal crackers, cheese, and applesauce, with no vegetables unless parents supplied them. Parents were even allowed to bring fast food into the classroom. The daily reports were unreliable: they claimed my child ate most of his food when his lunchbox came home untouched, and they listed learning objectives without explaining how those objectives were actually taught. Do not be distracted by the shiny new building. Ask detailed questions about staff education, screen use, snacks, and how the corporate curriculum is actually implemented in the classroom.

Smaller sized classrooms and our kiddos come home excited and ready to share. Their soccer and jungle bus programs are great asset as well. The school overall is amazing and centered on education in the school aspect but also emotional learning and potty training! Staff is amazing and you can see and feel they truly care. 10/10 recommend. Wish they went into grade school I would keep both kiddos there as long a possible.
