The vibes here were inviting and comfortable. Our server, Paisley, was excellent. Her timing and attentiveness were top notch. All of our courses came out at the perfect time and I was never left with an empty beer. The steaks were cooked well and had that perfect grill char. We arrived at Colton's around 4:00 pm on a Friday and they were busy. They set us back by the servers entrance to the kitchen. Our server Melinda greeted us and brought us waters. I had the free coupon for the appetizer and asked her for a recommendation. She suggested their bloomin onion (not what theirs is called ). We also asked her for recommendations for dinner and she recommended the Colton's loaded chicken and the fish and chips. We both got the chicken fried steak, one with white gravy and mushroom gravy on the other and okra as our sides. After we ordered she brought us rolls, hot and delicious. The onion came out was fried to perfection but we really didn't care for the dipping sauce. The chicken fried steak were good, mine had no gristle but the other one did. Okra was lightly fried and battered. I got ranch to dip the okra in and it was homemade and great. The inside of the restaurant is very well put together and decorated in a cowboy fashion. We always have a good meal and experience here. The food is well prepared and the service is good. The place is clean and neat. We like the ribeye steaks, but the other menu items are good as well. The Country Steak and the Chopped Steak are both delicious and have good prices. This is one of the good Enid restaurants in our rotation. read more

I think Colton's biggest Achilles heel is their kitchen/ cooking staff. This is yet again another disappointing experience where the steak was poor quality (thin) and very poorly cooked. It appeared to have been barely seared on either side. Unfortunately, I was trusting and after picking up my to go order, did not cut into the steak and check. Probably will not return. I don't visit Enid, Oklahoma very often but both times I've come, I've eaten at Colton's Steak House because it's one of the best restaurants that Enid has to offer. They have an extensive menu that offers a wide selection of appetizers, entrees and salads but my absolute favorite item that's not on the menu is the free rolls that they bring to your table when they bring out your meal served with soft butter and honey! The rolls just melt in your mouth, they're so good! We started off with some type of warm dip with pita chips which was excellent. My entree consisted of grilled salmon which was delicious and moist with a side serving of steamed veggies! The service was excellent as well. Although very busy, our server checked on us multiple times throughout our meal and provided excellent service. We'll definitely be back next time we're in town! read more

Food is wildly under seasoned. I order a Medium Rare Steak and the bottom of the piece of meat wasn't even grilled! Like they cooked one side and slapped it on the plate. Service is ass. This was our first time to try Colton's and were kinda disappointed. Everything was fantastic... except the steak. The rolls were the best part and all the sides were very good. 4 out of 4 steaks were over cooked, on the dry side, and not much flavor. We all ordered medium or medium rare. My husband's was supposed to be medium and looked well done; plus there was a huge toothpick left in. They brought out a second one and it was even worse than the first. Over all this place is very nice the bathrooms are clean everything is nice, this was me and my dad's first time coming I got the chicken tenders and French fries and they were pretty good but the chicken tenders were a little too salty we also go the onion thingy and they were probably the best thing ever. Ate here a couple of weeks ago with the family. Half the restaurant was empty but we still waited about ten minutes to be seated. Probably should have taken that as a sign. The waitress had no clue what she was doing. We ordered our drinks and I ordered a fountain drink from the menu. She said she didn't think that was on their menu. I showed her it was. All the fountain drinks we ordered were not good at all. We had to ask three times about the rolls that everyone around kept getting brought to their tables. Finally we got some and were told that they were the last ones for the night. They were out. It was probably 7 pm at the latest. The food took forever to get done. When it came it was all messed up. None of my family including me ate all our food. Nothing was very good. We paid and left. The manager never even came and asked how our food was. He was more worried about talking to his buddies. Our first visit to this restaurant. It was myself, my husband and my daughter. We arrived and there were approximately 4 other groups of people waiting. We had an approximately 20 min wait. We notice none of the employees wore masks but they were observing social distancing for seating. We had fried pickles as an appetizer. There were very tasty and had a little kick. We arrived and the first thing we noticed was no masks on the employees. This really put me off since we have lost a family member to this disease. The waitress was friendly, but freaking me out whenever she would get near our personal space. No 6 ft. social distancing with the wait staff. If we hadn't been in the middle of covid with the number of cases exploding none of the above would matter, but it is. I put personal safety pretty high on my list, so this was a matter of concern. The only steakhouse open Sunday close to Hennessy ok. Tje steakhouse is located in enid ok but about 20 minutes north. The restaurant was crowded but we were seated right away. Colton's is one of my favorite places to eat in Enid....however, for the first time, I'm DEEPLY disappointed in the food I received tonight. My parents went inside to eat dinner, but I stayed home with my toddler, so they ordered our meal to go. Every time we've eaten inside the restaurant, or have ordered food to take home, we've had decent service and good food. I'm not sure what has changed in the kitchen, but the food tonight was terrible for several reasons. The waitress who took the order seemed to get everything correct, and my parents made sure she had it right, so I'm assuming the failures are due to the kitchen staff. I ordered the blackened salmon and steamed veggies, with an additional side, a house salad with ranch...it is our favorite meal at Colton's (we eat it often). I ordered extra of the spicy raspberry sauce that goes with the salmon, and that part of my order was correct, so were the steamed veggies, though they were a bit mushy and tough tonight. When my folks brought us the dinner, I opened it up and instantly knew it was wrong...it was clearly a grilled salmon steak instead of blackened. On top of that, the fish was VERY tough, with at least 1/3 of the steak being inedible all around, from being grilled for FAR too long. Next, my toddler found TWO LARGE BONES inside her fish...luckily she did not CHOKE on them! We have NEVER had to worry about finding bones in our food, as we have never found any in our food before, and we've eaten this same meal hundreds of times. Lastly, instead of the side salad I ordered, I received a large, entree-sized portion. Needless to say, if this is the new standard coming out of Colton's kitchen, we will have to stop eating there. We visit 1-2 times a week, so I'll be sad to give up one of the last decent places to eat around here, but I'm tired of paying so much money for sub-par food and/or service. I'll start off by saying the atmosphere and the restaurant itself is really nice. The service is kind of hit or miss. My boyfriend and I decided to try out the new steakhouse in town and both opted for the T-Bone steak, one with the smashed baked potato and steamed veggies and the other with fried okra and sautéed mushrooms. When the steaks came out they looked amazing, had those signature grill marks and we were both eager to dig in. We got them done medium rare and rare and both were cooked to standard. Our problem with the whole dinner as a whole was that it seemed to have very little seasoning, if any at all. Good steak doesn't need a whole lot of seasoning but this steak didn't have any. It was relatively disappointing as a whole. The few good things we had would have been the fried pickles and the drinks we had ordered, Cowgirl Roadie and the Kicker Tea. In general, we were fairly disappointed. But will more than likely give it another chance in the future and leave the steak ordering for elsewhere. read more

Our first time here and not a good first impression. We walked in and there were 5 gals behind the counter but no one wanted to take our name for the obvious waiting list. I finally said "I'd like to put my babe on the waiting list - there are 4 of us" and she almost discouraged me with her tone "well, it will be at least 35 minutes". The wait was as expected and we were sat at our table. Our waiter was a sweet kid but could not answer any of our menu questions and did not seek anyone's help. My husband and I had lemon drop martinis and it was as if the were made with artificial lemon flavored something - they were almost neon. They tasted OK (thus 1 star) but they were room temperature (again just 1 star for the martini). We also ordered mozzarella sticks and they were pretty good! They and the dinner rolls get the other star. On the dinner rolls...they came after our salads and when our meal was halfway done. No one cleared our appetizer or salad plates. My son literally had to pile them up and move them to make room for our dinner plates. My husband and I had the baked potatoes which were Luke warm and not done. My butter didn't even melt. And our steaks had no flavor at all. Not even salt or pepper. We gave it a try but everything lacked effort. read more

I ordered my steak medium rare. When it came out it was complete brown half way through. I politely asked the waitress to come over to the table. As soon as see saw the steak she stated that's over cooked. I agreed and she took my steak back. She came back out and said the cooks had argued with her that it was medium rare but she told them to fix it. I thanked her and waited for my food. The manger comes out with a smile and my steak not long after. I cut into it and it is way uncooked. In sarcastic tone asked if that was cooked okay or if wanted it sent back again and laughed. I kept that steak knowing that if I sent it back again something would be wrong with it. It was obvious this was a joke to the cooks and manger. One of the others at my table, asked if he was the manager. He said yes. When asked if they really expected me to eat it, he said well yes. The manger was extremely unprofessional! We have attempted to enjoy two meals from Colton's on their opening week. Granted, these issues I'll address could be new business problems, but this isn't a new business. Yes, it's a new location but as far as the franchise goes management should have a better roll out plan. Our first order was done over the phone for a take out because we didn't want to be in the overly crowded dinning area. We placed the order with no issues, found a curbside pickup spot with no problem, paid and left with no problem. We got home and excitedly opened up our meal to realize we had gotten the wrong order...way wrong. The ticket for our meal stated it was for Sarah in a black Nissan, we drive a silver Toyota. Yes I should have verified before we rolled away, but I'm fat and was excited for dinner. When we got back to the curbside we told the nice attendant what the situation was and she went back inside. Literally 15 minutes later she came back out to tell us sorry and they were working on the food now...again. 30ish minutes later we received our correct order. When we got the right order and back home the food was delicious and we enjoyed every bite of our Del Rio steak and Loaded chicken. Tonight we said we don't want to cook, let's give them another shot. When I called the nice lady on the other end must have been the only one working the phone, bless her heart. I got told to hang on 4 times so she could answer the other line and answer questions. Again this is not her fault, she doesn't have enough help and wasn't trained properly on how to handle multiple calls. Even just a hold button so I couldn't hear her answer the other phone would have been better. Regardless, she was very nice and apologetic for the situation. I place the order and go to pick it up. This time I verified the tag that it was my name and my order, but oops, should have checked the food to make sure it matched. I got home and we didn't have our appetizer, then my food was cold, but my wife's was warm and enjoyable. The grilled chicken sandwich also wasn't my favorite. The flavor profile isn't really there. It's a salt and pepper chicken breast with bacon and a massive amount of cheese and a lot of bread from the bun. I'm really hoping that this place gets the growing/newbie pains taken care of. Enid needs a place like this, just needs to work out some things. The employees are very nice and respectful, my complaint is logistics and food flavor from curbside. read more
