I give this 5 stars but it's kind of a soft five stars. I would say it's one of the top two Chinese restaurants in Enid. The food is relatively cheap and you get a lot for what you're paying for which is awesome. There's a lot of different variety and good appetizers and the food is definitely very decent. By far the best Chinese restaurant in Enid, OK. They have a large menu and decent prices and the portion size is very generous! Jiang Yuan is definitely best for take-out, and it will serve you well to order ahead. The wait times can be 15-30+ minutes depending on the size of the order and how busy they are. As other's have said, there are only 3-4 small tables inside the small space that is primarily reserved for people waiting on orders. These guys make every order fresh to go. You won't see them working on multiple orders at once, letting food sit between making other dishes. You get it all at once, fresh off the pan before they begin the next ticket. Not sure why others have said it's "bland" because I've always found their dishes packed with flavor. This is our favorite Chinese spot when looking for a great dinner that's not a buffet. 10/10 read more

It was late on a Sunday night and we were just getting around to dinner. Most places were closed or in the process of closing. We decided to try Jiang Yuan and were pleasantly surprised! We didn't realize that most of the business Jiang Yuan does is carry out, yet the small dining area was comfortable. We placed our order and relaxed with our sodas. The meal was made fresh and was delivered to the table piping hot (I had to wait a bit for it to cool down enough to eat). The flavor was spot on and just what we wanted, the serving size insured you would not leave hungry (and that you would have a to go box as well). I don't believe they offer delivery just yet, but it usually takes 20-30 min for orders to be filled. (Longer if ordering for a large group or if they're super busy). Other Chinese restaurants in town focus on their buffets, but here the food is prepared after you order. By the way, the people complaining about the "service" don't seem to realize that it's not a sit down restaurant. Remember the context of this review. This isn't some backwoods Oklahoma suggestion that a standard Chinese takeout restaurant is the pinnacle of dining, but rather the point that Jiang Yuan takes the cookie-cutter Chinese takeout menu and makes it work for Enid. Want enough food for two people for about $10? They've got you covered. An order of General Tso's Chicken plus steamed rice runs about eight bucks and a large container of wonton soup is only a couple more. The location is reasonably convenient in a shopping strip with ample parking. Everyone is friendly. The few tables inside the restaurant for either those who really just want to sit down and eat or the more common case of waiting on a takeout order are quite nice along with the rest of the decor. The spicy dishes have enough peppers to add ambient heat for those who want less and full pepper heat if you prefer a bit spicier. Anybody who has had takeout in Oklahoma will recognize the menu as being almost the same as any other Chinese takeout, probably supplied by the exact same companies. It's funny how a bit of effort in decoration, having a local friendly outlook, offering better prices, and finding a good location can be that difference which makes it all worthwhile. So, yeah. The food isn't much different from most other Chinese takeout, but they do it exactly how it should be done. That counts for a lot, so under the context of rating it compared to other Chinese takeout in Oklahoma, Jiang Yuan gets it just right. It's nothing compared to Wahaha down in Edmond or what the old Lung Wah was like, but again, standard easy takeout. Also, props to them for naming the restaurant after a prominent historical figure rather than some generic reference to China or pandas. read more

When this place first opened it was the best in Enid at the time. Won't go there anymore. You pay eight dollars around about for a combo plate. Barely a tablespoon of meat in its.
