The only reason it's gets two stars is the views. The greens are in terrible shape, tee boxes in terrible shape and cart paths are rough - both rock and concrete. I know they are building a new club house and intend to make improvements - in the mean time not worth the cost. read more

I've played this course a few times now. I read reviews with people complaining about the unfriendly staff and gravel parking lot. I didn't find either to be a problem. And I couldn't care less anyway. I'm there to golf and I find this course is fun and challenging. The greens are great and I found whole thing very well maintained. Some really well laid out holes here. The views are great too. So don't listen to the crybabies. Try this course. Just go and golf. You won't be disappointed. read more

Took almost 3 hours to play 9 holes, no marshalls, the fairways were in absolutely atrocious shape, the tee boxes were beat to crap, and they allow t shirts and jeans. $45 is a complete joke for how crappy that course is. I will never play it again, and advise everyone to never play that awful course. read more

Don't waist your time or money. Greens are garbage, parking lot is gravel leaving you car completely covered in dust, "clubhouse " is a cart barn. Say they have food, better bring your own! Does have some nice views, but you can get views free. read more

My friends and I are 16 and we wanted to golf at this course with a cart. The dude working the register told us we had to be 18, which makes no sense at all. this is the second time this has happened. they need to change the age to 16. it makes no sense at all. read more

This golf course is a hidden gem. They spend no money on a clubhouse or putting green. Its all spent on the course and it shows. I play allot of golf and I'm a five handicap. Love this course and i'm coming back. Better than Annbriar, Gateway, Stonewolf and many more. Play this course you won't regret it. read more

We have not played this course in years, but we remembered that it was a nice course, but gruff, unfriendly staff. We figured that staff would be gone. They were, but their replacement is just as rude. We never got on the course. We pulled into a concrete drive and were promptly met with someone saying that the driveway was not structurally sound for cars. How would we know-there were NO SIGNS AT ALL about this and we even double checked after we high-tailed it out of there in fear of it's collapse and embarrassment that the employee acted like we should have known. How would we have known? There were plenty of other parking direction signs but not about the driveway. His attitude towards us will keep us away for another few years. read more

The term Goat Track comes to mind. Do not waste your time or money going here to play. The staff is very rude but the course is a real disaster....the rough is horrible with bald sot and dandelions everywhere what a waste of $38. We played a tournament there on Saturday morning 4/28 and the only good thing I can say is the greens were in good shape. The club house is what most courses call a cart shed or barn....no range or putting green. read more

The greens are really nice, but the fairways and rough need help. Plus the clubhouse is really just a barn. It's not a place you come to early or stick around. There is no range. The layout is fine, and there are a few cool views. But I'd rather play at Gateway if I'm on this side of the river. read more

Went with 3 friends on the 4th. Will admit we are not tour worthy golfers but still played a decent pace. On the 9th tee box, the marshal told to us to speed it up, we were behind 1 hole after waiting for a group ahead of us. After our second shot, he came over and told us to go to the clubhouse, we were finished, get a rain check. Didn't realize that only highly experienced golfers were allowed to play a public course. Have never been asked to leave a course before for any reason. We weren't given the option to let the group behind us play through or to move up a hole. Wanted a refund for the remaining 9 holes and they refused would only give a rain check. One in our group had not played in quite some time and was trying to get him back into golf. Nice way to treat customers. Treated very rudely and will not recommend this course to anybody. read more

I am a fan of this course. I normally play there a couple times per month. I showed up Friday 3/25, I had booked a tee time through their website for $27 with cart. I go inside and the kid behind the counter tells me it will be $33 because that was the "Holiday Rate", I tell him the rate on the site that I booked was $27 then I showed him their website and he just says "there is nothing I can do, $33 is the Holiday rate". I paid the money the extra money and went about my round but neither my playing partner or I were very happy about being fleeced for an extra $6. When I reached the turn I almost went back into the clubhouse to make sure that my $33 included playing the back 9 because obviously you cannot go by what you see on the website. read more

I have played this a number of times over the years and just recently. Those looking for a good test of golf at a very reasonable price just minutes from South St. Louis County, should try it. It has some of the best scenery from the elevated holes that you will find in the entire area. There are a couple of quirky holes, but all in all, very good layout and very challenging course. On the negative side, no driving/practice range, the bunkers were in very bad shape, some of the cart paths were not yet paved. You are going to want to do your 19th hole somewhere else as the "clubhouse" is just a new frills industrial type building with metal roof & concrete floor. The greens were in very good shape, very large with lots of undulation and the fairways were mostly grown in with Bermuda (I think). If this course had amenities such as nice club house, driving range and a higher maintenance budget, it would be among the elite in the area. read more
