Alot of the other parks around are close to highways so you do not get the level of peace and quiet that comes with provinces park. They have 2 playgrounds. A basketball court, tennis court, some baseball fields, and soccer fields.

When I lived on Disney a road I walked the trail three to four times a week. The old man who donated the land would stand outside his home at wave as I walked to the park. I live a little further away now, and the old man has since been called home to glory. But the best part is that the park is on the other side of Dorsey road from the airport, and planes fly directly overhead as they are about to land or after they have taken off; it differs from time to time. Because they are so close to the runway, the planes are very low, so the kids get really excited. Our daughter loves to watch the planes. My only complant is that there is no swings in the playground, but you can go east on Dorsey 1.5 miles to Sawmill Creek Park where they have swings.

This was the first of the five-concert summer series, with free concerts taking place on Thursday evenings through August 5. If you're looking for a laid-back night with great live music, this is definitely worth checking out. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, relax, and enjoy a wonderful evening outdoors!

But get out of the car, walk over the ridge, and behold! Picnic tables, a few in-ground charcoal grills, a tennis court, and park benches strategically placed along the path. The picnic tables are shaded nicely by the trees, but if you need to move one around a bit for some reason, you can because they are not chained down. There are also trash cans so you don't have to carry it out. A coworker told me the path goes around the border of the park but I haven't walked it yet. Soon though. There is also a small stage there and apparently they have live musical performances some times on the weekends. I'll be watching for those as well. Great place to take lunch to and eat outside away from the office!

The second is on shade and seating, because I don't plan to stand the whole trip. Third is quality of the equipment, and the forth thing is the actual condition of the park. Well the park itself is pretty big with plenty of open space for pretty much anything you could dream of doing. The playground area though it wasn't the biggest, it wasn't crowded and the equipment was in good shape. There is a huge water tower behind the park that provided a good deal of shade at the time I was at this park, which had 2 benches near the playground,and yes my daughter had a great time. When i went they were actually having a music in the park event. However i'm not much for country music, and it didn't really look like there was anyone there that may have been interested in some good old J.Cole, K Dot, or Yeezus. I wasn't trying Wang Chung that night... So i left that part to the natives. Overall this is a very nice park, and i'll definitely be coming back.

It was a nice outdoor break for us, the park was connected with sports and fitness equipment that works well for 14+ and above even my lil one enjoys the elliptical equipment so much. There are also a couple of volleyball courts near a very large covered pavilion that would fit the family bbq or the the office crab feast. There is also a decently sized playground for the kids, although it isn't nearly as good as the playgrounds offered at Centennial and Meadow Brook. I can imagine parking could be a pain as the fields fill up but there is street parking available.

My boyfriend and I enjoy heading to Gorc Park when we want to take our workouts outside. There's…read moreton of multi-purpose fields and open space to do whatever you want if there isn't a game going on. We've run sprints and suicides, jogs around the field and other general HIIT workouts. There's an extra added challenge because part of Gorc sits on a hill. There's a playgrounds nearby if you wanted to use the monkey bars for calinsthetics. Docking a star because, as someone without kids, it seems like there are games or practices going on there practically all the time, so we haven't really gotten to enjoy it as often as we'd like. Parking is plenty, with overflow into the street. Get outdoors during this time if you (safely) can!
