Columbia Place off Two Notch Rd is a damn shame. The interior is set up perfectly for a mall, two-levels throughout smaller to bigger cities like Atlanta but enough for Cola. Macy's is the only operating department store which seems to be doing quite well. Auntie Anne's is the only other store I see any value in even visiting this mall. There are shoe, urban wear, phone kiosks, hair wig sellers, part of the downstairs is rented out to a church. With at least one major dept store still operating doing better than Dutch Square mall. read more

Its really sad to see this place not being utilized to full capacity. Most of the stores are closed or they dont have what your looking for. Macys is the only reason I come to this side of town. The last time I visited, the store seemed bare, or it could have been just timing. Either way they didn't have a formal dress that I liked. Now I have to drive to Augusta or Charlotte for a nicer Macys. Welp anytime is a great time to go and visit, parking lot had jus a few cars when I went last month, the stores are empty most of the time. Good luck you may find some sales. Seats and Victoria Secrets used to be in this mall also. Hopefully oneday this wasted space is used for the community. read more

Coming from Miami, ive been able to experience a lot of different types of malls/shopping centers. This is definitely the type of mall you dont go shopping in, you come for what you need. Chick-fil-A had no line (which if you visit chick-fil-a, you know there is always a line, emphasis on always) but there is a "DOF" Attraction in the dining hall that is badly placed. Whenever there is someone on it, they start to scream and yell which makes stopping for food undesirable. The most thriving mall I have EVER been to! It was so packed that there were lines to get in every single building was packed full of goods and every item was nearly sold out. The parking to get in was a NIGHTMARE! [Uh, sarcasm.] Columbia Place Mall is nothing remarkable but I've visited worse malls. It's in a low economic part of town and has many empty buildings. It needs to be revived. I'lll say this much: The Fine Art of Baseball is definitely worth popping into. Loads of imported anime goods and comic books. Apart from a Journeys and the collectibles store I mentioned, there's nothing else remarkable about this ghost town. read more

Rating: 2.5/5. The anchors of the clean and bright mall are: Macy's, Victoria's Secret and Sears. There is a small food court, free playground for children, large free parking for the shopping center, etc. The security guards on-site made the place feels safe. read more

Someone else mentioned that this mall is depressing, and it is. I parked at the main entrance on a Friday around noon, and I was only the second car parked there. That should have told me something. I walked in the main entrance and was met with a mall with no stores. I had to walk quite a ways before I saw the first open store. There is a Sears, Burlington, and Macy's, and there are a number of other smaller stores, but this mall was so quiet and so empty that I'm positive it will be closed within 2 years. If it isn't there is something going on here that I don't understand. The food court was also pretty devoid of selections. Honestly, I can say that I would never visit this mall again. You might be able to pay me to go, but it would have to be a substantial amount. read more

Walking around in Columbia Place Mall is a post apocalyptic experience. You and the 17 other people that survived are just roaming around while weird music plays in the background. I guess there are worse places to be stuck after an apocalypse... the mall does have the only Macy's in town and an Auntie Ann's Pretzels. There's not too much to say because there's not much here. I needed shoes and it's the closest mall so I decided to pop by. There were 5-7 police cars in the parking lot circled around one other car. I almost left but I was on a mission for these shoes. Seriously... there were zero customers in Sears. There were also zero cute shoes so I bounced. I wandered down the hall towards Macy's and passed closed storefront after closed storefront. It's kinda sad. I remember when that mall was cool. Made it to Macy's where again... very few customers but the staff were kind and helpful. They also had cute shoes and a bracelet that called to me. It was lonely and dreamed of a life outside this boring mall. What can I say? I have a soft spot for lonely bracelets. I wandered back through the mall because I will ALWAYS park on the wrong end/side of a mall. Always. I sang along with Macy Gray and already began regretting the bracelet. It's a love/hate relationship. I stopped by Auntie Ann's. Clearly I'd burned off enough calories for a cinnamon raisin snack. Did you know it takes 6 minutes for a pretzel to bake? Well I do because I had to wait for one. They pretty much make everything to order (yay hot and delicious, boo wait 10 minutes for the person to have a conversation with her friend over the counter and twist your pretzel, bake it and put it in the bag) because they have so few customers. Sigh. So the mall is clean and you don't have to fight crowds or wait for someone to go find the right size shoe for you (the staff jump at the opportunity to do their job) but Columbia Place Mall is not where the cool kids go to hang out. This mall feels a bit neglected. The floor and stairs are dirty. Dust bunnies were everywhere. I visited early on A Sunday. It was strange to see a mall so empty. The customer service was great. I would try this mall again someday but only if I had no other options. read more

It's really easy to go in and get what you need. Not too crowded but enough options to pick from. Me and boyfriend bought outfits from here.

This mall once had every store you could imagine with the parking lots full of people. It was the place to hang out many moons ago, but the mall has been on the decline for at the last ten years. Who knows what will become of this place. read more

We are new to the area and have driven by this mall a couple of times thinking that it was closed/shut down/abandoned/discontinued....I am not sure why and how this mall is still open for business. I came there to try out the Crab Shak and was quite surprised when I walked in. There are actually stores inside that are open for business. It was extremely depressing and I will not be doing any retail therapy there. read more

I went to Columbia on business, wanted to do a bit of shopping to kill time. Google Maps led me here. For a Saturday afternoon, this mall was not alive at all. Most other malls I have been to are always packed, even during the weekday, but this is just sad. Saw some interesting store names on the directory, but a lot of the smaller shops sold junk. Dollars stores sell better quality stuff compared to a lot of these stores! Half of very few people in the store acted like they were looking for trouble. There was little security, and the store has a lot of isolated areas. Only good points: it had Macy's, which I haven't seen in a long time; the prices are cheaper than comparable stores in other malls; and nobody mugged me in the parking lot. read more

Sorry but this was the worst mall I've ever been too. They had no one there it was a ghost town. It should be closed down.

This is one of the most depressing looking indoor malls I have ever seen. A great deal of the shops where closed and/or out of business. It seems very limited in what they sell. Definitely not coming back. The only reason I gave it two stars was because it was very clean (probably because no one goes here). read more

This is supposed to be the largest mall in the midlands but it appears to have become dilapidated over time (that may be associated to it's location on Two Notch). It could be worse but I haven't been here in nearly a year and haven't had a reason to with alternative shopping options all over the city. read more

I'm not sure what happened to this place or if it was always sketchy but shopping here does make you feel like a zombie apocalypse survivor. There's hardly anybody there and many of their stores are closed. They need a serious remodel and revitalization if they want to survive. Don't waste your time unless you're looking for Macy's. read more

When this first opened in the 1970's it was thriving. Lots of shops, everything was new. Many decades later both the mall and the surrounding area have run downhill. Burlington Coat Factory is moving down the road to Sandhills, and the Sears closed last year, leaving only Macy's as a large client. If you are visiting Columbia, don't bother with this or another very old mall, Dutch Square. The one enclosed mall that is doing great is the newest, Columbiana, in the Harbison area. Or visit the lifestyle center (Village at Sandhills). read more

Avoid this mall. At one time, the largest nicest mall in the area, now a good 50% of the stores have closed. Stores that are left are low end mom and pop stores. Crime around this mall has increased dramatically. read more

This mall is fine; the interior is attractive as it must have been renovated just a few years ago, and it has a decent number of regular mall stores (minus 2 anchors). Don't let the scary surroundings turn you off. read more
