My wife and I went back to Columbine Trees looking to find something special for our first home. We were met with a friendly staff and an Amazing Manager, Lyman. Lyman went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, from the perfect tree, to the rightsized stand and the best looking wreath for our front door. This was our 3rd time at Columbine Christmas Trees and it had been several years since we last shopped with them. Whomever is responsible for hiring Lyman and his staff needs to be given an award for hiring the most awesome crew in the tree selling business. The lot looks spectacular this year and better than I remembered it. Such a friendly staff, great prices, a good variety of trees and wonderful customer service. If you aren't getting your trees from Lyman and his team you aren't doing Christmas tree shopping the right way. Hope to see Lyman and all of this year's staff back again next year. David helped me find that "needle in the hay stack" perfect Christmas Tree. His service was greatly appreciated as there is quite a bit to know about all the different varieties available. The lot its self is nicely laid out and trees are grouped by size. All the trees looked healthy and green. I do know (by having tried to compost old Christmas trees in my back yard) that some places will spray paint the needles green. I asked prior to purchasing my tree and was told they do not spray paint the tree. Great experience. read more

We don't usually get real Christmas trees, but this year we needed something special. We went to this location, bc it is the closest to us and we've seen it for the 8 years we've been at our house. We would definitely go back again. Great selection of trees and they were very helpful. Shout out to the young lady named Maggie who was so kind and helpful answering our questions, as well as a rockstar picking up our 6+ ft tree of choice and carrying it to the front like it ain't no thang. Exactly 2 days before Christmas we decided we wanted a live tree. Well the kids decided...so off we went on a tree hunt. Of course the tree lot was empty and the choices were slim. We were definitely able to bargain down the prices for the trees that were left. They give your tree a fresh cut and haul and load it onto your vehicle. Once home, I noticed that even with frequent watering the needles were shedding like crazy. I have a feeling the trees were way past their prime and not as fresh as trees I've purchased from Costco or Amazon. read more

Hands down, the BEST Christmas tree lot in Denver. We walked in and were greeted by numerous members of the staff who were so excited to assist my fiancé and I in finding the perfect tree. We immediately found a beauty of a tree but decided to look around for fun. We came back to the first tree and bought a wreath to go along with it. They gave it a fresh cut, loaded it onto the car and we were off. The two teens that assisted us were so professional that I would hire them myself. Drove around 20 minutes trying to find this place. The Yelp/Google address is wrong and takes you to a church. Then on their website if you follow the address on there it takes you to a random residential street corner. Also, the phone line to call the lot is disconnected and the office phone number doesn't get picked up. If they've been here in Denver for 39 years, why is there no correct information? read more

Columbine Christmas Trees was recommended by a few people in their terrible reviews of that other place (I won't bother you with their name) First of all Columbine has been in business in the Denver area since 1979. They boast the largest selection of freshly cut trees in our state. All kinds of Fir trees- I never knew there were so many varieties. All sizes from 3 ft to over 10 ft tall and all looking fresh, green, healthy and fragrant. all the tress are clearly priced and arranged by price/ size and type to make your experience even more simple. The guys we met working were more than knowledgeable and helpful. Almost disturbingly nice (if that is possible) Maybe its all the Christmas Cheer..I dunno. We picked out a 5 ft fir tree and let the guys do their thing. They helped to cut and shape the tree, put on a plastic base tree stand, wrap it up AND tie it to the top of our SUV- all included in the pricing. Some people are o.k. with fake Christmas trees. i say meh! I don't mind splurging on a real tree, and this lot (somewhat ironically located across the street from the JCC) have the prettiest trees in town. Ask for the Colorado "Wild White Fir" trees, I have never seen them any place else. They have nice spacing between the branches and have a wonderful fragrance. if you're not in the Christmas spirit you will be when you bring one of these trees home. read more

Friendly, knowledgeable, and honest staff. Reasonable prices (all trees are price tagged), nice selection, and an organized lot. Accidentally arrived 20 minutes before close, we were still welcomed in, and were in and out before they closed without being rushed. They helped us throughout, cut the bottom limbs, mounted & leveled the base, and tied it down for us. Great, fast experience. We would definitely recommend. read more

This place is awesome! We got the perfect tree for a great price. Juan was so friendly and helpful. He helped us pick out a perfect tree. He put on the top of our car and tied it down well and quickly. They have an amazing selection of trees on the lot and everything is fresh. My friend and I each bought a tree here. They have about 4-5 popular varieties (Fraser Fir, Noble, etc.) that come in all sizes. I bought a stand and they put it on and strapped my friend's tree to the roof of her car. Everyone was really friendly and patient, and the extra attention made it hassle-free and well worth the cost. read more
