I am so-so on this business. I have been coming to this location since I moved back to Denver in 2020. The location is on the east side of Colorado Blvd, just north of a Hampton Suites Hotel. It somewhat shares a parking lot with Whole Foods. The parking lot is really large though. A lot has changed in Denver, and saying so respectfully, not for the better. I would visit frequently the first two years I moved to Denver. However, I don't like being approached by random strangers. I will try to be politically correct as I call them the squeegee people. I wish the management would handle this. It is private property and frankly disrupting customers is bad business. It gives a bad impression to customers. For a while in 2022 and 2023, the parking lot was messy. I think it has improved some this year. I will watch the next time I am in the area or stop by, to confirm. Most of the time I either order online or pay someone I trust to run the errands. This year has been quite busy in my life. Now, to the pricing. It is mostly reasonable. I would watch their return policy though. Not everything can be returned and you should always have your receipt to return an item. Some things can be returned within 90 days, some things with less time frame. Again, check the receipt regarding the return policy. I would suggest confirming what is in stock with a phone call too. From my experience, though the website states something is in stock, it may not be. Calling before making the trip will make things smoother for you. My latest reason for shopping here has been to purchase Husky red bins for organizing. I like that they have different sizes and they are very sturdy. They also have snapping lids. The parking lot is big and most of the employees are helpful when asked. I would give it a 3.5 out of 5 stars, but not sure we can give a half star. read more

For the second time in 10 years I'm trying to order a security door from Home Depot! IT'S IMPOSSIBLE!!! The first time they completely lost the order! This time I cannot reach anyone in Millworks, particularly the first guy I spoke with in store who gave me his extension which is NONEXISTENT!!! So finally got ahold of another guy who admitted how lousy their phone system is and if he was in charge it would be the first thing he'd fix! So, he gave me 2 other extensions. I called them, NO ANSWER! Was unable to leave a message and kept sending me back to a rude operator. When I asked if I could leave a message with her, she wasn't sure! I GIVE UP! If I can't get ahold of anyone to BUY something of substantial value, can you imagine how impossible it would be if I finally could purchase it and something went wrong? They would have no incentive to respond! Look at the shitty response from the "owner" of Home Depot to the reviews! A canned, cold repeated response to each review not addressing the issue in any of them. That's how much this store gives a shit! A large chain like this...how do they stay in business?????? I opted to go to Home Depot for this security door again and again it's impossible! Everyone else I know goes to Lowes. I guess they are right and that is my next stop. This review addresses the system for delivery and service The system requires THE CUSTOMER to provide a day and date for scheduling service. As has happened not once but multiple times, I have scheduled my work, sitters, etc. around the provided date and time that works for me. I WORK!!! The night before, I receive and e-mail changing the delivery time. When I spend multiple times calling to change back to the original time, I am told basically "too bad" if you're not there. You will need to re-schedule. This system is causing very much aggravation to my life and work. It just happened again today. I now have to wait again with no guarantees or time as to when or even if the service people will show up. I am re-scheduled for Monday and told that Sunday night I will get an e-mail with a window. That certainly does not help my work schedule. I am losing $ by the minute thanks to Home Depot service system and their "we don't care about the customer" attitude. (it all depends on the driver's route). I doubt I will ever purchase an appliance from HD again. read more

So we needed our carpet floors replaced with vinyl flooring, we made the unfortunate decision to order the product and installation through Home Depot. I usually try to be understanding and review fairly, and I think I am reviewing fairly for the service we have received.First, when we came in to order the product after getting our place measured, the cost ended up being $2,000 over the estimation. They gave us an explanation that was whatever and we said fine. We got floorboards, Quarter Round, and Moulding. We set a delivery of about four weeks from then. Four weeks past, and we hear nothing so we call them on the supposed scheduled day. The lady on the phone said she forgot to actually submit the date. Then, she says if we're available she could get it delivered tomorrow. We say yes. Tomorrow rolls around and around noon, we get a confirmation text that the delivery is scheduled for the next day. So now, they have missed delivery twice. We also took off work for this so now that was beyond inconvenient. Also within this time span, they send us a discount offer saying our offer is eligible for 20% off, so we try to redeem it. We call the and they say they think our purchase is eligible and they will check. After a few days, we call back and they say actually it isn't available. We are beyond aggravated at this point. Then, the scheduling of service from HOM services, absolutely horrendous. They say we actually before they can schedule the services we have to go get asbestos testing done on the tiles that were to be removed. Because this is HOM, I won't get into all that, but I will say, spoiler alert, they don't even remove the tiles! Skipping to day of installation, today, we realize that they did not send us Quarter Rounds. They sent us Shoe Moulding. So they sent us the wrong thing and we don't want that installed. So we're having to return this and have them send us the right thing. Luckily, when we talked to them, they managed to deliver it on the last day. All in all, a horrible experience. read more

I saw him swearing at the closing lot associate who couldn't have been older than 18 absolutely disgusting. They installed a damaged cabinet, the wrong size sink base cabinet, didn't show up when they were scheduled to, scratched my glass stovetop and would not pay for it! THD is a racket, customer service office does not know what they're doing! There is no customer service! I frequent this Home Depot because it is close to my house. As far as Home Depot goes, they mostly have what you'd expect. I have not been impressed by the staff, as I feel like I'm in the way. One worker walked around a corner with his arms crossed, almost running into me, and waited for me to move before he kept going, saying nothing. Another, ran down an aisle carrying an item loudly yelling "EXCUSE ME!" so that everyone would move out of their way while they ran by. I did an online order to be picked up at this store. Picked up my order and found one item was missing. Went back to the store--they said the item hadn't come in yet (the web site said they had it). I asked to get a refund for that item. They said they couldn't give me a refund until the item came in (if the item was there I wouldn't need a refund!)when I got home I Tried calling--nearly the impossible to get a human. First person I talked to said iit "wasn't her fault" and put me on hold -i suspect she had no intention of returning. Called back. I hired HD to change my 16 years old kitchen countertop which is had water damage. unfortunately the new countertop start damaged after 3 months from many spots and when I called HD to cover it under warranty they keep comes up with excuses to not change it and after many arguments they said its damaged like old one do you believe that they used the one damaged after 15 years as excuse to not cover it under warrant. that's was very cheap and I will not use them again ever. read more

After some research, we decided to go with Home Depot for our sliding glass door project. We went with Home Depot because they "guaranteed" their installs and product. We ordered the product 10/07/2020. Went over everything and signed on the dotted line. Install was scheduled for mid-December, but rescheduled for 12/31/2020. The install clearly did not go as planned as with my limited Spanish they were cutting, shoving and forcing one slider into place. The crew tells us "done" and left. We did not sign anything, inspect anything, they just *poof* gone. After we checked out the install work, we were appalled. We abruptly called the install crew multiple times and no one picked up, voicemail full. The door frames were scratched and damaged inside and out, the door on the right was bowing and allowing cold air in, framing around the doors was incomplete/poorly measured with gaps, and there was a giant 2+" gap exposed on the exterior threshold down the house foundation. That day we reached out to the Glendale Home Depot, a week or so later after multiple calls, in store visits, and emails we finally got someone to speak to us. Fast forward a month or so later they sent out the install quality assurance person to come and look the sliders. QA person stated the trim and gap were install issues they would be able to address but the deep scratches in the frame and right slider bowing was a manufacturer issue and we would have to take it up with the manufacturer before the other install issues were addressed. This QA person also admitted that his company measured incorrectly and we should have had gliders, not sliders installed. QA inspector also indicated he was there for part of the day during install and noted on the install paperwork that one slider was wrong (um, were they hoping we would just not see that the window was bowed and damaged??)I felt that he kept on trying to get us to give statements that we damaged the frames. For example, I mentioned I attempted to clean the frames to get some of the scratches out. He would reply with, "Well what did you clean them with? Was it abrasive?" ... I asked multiple times for these QA inspections to be emailed to me directly. I was told no, they were a subcontractor with Home Depot and I would have to get the reports from them. When I asked Home Depot for the reports (multiple occasions) I was ignored. Another month goes by since the first QA inspection (yes there is more than one), at this point Home Depot then had us call the manufacturer who was then in contact with Home Depot. The manufacturer and Home Depot wanted us to prove that the sliders were installed "level, plum, and flush". Um, I am not a window installer that is why I hired Home Depot. After another week-long back and forth with Home Depot they send out the install quality assurance person again. This guy was clearly not impressed to be at our home again. Presented as confrontational and clueless. He did not know why was there or what he had to document. I had to pull up the manufacturer email and read it to him. His reply, "Well, I am not sure how to show them that..." I replied, "Nor do I, that is why I hired professionals..." SO he takes pictures and types up his report and says he will get it to Home Depot. And then we wait and two weeks pass, nothing. And we wait, and wait, and wait... Finally the manufacturing company contacts us asking if Home Depot has reached out to us. "Nope, you are the first person who has contacted us since the second inspection", we reply. From what the CSR was saying they had been trying to contact Home Depot to set up another inspection (yep, number 3 here!). We set up the inspection with the manufacturer's QA person (a month plus out. Keep in mind this is winter in Denver and cold air is just passing freely through the doors. Hello heating bill!). They also mention Home Depot did not order the doors same key, but they will handle it (we are still working with the company on this one). The manufacturer QA person comes out and checks over the doors. States that the frame damage was from the install. The bowing was actually from the install as well as they did not include a strip between the stationary and moving pane. So with all the manufacturer issues finally resolved on April 29th we go back to Home Depot for the other install issues (scratches, poorly installed trim, and threshold gap). And we wait 5 days until we get an email from Home Depot stating, "The issue with the concrete is an unforeseen issues and the store does not cover the preexisting condition..." Um, this was not exposed before the removal of the old doors and the QA from the install company said they would handle it and it should not have ever been an issue if the correct type of doors were ordered. In addition, Home Depot flat out ignored the fact that they seriously damaged our wall, trim, and new sliding doors. All they said is they would give us a $200 credit. read more

It's unfortunate the closest Home Depot to my home happens to also be one of the worst in the state. Online order of over $400 dollars. Received the email stating PART of my order was ready for pickup 3 days after ordering (7 lb bag of grass seed and 1 shovel). Headed to the store to pick it up - right off the bat the initial customer service was worrisome. We waited 40 minutes in the pick up location the staff asked us to pull in to before deciding to go inquire about our order, what was taking so long, and to see if it would be quicker to go inside and pick up up ourself. The customer service agent informed me they "didn't have our order ready, it was on the other side of the store and they needed to find it"....... does this not defeat the purpose of curbside pick up and "your order is ready" emails? He then said he didn't have my order number and asked what it was again (which leads up to believe nobody was "looking for our order". Additionally, that same associate informed another crew member that a truck had been waiting 45 min for 10 sheets of drywall. The associates response was "welp, that one's not my problem". We have requested a refund for our entire order and have instead ordered from the local ACE Hardware Store. We will also be doing all of our future shopping at lowes or Ace. read more

People and employees not properly wearing mask, while we are still in the pandemic of Covid. I will never come back here again. I am also not sad about this at all. I did not feel safe and I thought mask were mandatory in Denver. I also come from the healthcare field. I understand how it feels to wear a mask but I know how to wear it properly. As well the importance of it and the science behind it.(really sad others don't) Straight up Disappointing!!!! The fact that the company appears to not have SOPs or policies how to wear or tell patrons to wear mask, show signs of proper mask wearing, or even Deny them service is Ridiculous!!! These "adults" lack the concern and knowledge.... Take this serious America!!!! As a business you should really enforce the proper use of wearing a mask and it's important . (Ps: Patrons do not wear it under the chin you might as well have walked in without one) This store really should enforce social distancing and mask wearing through the WHOLE BUSINESS DAY!!!! I have had a miserable experience at Home Depot with the ordering and installation of window blinds. They had to remeasure 3 times because of an error I discovered, messed up the order 3 times and now I can't get the blinds I paid for installed even though I paid for installation. Every time I call it takes forever to talk to anyone and I have to start from scratch. I would never order blinds there again. read more

I've come to this location before and the service has been fine, but today it was rough. I came for a simple Christmas tree and instead of loading me up in the Christmas tree loading area, the had me go all the way to the other end of the store. The worker said they'd run out of twine at that end though, so he promised to be back with twine in less than 5 min. 10 min went by and I couldn't find the kid, so I asked another worker to find him. He eventually did and the kid was just sitting around talking. I said, dude, what's going on. He said, we're completely out of twine. Would have been nice to know that 15 min ago...he then left and showed up again about 5 minutes later with twine. Overall, rough go...no communication. Need to be better! read more

Undeniably unfriendly employees trying to put in hours while pissing off customers. Definitely need canning and shout out at their ears educating who is making it possible for them to take home the bacon. My recent experience in paint department and also customers service to rent carpet shampoo machine were not pleasant at all. My thank you was met with no response, on both area. Folks be bashin' my Home Depot. Sad. Yeah, it's true that many workers there aren't well informed or readily available. And yes it's the case that the parking situation sucks. But those annoyances aside, when ya need a mess 'o hardware stuff HD = the Walmart of Houzz, and all right in your own back yard. And sometimes the prices are ridiculously low compared to the competition. Occasionally I get lucky and need the space to store 100 lbs of Alaskan salmon, or maybe 300 lbs of elk. Got tired of our old small garage freezers blowing our circuit breakers and so went to Consumer Reports for some recommendations on new large sized ones. Several of them showed up in the HD online store in serious sales mode. Did everything on HD's on-line store and through it picked up 2 rebates for those has-been freezers which included Xcel coming to get them and giving me $50 a piece. Can't say enough about the ease of this transaction which resulted in me paying 1/2 of what Consumer Reports said was the average price for a very highly rated product. Worst customer service in the history of home improvement warehouse stores. employees in the sales floor blatantly ignored me as a customer. As an employee of Denver Schools, this was the worst place to use tax exempt numbers. When I placed orders online I would receive the worst selection of lumber, twisted and cracked to the point of not being able to use it. When I asked for management I waited 15 minutes at the front of the store and no one came. Voice mails and emails were left unanswered. Commercial sales employee actually told me to shop somewhere else. Spent thousands there over the years because district restrict where I could use my p-card. I will drive miles out of the way before I shop there again. read more

Wow! This place is at 2.5 stars before I leave my review. Why does Home Depot hire ANYONE? 3 days in a row I have walked into my local Home Depot, only to walk right out. No help at all. If you can find someone to ask a question, they look put out and offer no assistance, nor recommendations. I'm working on a big home project and could have easily spent $300+ today alone, but nope. I ended up leaving my cart in an aisle and exiting... again. One employee has shrugged me off 2 days straight. He even rolled his eyes as I began to ask a simple question tonight. Human interaction is too much for some people. I just walked away and he went back to stocking items left in aisles by other people. Off to Lowe's I go. At least if they are as unhelpful, I can focus on spending my money locally and not look back at these big box stores. PS - Who doesn't stock basil? And when I asked if I was in the wrong area, I just got a, "Nope" for a reply. I laughed, waiting for a punchline. It's been 2 days and I'm still waiting for the punchline. HD has variety you don't find elsewhere, and Beth has product knowledge that gets right to our needs. Like a walking compendium of Yelp product reviews for what she sells. If every brick-mortar store provided this much knowledge and trust we'd all be quicker to shop locally than travel to the Amazon for shopping. read more
