We had fun but there were some problems with the place that dampened our fun…read more The good: + Diving board and slide ensure thrills for the big kids while lots of spray features and graded entry shallow pool appeal to tots. + There were lots of picnic tables with umbrellas for families and plenty of lounge chairs. + There are many lifeguards and they take regular breaks and rotate posts, so it feels like safety is a priority. The bad: - The water irritates sensitive skin. We developed eczema after swimming here, so it might might not be good for people with sensitive skin. - Outside food is prohibited, which is unfortunate if you want to provide healthy snacks to your kids. The food bar staff is friendly but they sell only junk food. - And the pool walk areas could use a walking pad. The concrete gets crazy hot, which makes people want to run so they don't burn their feet. Then the lifeguards bark "WALK!" So you either ignore them, or you force yourself to walk and get burns on the bottom of your feet. No fun. The really bad: We made an unpleasant discovery when we happened to stick around to see the staff closing up. After sweep-mopping the bathrooms, they dunk the mops in the swimming pool. Gross. With a few changes, this could be a fantastic pool.

My fondest memories are of my young son swimming with Auburn Alum, Olympic medalist and TV commentator Rowdy Gaines at a week long camp directed by former Auburn Head Coach Brett Hawke. Parking can be a challenge for visitors. The closest areas are reserved for faculty and students. There is parking in the nearby football lot. The facility although dated to the mid 90's is in great condition. The primary pool and diving well is for Auburn swim and dive team. However, faculty and students can use the pool. The spectator area is marvelous and spans the entire length of the pool and well. The Olympic size pool is 50 meters with movable bulkhead, platform diving and well. The aquatic complex consist of approximately 145,000 gallons of swimming capability. The Long Course pool has eight lanes for competition with depths of 7-8 feet for greater speed. The facility is maintained to high standards and immaculate. Auburn is a fabulous city with the Auburn campus meshing into one big happy community. War Eagle!

You have so many strict rules in there, I was really impressed with the lifeguards and how well they watch the children And the older ones like myself. You always close down to make sure the pool is clean and everything is well maintained. I thought you had some decency, but now we don't have any good examples for our children to follow. I just want to swim and play pickleball and use the gym equipment and not have to look at some men dressed up like women. children need really good role models and this not setting a good example. What's next for the children? Who allows this? When you allow this, the center will go down. The community goes down also. This is not upbuilding, this is tearing down. This is a disgrace. I'm not supporting this. Anybody else going to stand with me?
