As for the actual water park, there needs to be better organization. Lines were long b/c there wasn't enough tubes for people to use. This caused lots of lingering. We had fun but there were some problems with the place that dampened our fun…read more The good: + Diving board and slide ensure thrills for the big kids while lots of spray features and graded entry shallow pool appeal to tots. + There were lots of picnic tables with umbrellas for families and plenty of lounge chairs. + There are many lifeguards and they take regular breaks and rotate posts, so it feels like safety is a priority. The bad: - The water irritates sensitive skin. We developed eczema after swimming here, so it might might not be good for people with sensitive skin. - Outside food is prohibited, which is unfortunate if you want to provide healthy snacks to your kids. The food bar staff is friendly but they sell only junk food. - And the pool walk areas could use a walking pad. The concrete gets crazy hot, which makes people want to run so they don't burn their feet. Then the lifeguards bark "WALK!" So you either ignore them, or you force yourself to walk and get burns on the bottom of your feet. No fun. The really bad: We made an unpleasant discovery when we happened to stick around to see the staff closing up. After sweep-mopping the bathrooms, they dunk the mops in the swimming pool. Gross. With a few changes, this could be a fantastic pool.

While they do have three football fields and a baseball field for the county youth associations to play on, there is so much more! There is a very nice paved path surrounding the main park area great for running, walking, pushing strollers etc. There is a huge playground and picnic area. There is a large indoor gym with basketball, run track, class rooms and conference rooms. And I believe they also have an adjoining disc golf course (at least did at one time) We come here often. Its quiet, easy to get to without much traffic and close to home

I just want to give a shout out to Mrs. Jones who taught the adult beginners lessons. She was super patient and made the lessons fun! Got me to a point of jumping into the deep pool and being able to tread water! I'm amazed at the progress I've made. Thanks to the facility to setting a time that works for parents to be able to do an activity like this and to not feel judged. I can't wait to take the intermediate adults class. I love that the pools are indoor to make year round practicing an option. Lifeguards are always present when you're in the pool. Everyone is super helpful! They offer classes for all levels and ages. Aerobics too. The only con I can say is it's hard to reach anyone by phone - no matter what prompt I try. Facebook and email is somewhat hard to get a response from too but better than by phone. They do post regularly on Facebook. There's a screen inside with the most updated information and closings too.

They have a small snack bar with things like soda and chips. Except for the swim lanes the whole pool is at most maybe 4 feet deep, it has a small lazy river, a whirlpool area that spins kids around, a zero entry - it's just all great for kids from around 3 to probably 10 or 11. I'm sure older kids will have fun too but it's almost perfect for the younger ones.

I was super bummed with the attached restaurant closed, but apparently a new food place opened up in its place. I took my rugrats here for the "Splish Splash" event and really enjoyed it.
