Dr. McGeever saved our two year old Cane Corso Thunder's life. We didn't have all of the money to pay for the emergency surgery he needed and Columbus Central Veterinary let us put a portion down and they take money out of our account every two weeks until it's paid off. No one else was willing to do this for us and told us our beloved Thunder would have to be euthanized. Everyone who works there was so amazing and kind. They really showed a lot of compassion and care towards our little/big guy and us. Dr. McGeever called every day with updates and throughly explained what he did and what we should expect. Never have we met a nicer veterinarian who shows true concern and love for animals. It was refreshing to see after the places we tried to bring Thunder to and the total lack of empathy from anyone in the veterinary field. We live in Pennsylvania but we are most definitely bringing our animals to this facility from now on. Thank you Dr. McGeever and staff. We will never forget your wonderful hearts.

I started out thinking that these guys were really gonna be the answer to my problems. That is…read moreuntil that I took one of my cats in for a dental procedure. I should've seen the red flags when their main concern was payment and not the cat. without going into a tremendous amount of detail when I picked my cat up very late in the day, he was not ready to be released, but because it was getting late they hurried everything along when I got the cat home he had no use of his rear legs because he had been so overly sedated. When he tried to come out of the crate, he was absolutely terrified, and the psychological impact it had on him lasted for about three weeks. I had to spoon feed him, swaddle him and constantly give him attention. They gave me no warning as to how bad he would be when he came out of the crate had I known I would've kept him in the crate and kept him calm. But in their haste to get us out of there, I guess they did not do their job correctly. When I told them this, they blamed me because I took the cat and even said I was petting him while he was in the crate. Of course I was petting him in the crate. It wasn't until he tried to get out of the crate that I realized how bad he was. The nurses had put him in the crate so they knew, but did not tell me. They've accepted no responsibility , the surgeon has not called me. All they have tried to do is point the blame in my direction as if I was overreacting. These people should go into a different business dealing with fast food or something that they're more qualified to deal with because their ability to handle clients and patients is absolutely reprehensible. I will never go back there I will never recommend anybody goes there and I would be the first to cheer if I saw them be shut down horrible horrible people. Apologize for the typos I voice feature as I am a senior citizen with arthritis. by the way, I take care of a colony of stray cats I've had two other cats the same exact procedure. were much smaller however they didn't have any of the side effects that I referred to above these cats were not treated by Mansfield they were treated by another veterinarian obviously going to Mansfield was a-massive mistake, but I guess we learn from our mistakes. I'm hoping that this review prevents someone from making the same mistake I . If you go for a rabies shot I guess they're OK but do not trust them for any big things not to mention they're about $600 over the estimated price.

I have 6 kitties who eat quality kibble, get snacks, and catnip, and tons of love. My 8 and 3 year old boys are both neutered already, but I needed to get the 4 youngest done, and even though I'm low income, I believe if you're going to own pets, don't add to the already overpopulation of unwanted animals. I researched and found that Bryan Animal Hospital will fix your animal for $10 if you are low income and the state reimburses them the cost of the surgery (I think it's like 80%). In the past month, I took my baby Nero in first to be neutered to stop him spraying, and now he's no longer marking me! Thank you, Bryan Animal Hospital, for that! I only had to pay the neuter fee and the cost of medication for him to go home with, and his first series of kitty shots was free. You do have to get their rabies done or pay for it there, but there are free rabies clinics throughout Burlington County, which is what I did for my cats. The vet tech told me about the rabies clinics, which was awesome! I then took ZaZa in, and then Darla. They do offer extra services at the time of the spay and neuter, but they didn't make a big deal about me not wanting to add them on. When I took my last kitten in, they said she had an upper respiratory cold and needed antibiotics, which cost me $50, and I had to bring her back in 2 weeks later, which was today. I looked it up, because she wasn't coughing and didn't have any congestion or anything, and everything said that cats don't typically need antibiotics for that type of thing and it clears on its own. I took her in today, and they said she was fine for surgery, and I never even gave her the antibiotics, so I do feel like they prescribed her the medication without her really needing it. I don't like to give my kids any more medication than I have to, and I'm the same with my fur babies. I have to get them all their 2nd booster kitty shots but at the office they are $45 each so I believe I'm going to do that at a vaccine clinic for $15 each, just because there's so many cats, and I am on a fixed income. The techs and the vet are very sweet there and friendly. They will really make you feel like they care about your baby and help you feel confident about leaving them in their care. Thank you for helping me keep my little fur monsters healthy, Bryan Animal Hospital! I truly do appreciate all that you've done for me and my family.

I got a quote over the phone for my 3lb puppy to get bath, brushed, nails clipped and haircut. The quote was $60 and when I picked up the puppy I was charged $100.00 and they didn't clip his nails or cut his hair everywhere, just his face! They kept telling me to take the dog to the ER and gave the impression he was going to die. When he pulled through after I was up all night syringe feeding him for 8 days, when I brought him back, they lectured me about not giving him a balanced diet! WTF the puppy ate nothing in his own. I was syringe feeding him the food they gave me to keep him alive. He finally ate eggs and they're like that's not a complete diet.

Dr. Johnson built a very strong relationship with us because of her amazing professionalism and caring/kind demeanor. She really connected with her patients and their fur parents. When she left, we noticed a total change. Dr. Levine is not Dr. Johnson in any sense. The lack of empathy and professionalism that my husband and I received after trying to address an issue with Dr. Levine is sickening. My husband brought in one of our dogs for a breathing issue in late October. Our dog was given a cortisone shot and chest X-rays (xrays were clear). During the visit, the vet tech noticed a small growth on our dog's head. My husband was asked to bring our dog back for a biopsy on Nov 4th. A biopsy was done. Results were allegedly communicated to my husband via phone on November 7th. My husband advised Dr. Levine stated "no cancerous cells were found." However, we should continue to monitor the growth for changes. Our dog continued to have a breathing issue that we took him to the hospital for on Nov 2nd bc we did not feel the cortisone shot brought any relief after the vet visit with Dr. Levine in late October. He received prednisone from the hospital. I received a call from Dr. Levine on Nov 3rd and he scolded me for bringing my dog to the hospital after he had already given him the cortisone shot. He didn't ask how about our dog's condition at all. He wanted to know why the hospital called to request record, which we found out he never sent. That was the first time I realized he lacked professionalism, empathy and sympathy! As time passed, we noticed our dog's breathing issue worsened and the growth on his head became larger. So, my husband went back to Dr. Levine on Dec 29th. I was FaceTimed during the visit. Dr. Levine advised that the growth didn't look good and he believed it was cancerous. I immediately started to ask questions about the biopsy. He stated the biopsy showed atypical cells, but maybe there was an issue with the biopsy that didn't catch the issue at hand. I advised that I was confused how we received information that said there was no cancer noted previously. Now, we are being told the growth is cancerous. Dr. Levine said he spoke to my husband and gave him all of the information via phone. When I advised I was not aware of the fact the cells were atypical and there was an additional issue outstanding, he raised his voice and began to blame me for not calling to speak with him. I told him it was his responsibility to communicate properly with his patients as the doctor. He should have sent a written report or followed up in written format, which is appropriate. Apparently, Dr. Levine recognized his error bc I received an email yesterday, 12/30 outlining the alleged details he discussed with my husband with the verbiage that he claims was included in the biopsy report. Well, that email was VERY LATE and only infuriated me since he chose to continue pointing the finger at my husband claiming they had a a detailed conversation. The email was clearly a "cover-up" at this point for the lack of information or misinformation provided. We had an appointment with MTL Animal Hospital for additional testing yesterday and are praying that there is a treatment plan that can help him. Needlessly to say, neither one of our dogs will ever see Paws and Claws or Dr. Levine ever again. I can only hope that no one else has a similar story or experience with him or his office. - I'm sure he will respond to THIS review in a similar manner as he has to all of the other one star reviews. Please note his inability to accept accountability, his lack of professionalism and the crassness in his responses. His true character shines through in every response.
