I ignorantly left a misguided positive review for Don's Home Improvement five months ago. Don…read moreBellehumeur had installed a pre hung exterior door that I purchased from Menards. During the installation, he bragged about how door installation was his forte. When he left, I thought all was well and he asked me to leave a review. A few months later I had a football game party and a couple of guys noted the extremely shoddy workmanship of the installation of the door. I felt really duped by Don Bellehumeur. One of the guys even found where he screwed up and instead of correcting it, he went ahead and proceeded to deceive me. I contacted Menards because that is where I purchased the door and that is where I was given Don's contact information. Menards asked for photos of the poorly installed door and they then met with Don to see if they could come up with some sort of resolution. The Menards store manager then contacted me and told me Don refused to do the right thing and re install the door. To Menards credit, they did tell me they will never do business with "Don's Home Improvement" again and will never recommend him to another customer. I now have to have the door reinstalled all at my expense. In the meantime and until the weather improves, I have a door through which you can see daylight and on which the deadbolt is not properly aligned, raising safety concerns. Run, don't walk, away fron this guy. He's got a real line of bull. And to all those females out there and not so handy men, beware of these types of contractors who will take advantage of anyone that doesn't know the difference between a reputable contractor and a shyster like Don Bellehumeur. "Don's Home Improvement" he's not!

So he kept turning it from side to side to wash away soap, tooth paste, etc. Over time, he basically "unscrewed" the faucet. By the time I noticed, I couldn't tell if it was broken or just needed tightening. Gave Shane a call, he asked to send him pics, then replied back with instructions on how to fix things myself. He could've easily come out to my place, then charge a service and labor fee, but he helped me save money... and now I know that what I thought was a part of the fixture is actually a hard-to-reach nut wrench.
