In this case of Family Resources, you should look into them. For those of you who have read any of my reviews during the past few months, you may know I'm getting married. My Fiancé and I have a wonderful relationship but with pretty much any and everything in life, there's room for improvement. We've heard that premarital counseling is normal and we both were down to try it so hey......what the heck!!! I must say this......after being smart enough to choose the lady I did to marry, coming here is EASILY the second best relationship decision I've made! Dr Laura Clevenger is PHENOMENAL!!! And I can't stress that enough. She's intelligent, cool, easy to talk to, a great listener and gives exceptional advice. She's not pushy or controlling, demanding that we do things her way or no way. She gives us the opportunity to make suggestions and has helped with altering our ideas to make them better. The result is a union that's stronger than it's ever been! We told her that if she keeps this up, we're inviting her to the wedding......and we meant it! But I am German and I can tell you she is not. She just doesn't sugar coat and says how it is. I rather have them tell me the brutal reality and have me look at my habits cause that's what I am here for. I have a health problem and want to solve it and not take meds forever. And you can only solve a problem when you put the work/effort in. Meds are the easy way. Necessary form time to time for sure, though I rather see them as a supplemental help I hope to cut at some point.

I have been diagnosed with Hashimotos for over 8 years and have nothing but issues. My PCP was not able to get it under control so I was sent here to hopefully see if they would be able to help me. There was only a few minute wait in the room but I could hear the physicians talking to other patients about their care. It is an older place so I am sure there isn't much insulation in there. No big deal. Robyn finally came in the room. She barely said a word to me other then to sit on the table. She felt my neck and then said "I don't even know why you're here, you are on medication. Stick with that, there is no need for you to come back." So I left. Fast forward to 2023 and my health has rapidly declined. I had tried to get in with other Endocrinologists but between time, insurance, and work it never worked out. I saw my ENT and he insisted my thyroid needs to removed and told me I have to get in with an endo to see what my next steps are. I figured let me give them another chance but with me seeing a different physician. Lateshia completely understood and was so nice in helping me get in with someone else. I am now seeing Sharon and I am very happy with her. I have only been back once, but I go back in 3 weeks, and she said she will have a full game plan for me at that time. This would have been a 1 star (if I could go negative I would) but after Lateshia's help and seeing Sharon it has now moved to 3 stars. I'm not sure I would recommend this office, but I am pleased with the help I am receiving now.

The front desk staff is extremely sweet and though I'm 23 (too old to not know how to follow instructions), they made sure to go over my paperwork with me and make sure that everything was filled out correctly. My nurse ran some preliminary exams and explained which tests I'd be taking. Doctor Kathy was A M A Z I N G! She is such a pleasure to speak to. In addition to talking to me about my health, she just took a general interest in me and my personal/professional life and it was something that improved my overall experience. I'd recommend anyone to make Dr. Kathy their primary.

I'm sure some of us get anxiety from new things so I'll try to be as detailed as possible. I couldn't be happier with my experience here. I called to make an appointment and quickly connected with someone who was friendly and helpful. Although BHS was not in my network, they were very upfront about the self-pay fee ($375) and took my payment info over the phone. There were no surprise fees or billing issues. My evaluation appointment was a little over a week later and the clinical interview was two weeks after the eval. Both appointments were done via video call. Right after the initial phone call, I received a portal link via email where I could see my future appointments and fill out an intake document. The document's format made it tricky to fill out, but not enough so to deduct a star. They send text and email reminders for all appointments. A couple days before each appointment, I received a link via text to the telehealth room. The system worked great with no issues. Both the evaluators and Dr. Colvin-Guthrie were kind and professional. You can really tell that they review your information before the appointment. I never felt any pressure or judgment and I felt comfortable sharing and asking queations. If requested, BHS will send you a copy of your records and fax them to the provider(s) of your choice. Overall, this was an incredibly positive and validating experience. If you are considering a mental health evaluation, I couldn't recommend BHS more!
