I trained with this team a few years ago. The instructor, a first degree black belt, was of low…read morequality. He was able to teach, but had many technical errors. When it came to sparring, it was clear that he was unfamiliar with jiujitsu. The higher ranked team members cheated at tournaments, using the team to have me removed from divisions so that lesser skilled members could advance. Come promotion time, they attempted to enroll me into a pyramid scheme, asking for payments of 2,000 dollars. When refused, they became aggressive and spread negative rumors throughout the community in retaliation. Needless to say, I can not say that this was a positive experience. When I asked corporate about the behavior of this franchise, they at first tried to deny it was even a location. Something is not right with this establishment.
