Had 2 cars with body damage repaired by Combs. Both were well done. I highly recommend Combs.

The whole process has been a disappointment. My vehicle had $1000 of repairs and sat in their shop for 21 days for a front bumper cover and one wheel replacement (which they use recycled parts by the way). I would never recommend them for any service again. They look to cut corners, place liability of their inability for repairs on sublet and their customers, are discourteous, and continually provide false updates on the repair status (very inconvenient when you are planning your day around when they will have the car ready, while also caring for two small children around their 'updates'). I would only recommend this shop for people who enjoy getting the run around, being belittled and repeatedly mislead, and needing a repair lifetime warranty for a place you wouldn't step back into again. 1/5 , would put 0, but it's not possible. read more

My experience with Combs Collision in Dublin has been fantastic. Their work, their professionalism, and their dedication to their customers was exceptional. Brent and Tylee were a pleasure to work with. For me to move forward with the repairs, I was required by Sedgewick, the Claims Management Service for the responsible party, to get two "estimates" for the minor cosmetic work needed (if minor can apply to any body repair work these days). Combs Collision's estimate was slightly higher than Three-C's estimate. So Sedgewick had me use Three-C; an absolutely terrible experience which I'll go into in detail on a review on their website. Parenthetically, Sedgewick now avoids working with Three-C. The bottom line is that eventually the work did not get completed at Three-C and - as I would've preferred from the start - the repairs were done at Combs. The work was flawless, and actually came in slightly less than their original estimate. When a small edge on the rear bumper protective decal pulled slightly away from flush several weeks after the work was completed, Brent told me that as soon as the weather was better, he'd have that re-done. It was done last week. Now it lays perfectly flush, and nearly invisible on the bumper. I can unhesitatingly recommend Combs Collision in Dublin for anyone needing body work. read more

Honestly, I wish "0 stars" was an option. I would never ever recommend this place to anybody. I went as far as calling my insurance (USAA) to reconsider them as a "recommended" provider. Not only is the customer service poor, but the mechanical service is somehow even worse. Never ever again! read more

Stopped in today 9/19/19 at approx 1:30 pm to see about getting an estimate for some damage to my 2011 Chrysler 200. A lady had backed in to my car about 25 -30 mins prior to me stopping at Combs. The employee said they only do estimates by appointment and could schedule my appointment for about 2 weeks later. I was blown away that it takes two weeks to get an appointment to get an estimate. Left there and called Fine Line Auto Body to see if I could get an appointment sooner. I was told that they only do walk in estimates. Kind of ironic and funny at the same time. Took my car to Fine Line Auto Body on North High Street in Columbus about 15 mins away. Received a written estimate within about 10-15 mins after arrival. From this limited experience with Combs, I wouldn't recommend their body shop. read more

I brought my car for an estimate in September to fix a bumper that had come loose when I drove over a truck tire tread. I chose them because they were within walking distance (an hour) of my home. I was given a date for the estimate a week later, in October. I received the estimate when I brought it back, was told it would take about two days to repair, and given a date in early November as the earliest they could do it. I brought it back on that date (glad the bumper did not fall off in the meantime). Two days later, I received a call that they had found a couple of brackets that had broken off. I authorized the additional repair, which took two more days. I got a call late Friday and arranged an after hours pickup, since I was going to have to walk there. I got there, the car was there as promised, but the inside heat no longer worked, and the engine overheated just driving the two miles back home. I brought it back the following Monday, today to have them fix that. They took NO responsibility for breaking the heater and said it was coincidental, because all they had done was remove the bumper and replace it and would charge me to repair it. However, they ALSO cleaned the inside of the car, front and rear. It's entirely possible that they accidentally disconnected a wire, or a fuse, in the process of cleaning the front, but never took that into account. Never going back. read more

Everyone I worked with was amazing. My car was done in four days and looks as good if not better than when it was new (which was 6 months ago). Even went the extra mile of buffing out a weird orange mark on the door. The whole experience was perfection. read more

AWFUL! Wouldn't recommend to my enemy. My car was involved in a hit and run before Christmas. I dropped my car off to Combs despite requesting a tow in my work order. When I dropped off my vehicle the assistant manager was so surprised that I was there and even made a comment that clearly it was not drivable. Well of course it wasn't safe to drive but waiting on them to contact me for a tow wasn't going to happen. My car was in the body shop for 30 days and during that time I did not receive ONE word from them regarding my vehicle. No timeline. No update. No estimate. Only "please come get your vehicle and pay us our money". Seriously, what an utter waste of a deductible. When I addressed this with both managers and owner, it fell on deaf ears. Excuses were made as to why my situation clearly fell between the cracks. The owner even compared my situation to paying your bill at a restaurant, stating paying my deductible was how "their guys get paid". No mercy was spared. No sympathy given. In fact, Brent the assistant manager barely apologized. I had to call him out for him to even acknowledge that this was clearly an error. This "family owned" company is clearly a monopoly and is not out for the customer but for themselves. I'm hoping this review spares some naive person a lot of time, frustration and money. read more

I suck at driving. Unfortunately I have had to use Combs Collision a lot. If I have to use body show services this is where I will always go. They are friendly, take time to understand my financial needs and are very responsive. Brent goes above and beyond and is so friendly. Don't trust them if you value your money and vehicle. They repaired damage to the underside of my car after I hit a delaminated tire on I70. Everything appeared fine until I had my oil changed. At that time the manager at that facility (a Midas we have utilized for many years) informed me that the air conditioning line was damaged and bent so badly that it was blocking the oil filter and they could barely remove and replace it. My wife called and made an appointment to have it evaluated and repaired. After they supposedly inspected it they told her they couldn't find any damage. She insisted that they speak with the other facility. After speaking with the manager at Midas they then told my wife that to do the inspection they would need to put it on a lift and they didn't have one available so she would have to come back. This means that they gave her an appointment to inspect our vehicle even though they didn't have the capability of doing so at that time. Even worse they clearly lied when they said there was no damage since they hadn't even inspected it. Possibly the worst thing is they conveyed the feeling to my wife that they didn't care our business or fixing our car. read more

Excellent customer service by everyone especially Brent. Did a perfect job fixing my Subaru after it got backed into and even went above and beyond and touched up another small area with the extra paint they had leftover. If I ever need a repair shop again will go here for sure. Looks like new and they cleaned my car spotless inside and out. They also set everything up for the rental for pickup and delivery. I can't think of anywhere in this transaction where I was disappointed. Left my SUV in their front lot without an appointment due to rusted out bumper...bike rack fell off is how we found out. Brent called me at once, gave me an estimated, and since they were slow agreed to start on this at once. I was introduced to the mechanic and given some alternatives in the repair. They also completely took care of the rental car while the repairs were being done. I have been to Combs 3x (don't ask). Each and every time I have been treated friendly and respectfully. Recently they fixed a dent in less than an hour and my car looks terrific. In the past they worked with my insurance company and had a loner vehicle ready when I arrived for repair. They walk you around the car upon completion and you can tell it's with well earned pride. They are masters of their craft with very fair prices (I looked around for estimates). I think they are great and as a female, it's a relief to have trust in an auto repair service. I recently took my car in to combs collision, I have only had my car a month and ran over a curb it tore my bumper off and damaged the under carriage, they took it and repaired it like new and did not gouge me on price. if anything ever happens again to my car this is were I will go, it is hard to find a trustworthy mechanic, but I did here. read more

Honestly this is one of the worst body shops I've been to. They look like a friendly professional company from the outside but once we gave them our car to repair it turned out to be a nightmare. The fix for a front bumber and a left headlight took almost a month to fix where as expected was about 2weeks, 3 weeks max. After that there was a check engine light that came on and without telling us about the fee they sent it to the Mazda dealership and to have it checked out and charged us $90.00 on top of whatever else we were paying them for the fix-up. A checkup at Mazda is like $20 so they were delaying this and charging us $70 for Labor...Worst body shop around DO NOT give them your car if you value your time and money. I would suggest True2form or somewhere else. read more

My bf brought his when his car was the victim of a break in, and I most recently after getting in a slight fender bender with a pole at a gas station :/ Brent is one of the main reasons we continue to come back to combs. Aside from the great body work and repairs on our cars, Brent does very well on the customer service end of the business. My car was going to take awhile to fix up and he called us along the way with updates about where things were & a timeline of what to expect. I also had to come back in afterwards for a timeline for my insurance company which seemed like a bit of a process to screen shot and print from the computer but he and one of the women up front worked on it together & happily provided it for me. Our neighbor backed into us a few months back and they took care of the damage at a price that didn't cause his rates to go up. Just last week my wife hit our other car as she was pulling into her parking spot. No major damage but she was discouraged because she thought she would have to pay several hundred dollars to get it fixed and it was in the same place that the damage was done before. I took it back and explained the situation and Brent offered to touch up the scratch for free, all I had to do was buy some touch up paint from Honda for $14. My car was rear ended downtown, and after being being given several suggestions for repair by Nationwide Insurance, I chose Combs Collision, becauseit was convenient and has been around for some time. I called to set up a time for an estimate, and from that point on everything went very smoothly with no surprises. I was met promptly at my appt. time, and the estimate was done quickly and thoroughly. A printed estimate was provided and everything that was to be done was explained. I was able to set up a time to have the work done and given an estimate of the time needed to complete repairs. All repairs were done on time and they kept in touch with me to keep me posted of the progress. When I came to pick up the car, they went with me while I examined the end result, making sure any questions I had were answered. They even explained the limited lifetime warranty for the work done. My car looked like new and I was very happy with the entire process. I have recommended Combs to others and will use them again if the occssion areses. read more

Terrible experience! I was told the process would take 2 weeks maximum and now on the third week... Everyday its SUPPOSE to be done they push it back another day. I have yet to get my truck back. This is my work truck so I have not been able to work during this time being. Every time i call in they have to call me back... sometimes this takes days. If you are looking for a company that really cares about your time and money i would not go there. They OVER PROMISE and UNDER DELIVER. read more

Combs Collision of Dublin is an A+ body shop. Their estimate was several hundred dollars less than the other body shops and the work was completed ahead of schedule.
