Comcast Xfinity gives no customer support. I am paying for services that do not work and the "computer support service" keeps repeating trouble shooting step one over and over but it will not acknowledge the step has been done. This service does not allow you to speak to a human. It is a lucky business to have a virtual monopoly. Never seen such bad customer support. read more

I've had Comcast home security for two years and had no major issues until a few weeks ago. One of my 3 security cameras went down so I contacted them to resolve the problem. Called the 1800 number and sat on hold for 10 mins and nobody picked up. So I decided to try the text support in the app and got somebody right away. We tried to reset the camera and I told the agent the camera looked like it had bubbles in it. The remote reset didn't work so they scheduled an appointment for someone to come out the next business day which was Monday. Here's where everything went left. The tech shows up and tells me that the cameras Comcast sold me were never meant to be installed outdoors which was news to me. He said I would have to buy another camera because they don't cover the cost of replacements. I thought that was messed up but figured I had the camera for two years and was fine with getting another one. The tech then tries to talk me out of buying the Comcast equipment and suggests that I get another brand. I say I still want the Comcast camera anyway so he says he can't place the camera in the same place because it will get wet again. I say okay and ask him to put the camera underneath the pediment above my doorway. I walk away and leave him to do the install. He calls me back 30 mins later to check the position of the camera and I'm pissed when I see what he's done. The installation looks horrible!! He slapped the camera up in the middle of the door frame and left a huge clump of wire in the corner. I asked him if he could shorten the wire and make it look the way it was before and he said no. The front of my house looks a mess and I had no issues with Comcast before. I'm not happy and will be looking into another provider once my contract is up. read more

In Feb Comcast hired a 3rd party co Decisive Communications to run a line from the side of my house where there junction box is across the street to one of my neighbors. Now I don't have Comcast we have Verizon FiOS. Initially Comcast ran a line down the side of our yard, across the street and down the road to the house that was needing the service. We never received a knock on the door or a note informing us of where this cable line came from. So I called Comcast asking about it. Their service center had no idea what I was referring to so the agent said he would send someone out to take a look. Couple days later it snowed. And when the plows came through it sliced the cable line. In a few days another line was run, again no communication from Comcast. Then without notification this 3rd party company began digging up our yard. I realize there is a utility easement right however it doesn't give the company the right to dig up our yard without assurances it would be repaired. We had the company halt work until we spoke with a supervisor and received something in writing stating they would repair the lawn come spring. Well it took over a dozen phone calls and emails to Decisive Communications before we got a response. And once again when they arrived to our house no one knocked on the door to let us know what the plans were. My husband was notified by our Ring camera that someone was in our yard, and when he checked the workers were speeding grass seed. Never mind the dug up dirt that was left there from Feb. My husband told he to stop immediately and contact his supervisor. You see when they came in Feb to dig up the yard the ground was hard so they had to dig up quite a bit and left mounds of dirt in the area they dug up making the lawn uneven. When we explained this to the supervisor we told him we expected the ground to be leveled and sod placed down. 2 days later workers came back throwing 4 patches of sod down on our yard. I'm quite sure if this had been anybody else's yard your actions would be the same as ours. Needless to say now we are stuck with making repairs to our yard that came about because their stupid junction box is located on the side of our home. I've requested that it be moved but they refused saying it's impossible. Comcast sucks! read more

Without a doubt, no competition, this is the worst customer service I have experienced in 35 years of dealing with customer service. The worst. Nobody is close. To get to a person it takes luck and persistence. When you talk to a an agent they have NO IDEA what they are doing. RUN, don't walk, to any other provider. I spent 4 hours in a live chat on 9/13 trying to fix connectivity issues from my vacation in Hawaii and they screwed up my account so badly my business lost connections and clients. Then they told me it was Apple's fault. They are uncaring, untrained, and horrible. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with them. I can honestly say they could not care less about their customers, because they do not care at all. HORRIBLE. read more

Waited ALMOST TWO HOURS to pick up one single cable box! Crazy. There was no sense of urgency to help anybody or get things moving at an expedited pace and a few staff members appeared to just be standing around having small talk despite the excruciatingly long wait. read more

My bill went from $93 to $108 not too bad I called and no resolution we talked about the equipment I had, the rep said if I returned the box it would go down $9.95 but I only have one box which is the one that is included. He never told me I was being charged for an extra box, nothing on record that we did discuss the box. The charge by looking at the bill is not clear. Now my bill went from 108 to 136.89. That is not acceptable I called they said anything else even going down to basic tv or just doing Internet would nine more expensive or the same. I was told they could lower the bill by $8. lol obviously they do not appreciate loyal customer I had Comcast since I bought the house in 2007 not always in my name, but switch it to my name in 2015 Then I found out that since 2015 march April. They gave bee charging me for an extra box. That is almost 24 months 238.00. I wonder how many people they have done that to. I can only dispute 120 day, that is really robbery they over charge for their service And then they charge for equipment you don't have. This is really disgusting and there is no one that can vouch for us they make the rules no one monitors them, they can do whatever and charge whatever without regulations and we the consumer are just out of luck. The worst consumer decision I ever made was to switch to comcast/xfinity. 5 months as a customer and I have had a tech out 5 times and have been credited about $175 for their lack of service. One star because there is no way to post negative numbers. A couple days ago a storm took down a huge tree in a neighbor's yard. It blocked the road and tore down the power and cable lines. Somehow Pepco got power back the same evening. So I called Comcast.... What I should have done was find a pointy stick and just kept poking myself. A nice lady called me back, so i thought all was starting really well. Remember, the cable lines are laying in a neighbor's yard, and while I am not an expert, I imagine that is the cause of the outage. Boy was I wrong! The lady on the phone was nice enough to tell me that my service was not off. (Remember the lines.) If my service was off she would have had a note in the file because the system detects that by itself. I explained the whole thing again and she confirmed that I had service. Nothing more she could do. I asked how I could report an outage and she had no idea. She did tell me that she could send a signal to the box... I thought, bingo. The signal won't get here so we can move forward. Well half right, the signal couldn't get here. She still had no idea, so i asked to speak with a supervisor. After about 5 minutes on hold she comes back on and tells me the supervisor told her to out in an outage report (that's why that person is a supervisor.) She tells me it is done, so I guess somewhere in there she remembered how to do it. A couple hours later I was walking down the street from the neighbor's house, where the city had just finished cutting the tree out of the road, and lo and behold there is an Xfinity truck pulling over next to the pile of cable on the ground. I stopped and sooke with the guy and told him my address. I also mentioned that the lady on the phone told me service was not out, but I was pretty sure it was. He said, "Well, the cable's over there on the ground so of course you don't have service, while shaking his head. He said he had called for a bucket truck and the cable should be back by 6pm. Once again the idiot inside me broke free. I thought now we are making progress. (It is about 2pm at this point.) A little while later I look out, expecting to see the bucket truck, but instead find that there is nothing marked xfinity anywhere on the street. About 8pm I give them a call and go through it all again. We are working on it and will call you with updates as things change. Who would fall for that line? Yes, I was surprised when I got a call back. Did the technician or the manager call you back? Sigh. Nope, so silence from them that night. I did, however, get an email from xfinity saying I could stream my entire channel lineup on my smart device! Genius since I have cell service. I download the new streaming app. and.......wait for it, another comcast/xfinity lie. I can stream about 15 channels. The big bonus, you cannot stream if you are casting the pic to your tv. So I can watch absolutely the crappiest 15 channels ever broadcast on my smart phone. One thing is for sure, they are consistent. If they are telling you something, they are lying to you. The next morning (today) I get a call at 0730 from a really nice guy saying he will be at my house in 30 min. I asked, "For what?" "Didn't you place a service call? "Yes I did, but it was fornthe 80' tree that tore out all the power and cable lines on the street. "Oh, they have it down as the line to your house." I tell him the story, and also tell him a technician was out yesterday and saw the problem. I can hear him shaking his head over the phone. "I have to come out and take some pictures for my supervisor..... And here I sit waiting for comcast/xfinity to take care of things. read more

Prepare to wait an hour just to simply return your equipment - after repeated questions - was told that is just the system. So - what does a handicapped person do who cant come into the store or wait? They have no answers. A very inefficient dissatisfactory set up for the consumer. read more
