I needed to return my security package because it is not compatible with my home. I called customer and was informed to just return the equipment and a credit of $211 would be credited to the acct. I asked if there is anything I should be aware of before going to the store, because I don't want to be told at the store I have to go thru customer service. I was informed that would not be the case. That was misinformation and I feel that he lied on purpose. Upon going to the store front I was informed they could only take one of the items and I must take the other two doorbells home. Stating they can't be returned and I must continue paying for something that's not compatible with my home. The employee was more concern with getting a bad review vs helping me out. I called the number that was provided. The employee immediately told me it was the wrong dept and she could not help. Employee was very short, rude, and sounded aggravated from the first moment in the conversation (never properly greeting me). She then told me she would transfer me and hung up on me. This is not a service that I pay for with a smile. As a new member I'm not feeling too secure in my choice of company. SN: I even added to my package prior to knowing that I was being bamboozled with a false promise regarding the equipment/credits . I may have to find another provider. As many friends of mine, I have not had good experiences with Comcast phone support. In one case, I was so on the phone with them for over three hours and still did not resolve my problem. Lately, the Comcast seas have been calm. We have had issues that seem to resolve themselves with their latest technology. One of my TV remotes that was not to a main line or DVR was not operating. So I headed to Comcast Service Center to have it replaced. When I arrived, there was many people waiting. I pulled a ticket and sat down for surprisingly a short time before I was called. I had with me my paper work to prove my membership in my hand and Comcast dead remote. As I walked up to the counter, the Comcast service person grabbed my remote and flick it behind her in one motion into a box. Then proceeded to find a new updated one and told me to have a nice day. They have moved store and service center up to Donald Ross Road, but the service is still poor. Line out the door, like always, but now it is in the direct sun. Consistently eight to ten people in line waiting on two service reps. Each customer takes about 15 minutes, so bring sunscreen, you will be in the sun for a while. Only two people allowed in store at a time. Software they use must be very unfriendly. It often takes a manager to figure out what needs to be done. Service reps try hard to be friendly and courteous. They just need twice as many as they have working. read more

After hours of just trying to locate the telephon number on the web site, and attempting to get through, I finally got a representative on the phone. This is by far one of the worst companies to contract. Customer service is awful. Training is awful. Billing dept is shady and our bill fluctuates and no one seems to know why. Every call takes nearly one hour Internet drops frequently They blatantly lie when they don't know what the issue is. At one point they told me their service had no issues and I had to rewrite my entire home yet my neighbor had the same issue. I lived in another home that I rented and when they went to install for my tenant they told her I cut all the wires when I moved out and charged her $120 to retire. Cable went out for seemingly no reason whatsoever. There we were. No cable no Internet no TV. I tried every reset possible without calling for service. Finally I did call for service what's the bad news it was going to be 48 hours before service rep could come to our premises. This is the reality of Comcast service. The product itself we like. HOWEVER when we need service the service is terrible. It is only because they have the highest internet speed available that we stick with Comcast. WORST SERVICE EVER! First...I make the appt for a Wed between 5-7. They send a tech out between 3-5. I call and complain, they tell me they will OVERNIGHT me the box free of charge and waive the self installation fee. I DID NOT get the box the next day, they sent it 2nd day AND the box is faulty. Are year ago I signed up for $29 a month with 25 Mbps and I was told that if I also signed up for auto pay an auto bill that I would be receiving a $10 discount and after that I would pay $39 a month. I have never in my entire life seen a company run so poorly. I have two accounts, one for business class internet and one for residential tv (since the business class tv doesn't have normal channels and residential internet does not allow web hosting). All I needed was a new cable box put in to a side room. In the process of installing this new box, the technician clipped the line that goes in to the house and in to the modem. This is the second time this has happened. This happened mid-day Friday and as soon as I found out what had happened I called comcast residential to complain about the problem. I got the same response this time that I did the last time, which is that it's comcast business' responsibility. I managed to speak to a supervisor after this and supposedly will have my next bill credited with $20 and would also have a tech out at 9am the following morning, Saturday. 10am Saturday morning comes around and no one has called or shown up, so I call and spend an hour on hold before getting someone. I am then told that there is no appointment scheduled but there is a note in the system about scheduling one. I then wait another hour for a supervisor. This supervisor SENDS AND EMAIL to the office in my area telling them to call me and set up an appointment. I'm told I should get a call within an hour. I hear nothing. Sunday morning comes around and I call comcast again and after a 20 minute hold get someone who tells me there is an appointment for Monday but there is no time set. I repeat my problem to her as I did all of the others I spoke to over the weekend and she tells me to hold so she can try and get someone out today. After holding for 5 or 10 minutes I get disconnected. I wait for a few minutes to see if she calls back and after no return call I call comcast business. I get someone on the phone within 2 minutes and start telling them the problem, they test my connection and tell me that the modem is showing online. I have no idea what they're talking about. Then they say it's offline. Then they run some more tests and tell me it looks like it's coming back on. Around this time my brother walks in from out back with some wire crimpers, a piece of coaxial cable with no ends on it, and tells me that he got tired of waiting for the internet ass holes to fix what they broke and fixed it himself. In the end comcast failed to do ANYTHING and my brother went and bought pieces to fix the line, along with the tools to fix it. Comcasts response was, oh good it's fixed. And then they tell me to have a nice day and hang up. read more

I was patched through to the West Palm Beach Comcast billing department to inquire about my bill. The woman, Rose badge number 10254711, cut me off repeatedly, was no help, and did not patch me through to another agent or supervisor when requested. I was contesting a charge 50, and some change, billed for August when I apparently DIDN'T EVEN HAVE Comcast wiring in my home. That agent at West Palm Beach was bad. Really. A woman came on the line who was barely understandable telling me there was a cable problem on the road and it would be corrected by 6PM. Came home from dinner out @9, still nothing. Called back again and this time a man said he was unaware of any outside cable problem. Said nothing could be done until Monday as this was New Years. I called back this morning and spoke with another representative who repeated the same thing from the Comcast Playbook. I spend $2800 a year with them and this is totally unacceptable service. The Comcast customer service center is the worst that I have ever experienced. To wit: their phone menu choices put you into a loop that you can't escape from. You have to hang up and redial and HOPE that you make the right choice. In the numerous calls and countless hours -that's right, hours not minutes - I have only worked with ONE CSR who knew how to help me. I have been transferred several times to "someone who can help you" and each one asked me to repeat my account number, name, address and mobile number. When I return to my condo next winter, I'll sign up with a communications company that offers two tomato cans and a line of string rather than stay with Comcast. read more

Why does Comcast continue to frustrate their customers and waste their corporate money by forcing their customers to return the Entire DTA units (the small remote control boxes they forced all of us to put on our TV's), when the most common deffective part is the remote control eye receiver?? The trouble, and time to the customer, and then the unecessary additional shipping weight cost to un-rig and re-rig a DTA unit, then ship it back (Comcast pays for the UPS shipping) is ridiculous. After switching service I questioned why receiving 2 bills & told "2 companies have nothing to do w/ each other"; I was annoyed to say the least b/ shame on me for not looking further into & I already signed contract w/ what they now call "xfinity mobile" & lol, no longer "xfinity"; I again heard add for xfinity mobile on recording as I held tonight w/ xfinity to again, figure out how to change service to be "new customer" again & only way was to get a land line & that would give me another pay channel & decrease my bill? Huh?!? I don't have a land line & have no need for one b/ if I accepted new land line I would get HBO added & decreased my bill by $20/ month, doesn't even make any sense?
