My internet went down all day yesterday idk why, I tried to fix it by resetting the router and…read moreeverything (something a neighbor had told me to do last time it went down) and eventually it came back on, while I was at work before all that I had sent an email asking taosnet for any assistance, when it came back on I was able to check that email and tell them it was back, they said it was good it was back but they hadn't done anything and my router was "not happy" and they wanted to replace it anyway, so I said okay why not thinking new=better, when they replaced it this morning I noticed that they never disclosed to me this new router would stop me from being able to change the password myself, Most isp lets you change your password and always has as far as I've seen and experienced, the one they set it as default leaves me very uncomfortable as it's the same as others in the complex one number off, it's extremely unsecure and not really what I agreed to when saying they could replace the router, upon asking them to change it back or to let me change the password again they started acting like I was breaking some policy or doing something sketchy and being really rude (In my opinion) saying I need permission to change the router back or for my own, they didn't ask permission to change the one out now but they do to change it back or for me to use my own since I didn't agree to theirs? I don't feel it's very fair but I also don't feel I did anything wrong, I also do streaming and sometimes need the technical side of the router to port forward things, a feature they took away without consent or notification, I just wanted normal Internet really, I currently just want to buy my own router and plug it in so I don't touch their thing (I don't want any trouble with any of that policy stuff)but still have my own password and my small streaming career back TLDR- I emailed them for help getting my internet back online, instead they took my working one and my privacy without consent or notification then took it upon themselves to paint me in a bad light to my landlords with an email because I wanted to just use my own and not deal with their nonsense. What makes Kit Carson look so bad is that they simply stopped answering their phone because I guess they got sick of people calling in outages. I called repeatedly and the phone just rang and rang. When I tried to get information on their web site, it appears that maybe it crashed. All you get a blank page. You have to wonder about a power company that is totally unprepared for a power outage and so uncaring as to not even be prepared to answer the phone or provide information on their web page. So, if Kit Carson doesn't care about providing electrical power, imagine how worried they'd be if your internet service provided by them failed!

So far they have been miserable to work with because I cannot order Dish at my condo because they wont return any of our calls.
