Do outages occur, yes, almost always due to electrical storms. Does W2N keep me informed, yes. Do they answer the phone and keep you advised by email, yes. Can you talk to a tech, yes. In 2022 government promised rural folks high speed internet. Over half-way through 2025, how is that working for you? One company was able to gobble up the contracts in this tri-state area and lots of counties, apparently with no penalties for glacial progress bordering on non-performance. Price: appears to be in the ballpark of what people are willing to pay and what providers want to make it worth doing the job. Would I like it free, sure. It remains true: there ain't no free lunch. I believe there is visible economic competition that won't let the price rise much. Over the past 20 years, I've tried 7 ISP, that I can name, virtually all of the possible ISP in my area. W2N is in the top tier. I have no connection with W2N and I wasn't asked to provide my opinion, nor did I receive any compensation from anyone. Just thought some balance in reviews was justified.

I've been a client of Piedmont Broadband for a few years, only because there is no other ISP other…read morethan satellite that can reach me. Early on, their service was terrible, very intermittent and went down a lot. After the biz changed hands about 18mnths ago, service got better, with less latency. Than they did some kind of upgrade to increase download speeds several weeks ago. Now have a bit higher download speeds at about 35GB but has a lot of latency now. SO my end user experience is now very poor, Latency is too high most times now to do any kind of internet gaming (which I was able to do before the upgrade) , video streaming is now flaky, video conferencing is now poor, and using a cell across it now drops packets all the time (when it didn't before). Now they tell me that its normal to have 30ms to 50ms pings. (which was usually around 20-30ms before upgrades) I installed a new wifi 6 mesh system as a possible resolution which made no difference. I see latency of 50 to 160ms now. I made 4 complaints about this since with no resolution!! Avoid this ISP is you can find other service in your area.

About a month ago my internet stopped working and stayed that way for a week straight. I called daily and was given the run around that it is a "server issue and will be fixed soon" but they could never tell me exactly when. I eventually talked to a technician who told me Gigstreem is actively trying to lose NetBlazr customers who were grandfathered into a lower price. That and they just don't care enough to pay for technicians to fix issues so anything that goes wrong takes weeks to fix. After a week of back and forth and no internet I cancelled my service and signed up with another company. The outage started at the start of July and I had paid for a full month of internet so I demanded a refund as the internet didn't work at all after I paid. I was told I would receive one but it never came. I called a dozen times over three weeks and was told "the finance team is working on it". Eventually I gave up and had to file a charge back with my credit card company. This internet provider is completely broken and doesn't care about you in any way. I hate to say it but even comcast is better and I really hate them. Stay far far away from this company.
