I have been to the Comcast support forum more times than I care to count; the issue is the well-known "long-running script." Comcast's response is to blame it on Internet Explorer. In the legal world this is known as the SODDI defense-- Some Other Dude Done It. During the winter my problems were blamed on frozen electricity in my home. Please don't laugh. That's what the technician told me. (I really do hate being treated like a chick.) He fixed that issue by replacing my set-top box with an older, brain-dead one incapable of looking any farther forward than 12 hours on the schedule-- unless it's to tell me that everything is To Be Announced.... How Very Helpful indeed. In any case, because my connection to the net is slower than I am, I get progressively dumber on Lumosity, and appear to be completely unable to complete a simple crossword puzzle in the allotted time, thereby demonstrating to the entire world that I have the verbal ability and vocabulary of an avocado. My only recourse is to Yelp, and to periodically write Nastygrams to some functionary with the incredible title of Vice President for Happy Customers, or some such nonsense. I do know his correct title, because I have it in my Comcrash file, which also includes the protocol for making formal complaint to the appropriate Federal agency. We don't pay for what we don't get, and we would pay even less if we could get away with it. I am seriously considering using rolled pennies once a year or so to pay what we are currently grudgingly coughing up.

I met Jon and asked him to take a look at the problem. He responded promptly and offered an immediate solution to our poor connectivity. He also suggested a hardware improvement that would further speed our connection. When the hardware was available, Jon quickly responded, installing the improvement. We now enjoy great phone and computer service. Jon has always been on time and delivered what he offered. His service was timely and a very fair value. This company is a pleasure to work with.

At Off-Grid Internet Solutions, we believe in the importance of face-to-face human interaction. While other companies continue to move to less human interaction and more AI, we are offering our in-person help for your technical needs. We believe every situation is unique. We take a customized approach to ensure each and every customer we serve is getting the solution that best fits their needs, even if that solution is not one of our own such as Starlink. We are well equipped to properly and completely install, calibrate and configure Starlink (including roof mounting and cable routing). In addition to our internet solutions, other services we offer include setting up wifi network and devices, live TV/streaming, troubleshooting technical issues, providing one-on-one lessons and tutorials on how to use or setup devices, and general technical support, both in-person and virtual.

Do outages occur, yes, almost always due to electrical storms. Does W2N keep me informed, yes. Do they answer the phone and keep you advised by email, yes. Can you talk to a tech, yes. In 2022 government promised rural folks high speed internet. Over half-way through 2025, how is that working for you? One company was able to gobble up the contracts in this tri-state area and lots of counties, apparently with no penalties for glacial progress bordering on non-performance. Price: appears to be in the ballpark of what people are willing to pay and what providers want to make it worth doing the job. Would I like it free, sure. It remains true: there ain't no free lunch. I believe there is visible economic competition that won't let the price rise much. Over the past 20 years, I've tried 7 ISP, that I can name, virtually all of the possible ISP in my area. W2N is in the top tier. I have no connection with W2N and I wasn't asked to provide my opinion, nor did I receive any compensation from anyone. Just thought some balance in reviews was justified.

Even though I couldn't stay due to having to pick up my daughter, Jessica was more than willing to stay late to help me. I told her I would come back the next day, so she gave me her card saying she was not going to be working, but if I wanted, she would come in to help me. I called her Wednesday afternoon and we set up a time to meet at the store. I'm so glad I made that call! When I told her I had decided to go with an iphone (100.00 less than the phone we had looked at the night before) she immediately supported my decision and switched gears to help me find the best phone for my needs. She also showed me a plan that would allow me to get the new phone and keep my bill basically the same. She spent a full 3 hours with me, answering questions, setting up my new phone, helping me to transfer data from my old phone, downloading applications, setting up new accounts, basically making sure I that when I left the store I would be a confident first time iphone user. I was impressed by the way in which Jessica and the other employee ( Mr. Sugars) supported each other by sharing knowledge, his being more extensive of iphones, to make sure I got accurate information. Based on my experience; I would without hesitation, recommend that anyone looking for a new phone work with Jessica Cruz. I found her to be highly professional, yet extremely friendly and personable with exceptional customer service skills. (Mr. Sugars also gets high marks from me)
