The huevos rancheros were terrible. I almost never send food back but it was nothing like I expected and smelled like feet when I got it. They used powdered eggs and just goofed everything together on top of the tortillas. The tortillas were so hard you couldn't cut them with a knife. After a nice hike nearby we came here for lunch. Loved the crepe cafe take but don't be fooled they offer more such as panini's, sandwiches, lattes, pastries, and etc. However, I decided on a savory and sweet crepe. For savory I made my own and went with mushroom, spinach, and Swiss cheese. The veggies could've been cooked down more but overall it was enjoyable. It wasn't too big because I was able to eat my sweet crepe. For my sweet crepe I went with the Bonnie & Clyde, which for me was Nutella and bananas. I really love that combination. The crepe was soft enough to cut through and fill my fork with equal parts Nutella and banana. When we came for lunch they were busy. Apparently if you are planning to dine in you should sit at a table and a waiter will come take your order, not sure how consistent that is. All we're pretty good however, we ordered a crêpe and never got it, which was the only problem we had the breakfast sandwiches really good. I know the grape would've been good as well. We stopped by for takeout and got a Nutella strawberry crepe, as well as a savory one, the come and take it crepe! Both were good, but the savory one was definitely one of the best I've had, and they didn't skimp on the portions at all! Food was delicious. We got the Bonnie and Clyde crepe, the bacon egg and cheese croissant, and the American breakfast. All three dishes were great, just teas and a lemonade so can't speak on the coffee but it did look good. Service was good and the atmosphere was nice for a quiet little Sunday breakfast. It's one of those little gems that's a hole in the wall, plenty of parking though which was a relief since it's on the square and you never know how busy it will be on a given day. They had a lot of coloring books and books for children to entertain them which is so nice to see since it's becoming more and more rare that places offer that for parents. read more

They had a very large to-go order that was put in during the time between when we ordered our meal and when we ordered the dessert crepes. Come and Crepe It is an amazing little crepe place located at the heart of downtown Gonzales. The crepes are generously filled, delicious and very affordable. Their coffee is generally good (it doesn't compete with genuine coffee shops in larger cities but it's remarkably better than everything else I've had in Gonzales, by a long shot) and the owner is this super friendly guy who'll remember you and wave at you whenever you come back. The only thing that could knock out a star is the service - some employees are amazing, but some seem to struggle every now and then. It's a small town and good food is scarce in Gonzales... so in the spirit of celebrating and promoting the restaurants that push the boundaries of good quality food, acting as trailblazers in their communities, I think Come and Crepe It deserves its whole 5 stars! This place is really great. I now come here quite often. If you are hungry, I suggest an omelette. If your tastebuds need sweet , they have suggested crepes or you can design your own. I like lemon curd w strawberries and whipped cream. Their espresso drinks are fabulous too. The whipped cream is the genuine heavy thick whipped cream not some substitute. Fresh is all they do here. Can't say enough good things about this place but I'll go ahead and try! It was our first time here let alone in Gonzalez and this place easy enough to find. With ample street parking, we pulled right up and walked right in. So for those of you who may not know, they have take out and sit down. If you just want to take out, you can order right at the register, but if you want to sit down and dine in, you can help yourself to an open seat. We had Precious as our server and she was great (more to come on her later). Let's talk food. Crepes were amazingly priced! For the portions they serve. This could easily be $1-2$ more than what they are asking for. We got the gmorning sunshine which was like a breakfast omelet in a crepe. So good esp if you are hungry and want something filling. We also tried the chicken florentine and that was the star of the show! Big pieces of chicken and the sauce they used complimented it well. Lastly we tried the pecan pie and the cream cheese was fluffy and worked well with the crunchy pecans. Overall the place was great! Precious took her time to check up on us and give us time to order. She recommended some local favorites and even made sure to tell us where the restroom was. Because of her great customer service, I definitely want to come back and try more items! If I lived in Gonzales TX I'd be in major trouble having access to this establishment because I'd be there all the time! The cook, you see him cooking right in front of you the whole time. The food is outstanding! Unbelievable! I didn't want my crepe to end. This little restaurant is one of my favorite places to come with my daughter. She always gets the Bonnie and Cylde (strawberry and banana with Nutella crepe) I always get a omelet made to order! I love the spicy red sauce. The French toast looks amazing! Coffee? It's great and the owner always makes a picture with the froth. We are kinda spoiled there! you can see them cooking as the chef is cooking in front of you! It's a great place to go if you are visiting Gonzales.
