My friend and I literally just came here to use there bathroom after driving a long while (which was spacious and clean by the wa), but this place was soo cute! Bookstore, coffeeshop, and gift shop all in one. In what looks like a refurbished home. Every room was uniquely designed. I loved the the wallpaper in the coffeeshop room. Great store to peruse for treating yourself or for gift giving. And a bookstore with a pretty good size collection and categoriesfor it not to be a library or chain store. I was pleasantly surprised to see a black history month display of book, how inclusive. They also had a kids corner area. And there was what looked like a book club group chit chatting in the back. Lots of little nooks and space both inside and out. If I lived in this town I could easily see myself making this one of my fav places. read more

This is the cutest cafe/bakery/bookstore in Seguin, Texas! I want to visit Seguin again just for this spot! The inside of the cafe just feels so cute and cozy. I loved browsing through their books and some handcrafted goods. I only ordered a bruschetta style plate with poached eggs and a side of fruit. Next time I will make sure to have a cup of coffee and set aside more time to relax. Highly recommend stopping by if you are in town or driving through! read more

This little corner bookstore/wine bar/coffee shop cafe has everything you'd need to spend the day relaxing and reading amongst friends. Ordered the usual: decaf flat white with heavy cream. A small wait, as the place is busy on a Sunday afternoon. Plenty of opportunity to browse the shelves of books and such. Y'all, the short wait is worth it- this is a perfect cup! Ratios are just right! Hot and steamy, with a very flavor-forward coffee that cuts thru the richness of the cream and soaks your mouth in deliciousness. 5/5 excellent! Visiting from out of state we came with my elderly aunt that always raves about pecantown books and brews and I totally understand why. We came for Saturday brunch with a very travel wary 10 year old that was walking a tight rope emotionally and the owner was right on it trying to find ways to help turn his mood because no one wants their kid to be a mood in front of elders. A bowl of their amazing popcorn and some fresh fruit and I had a new child. I had the arugula salad and it was perfection as well as my super cute latte. The vibe was immaculate. The bookstore is just so darling with a great variety and we also picked up some coffee and a magnetic bookmark. Very cute place for a business meeting or to catch up with a friend. The food was fresh and made to order and sandwiches are on their homemade focaccia bread. My toddler was not a fan of the pizza on focaccia bread (toddlers and their tastes), so I wish there was something else for her (they only had PB&J as another kids option). This place is very cute ...but definitely a bit different. Walking in we were greeted as if we knew what they had and what to expect..we didn't. It was our first time..Food was delicious.. they seemed to be out of a lot of things.. after a few no's they ended up figuring out there was one last bowl of soup?? well worth it. It was delicious. The americano was a bit strong and the lavender steamer was good. The lady who came to check on us was very sweet seemed to be the owner she was the only light in this place. Decor was very cute. Pecantown Books and Brews is a wonderful addition to Seguin's little downtown area. The little book store / coffee shop / beer on tap hybrid is inviting and beautifully decorated. It supports local authors and holds several cultural events each year for young readers and kids. It's a very wholesome place, and I'm so happy small businesses that care about their community still exist in this day and age of online shopping and disappearing social gathering places. I visited Pecantown for the first time over a year ago, not too long after they had opened. While the food was good, I was disappointed at the time that they didn't serve any freshly made coffee. When I came back a year later to try them again, I was pleased to discover that they added a bunch of espresso drinks to the menu. I'm also happy to report that they know how to operate an espresso machine and, as a result, their coffees are good! They surpassed my expectations. Go Pecantown! Best coffee shop in Seguin, hands down! Their pastries are locally sourced and extremely delish. I particularly recommend the scones, but everything I've ordered so far has been great, so there seems to be no wrong choices. Their sandwiches are also pretty tasty. Met with some girlfriends for our book club chats. We had a caprese sandwich, the lavender lemon bars (which was so good I ate it before I could even get a photo), some sangria, and some lattes. EVERYTHING was delicious, the vibe was wonderful and relaxing, and we were able to shop around for books before we left. We really wish it would stay open later, especially for the summer. It has such a cute outdoors space that we would have wanted to sit at just as they were closing since the summer heat was wearing down. This is the best non-Asian or Mexican restaurant in Seguin. I almost felt like I was in Fredericksburg until I pinched myself and woke up in Seguin. It is both a bookstore and a restaurant, hence that ambiance that made me think of Fredericksburg, but the cuisine is best described as American home-cooked. The Pecan books and brew, is so good if you haven't been there, you are missing out!
