Been back here a few times. Few for tickets. This time I came for the insurance discount because the last 2 times were not that bad. The content and videos are updated regularly and also interesting. The instructor makes it fun and digestible too. He's witty and it helps the 6 hours go by with ease. I'd rather go in and take the class versus trying to self pace on line although online is cheaper. Obviously like most, I needed to take this class to satisfy the city of league city's municipal court requirements and resuscitate my perfect driving record after pleading nolo contendre to driving 35 mph in a 25 mph zone. With a perfect driving record, it might've be appropriate to give the driver a warning, but so goes life. Moving on, this class was not only interesting and often amusing but it was an excellent review of some of the subtleties of driving. Dwight, our instructor, was great. He was knowledgeable of the content, punctual, approachable, and has a keen wit. The six hour day went by more quickly than I would've imagined. This review is for the online class. You can't get any better than Comedy Driving for Texas driver training. I went to American Safety Council through an affiliate and got hosed for all of my money (Never sent my certificate and refused to answer the phone!), and after that experience these Comedy Driving has me star struck! You WILL get screwed by any other brand. Use this school. I took the course yesterday and my certificate is in the mail today with a courier service AND a tracking number. I paid a little extra for the expedited service and they are making it happen. I also called yesterday just to confirm some information. Answered right away, answered my questions, and today I'm finished with the course and my certificate is on the way. I didn't have to call, I received e-mail confirmation automatically. Thank you Comedy Driving! Oh, and the course itself is stellar. It had me chuckling and it was silly, but the time went by quickly and I learned A LOT. It has made me a more aware and safer driver. I took the online course, It took me about 2 days to complete. Like most of you I received so many solicitations in the mail. So many to choose from so I came to Yelp. I read the reviews and decided to roll with Comedy Driving.I'm glad I did. Here's what I like about Comedy Driving. 1. Easy to navigate online course. 2. I needed to call them a few times and was blown away by the extraordinary customer service. The reps were super nice and even checked to be sure I had the correct court. Turns out I had it incorrect. (Kudos for that) 3. It had some funny moments, but it wasn't boring. 4. I actually learned something. 5. There's a test at the end of each chapter, it helps a lot. While it's still fresh in your mind. 6. I picked the regular mail option and received my certificate the next day. Overall, I would choose Comedy Driving again. read more

I was really dreading sitting in a six hour class with other criminals and a comedian, but it wasn't bad at all. I hope I don't ever have to come back but in case I do, I would probably do the online course. This was the easiest course I've taken since state penn, I mean penn state. Our course director, Ray, was quite funny. He would talk with us, put on a video and then come back and talk to us about the video. The statistics of drivers in Houston is astounding. Harris County has the highest alcohol and road rage violations in the nation. I learned a lot from this course that I wasn't expecting. Between lunch and two fifteen minute breaks, the time went by fast. If there is one vital component I have taken from this course, is that when I am behind the wheel of my car this is my job. My job is to get me and my passengers safely to our destination. I know I will be a much safer driver today because of this course. Thank you very much Ray! I just completed the online course and was disappointed. The animations were cheesy, the character voices were obnoxious, and most of the videos you have to watch were very boring and dated. The last video on drunk driving was very good though. I didn't expect great entertainment from a driving course, and for $25 I guess it wasn't too painful. The worst part, however, was that the site navigations kept re-directing me to a blank page, which either caused me to get test questions incorrect (this happened twice), or made me watch videos repeatedly. I also want to add that it didn't seem like a 6 hour course because they break it up into several sections and sub-sections. It went by quick, and you could log in and out at your convenience. I completed the course over 2 days, with many breaks, and it seemed to fly by. read more

This course is not funny, and at times offensive. Every animated woman has oddly large breasts, and the jokes will make you hate your time wasted with the defensive driving course more than other courses. The most annoying thing is the 'multimedia' questions. They aren't test questions, and they will ask you inane things like, what was playing on the tv in the background of the last clip? What color shirt was the man wearing? OMG, who cares! Just ask me about driving and get on with it. I do not recommend this class. I've gone another course with getdefensive.com and it was pretty good (as far as online DD courses go). The test questions are so easy, you don't have to pay attention at all - take that one instead. read more

Having to take a 6 hour class because of a careless decision of speeding is frustrating. I mean that is 6 hours wasted that could of been used for other productive task. Although I could of done an online class, I decided to take the class with Comedy Driving because I didn't trust myself with procrastinating. I have to say, it was the best decision I made because I not only received an educational lesson but I got a good laugh out of it. My professor, Dwight, was hilarious and very informational. AVOID this course like the plague! I took the online course and spent about an hour (so far, I'm in chapter 8 of 11) dealing with malfunctions in the program. Phone in customer service is useless! I'm about 4 hours, plus one problem hour, into the course and want my money back AND to continue to finish the last two hours, however laborious, to get this damn thing done. They are refusing my refund request. If they refund my money they say they will cancel my course entirely! Bullshit company, bullshit course! read more

This is definitely the way to go about defensive driving. The classes take either 6 hours over one day or 3 hours/day for two days in a row, so times are pretty convenient. The classes are much better than doing it online, and I've done both. Dwight is funny and makes it less painful/helps the time fly by.
