ABSOLUTELY NEVER USE THIS CREDIT LINE COMPANY EVER. After buying some flooring and signing up for their credit line, I had always planned on paying off the flooring in one go. I asked the flooring teller multiple times if I could just pay off the credit line in store and they told me no, you have to wait for your credit card. So I waited, and having moved into a new house of course it dropped from my brain. Fast forward a month, I still have not received a credit card, I received one email statement but when I go to login online I need an account number, or my credit card number (which of course I still do not have). I call in to request another card, and even ask the lady if there is anyway to pay off the card and she says no, just wait for your card. I finally receive it, pay off the entire credit line, and move on with my life. Fast forward a couple of days and I get a credit report notification that my credit score went down EIGHTY-THREE POINTS. Are you serious? I have worked for YEARS paying off all my credit cards on time to have a credit score over 750 and now in seconds they DESTROYED IT. After talking with many family members who also used commenity, I hear that cards are often lost, mail is not ever received, interest rates keep going up, and people are only contacted once it is too late. I even have a deferred interest promotional plan, so I had until November 2022 to pay off without interest which obviously was another LIE! What a bunch of SCAMMERS! I will be screaming from the rooftops and going anywhere, everything I can to leave an honest review of this company! You can destroy someone's life by destroying their credit, and that is what has happened here today! HORRIBLE VILE company! Dishonest! NEVER use them! read more

This bank will not do anything to help you out, and all they care about is that they get their money. DO NOT GWT A CREDIT CARD THROUGH THEM. I was screwed over by, for some reason, having a remaining balance of $58 left on a 12 month promotional period where my husband bought my wedding band. We paid all of our payments and the last one had more left than what our payments required. We didn't pay the extra $58 dollars and were going to just pay the interest on that and pay it off the following month. I woke up this morning to $500 in interest charged to my account. No one I spoke to could help me. They admitted the finance charge could be waived, but "just because I had intent to pay isn't enough. It's black and white." I was spoken to condescendingly and told it was my fault and there's nothing they WILL do. Absolute garbage money hungry bank and people. read more

I received a 0% balance transfer offer for my Total Rewards Comenity credit card. The flyer stated that it expired April 15, 2017 so I called late on April 14, 2017 asking if I could do it on the 15th since I was exhausted from a very long day. The rep said that I could do it on the 15th so I went to bed. The next morning I tried to do my balance transfer and guess what?! It didn't work. Then I called to inquire again and they told me that they would honor the 0% transfer since the previous rep gave me misinformation. Six days letter I received a letter stating that they couldn't do the balance transfer because it was no longer available. BOTTOM LINE: If you are unclear what "Use it by APRIL 15, 2017" means... then let me explain it to you. It means by midnight April 15th. Hope this helps you since ain't nobody has time to pay interest! read more

I have 3 store cards using this bank. I like using the cards to get the store discount and paid the card off a few days later. On to of the card there was a $2 fee. I didn't receive the bill or email of this balance on the card. I only found out when I was trying to the card. The charge now was $22. On 1 of the cards it was 2 days late and was charged additional $24 for fees. For the pass 3 days my payment has been in processing. I keeping checking back even though the site are slow and consistently closes. So if you have a card though this bank, check your account monthly even if you know you have a zero balance. That $2 charge adds up fast. read more

Wife applied for a "William & Sonoma Visa Card" while in the store. The clerk spelled her name Kellogb rather than Kellogg - her SSN was correct as well as her Driver License information. She was rejected for the card because folks at Comenity Bank did not use their common sense or judgment to see the obvious spelling error of her last name. So would you want to do business with these folks? read more

Customer service is very bad. I was pushed to get a credit card through Ulta Beauty, turns out it is Comenity Bank. I didn't receive the credit card so I called them. They verified my SS#, my DOB, address and phone #. So they want me to mail them copy of my Driver Lisc and Utility bill in order to verify who I am because they have my old address. Most companies now you can send them copy of things to verify. Comenity bank wants me to verify through mail and send them a letter. They are stuck in the 1980's and now we are in 21st Century. With the age of Iphone, Androids things are so much easier. Please please don't sign up for Comenity bank credit card. They are nuisance and headache and waste of time. They make things complicated. read more

Hard Money Lender with Unethical Practices.... We should all do a class action lawsuit against this bank. There practice is not ethical. My bank (BillPay) paid my bill one day before the cut-off date, making for two payments in a month instead of the payment going for the next month in which the payment was made. They charged me a $27.00 late fee because the payment was received one day before the cut-off day. I called and was advised that I had to send a letter, I sent the letter to be advised that I wasn't eligible for a waiver. The account was paid off in the last payment but, I keep getting billed for the $27 plus (fees on top of the late payment). This has to be bad practice.. one day and you can't give me the courtesy. I called and spoke to several people and not one person had common sense to see what took place. I want them brought up on charges because this is how they are making their money by shady ethical practices. read more

I received two voicemails yesterday from Comenity Bank claiming that I owed money on a dental procedure and that if they didn't hear back from me they would take legal action. The only dental procedure I've had recently is a cleaning, which I paid for in full. I called them back to let them know they had the wrong person and was told that unless I provided confidential, personal information, like my social security number they could not pursue a fraud claim and that I would continue to receive harassing phone calls from them. I spoke with what sounded like two women. One was named Lee and the last, worst to the extent that she was actually yelling at me, was named T. T refused to provide her last name. This all feels and sounds like a scam to me and I want others to be aware. read more

I changed my address because I moved. That was my ONLY mistake. The moment I reported my address change, they put a hold on the account "for security purposes", then asked for copies of my driver's license, SS Card, Utility Bills, other bank credit card statements just to prove that I lived at my new address. Rather unorthodox, but I complied despite never having this type of experience with any other bank. After doing so, I get a notification from Experian that they've "closed" my account because they had "concerns" and cited "a security risk", one which they refused to share with me. So I get transferred to a superior once I request their subpoena address. The supervisor - Courtney - was the only bright spot in an otherwise horrible experience. When I explained and asked questions for details citing that I had rights to know under FCRA, she was quite sorry but couldn't help me or change the status. I did get the subpoena address, and concluded the call. Bear in mind that I didn't apply to Comenity, it was transferred in when Gander Mountain changed their card relationship. So I figured that was it, I'll pay it off and be done, but...wait... After 40 minutes on the phone with 3 people, the last being Courtney, I get a phone call from a Columbus number. It's Courtney again. This time, she reviewed the information and re-opened the account since she disagreed with the decision on the documentation. Honestly, right outcome but I went through a lot of hostile agents to get to this as a resolution. Do they deserve the reputation they've gotten? Probably. They've not been fun to deal with and frankly the customer service is downright rude in most cases -- these people hate their jobs, it shows. But then you get someone like Courtney who probably gets it and does the right thing by the customer. So definitely not 5 stars, but not quite 1 stars (or zero) either given the final outcome. But they do need to start treating the customer with kindness since retailers read these reviews (check their BBB rating) and should consider the impact this has on customers of the retailers themselves. read more

RUN don't walk away from this bank. I opened a card and was charged a late fee when I clearly, wasn't late. They reimbursed me the charge and then tacked on interest charge with the same amount. I cannot get thru to CS and they don't give a hoot anyway beings they are in another country and are completely unregulated. This bank is a JOKE. We had a credit card transferred from Barclay to Comenity a couple months ago. New cards didn't work for ANYONE - had to reissue. System has been down the entire time - can't access our statements online. They can't email a statement but can mail one in 7 - 10 business days even though our payment is due in a week. It's a joke and frustrating and I will cancel once if I can ever figure out what I owe. If you have a choice (we didn't) stay FAR FAR AWAY - they are AWFUL!!! read more

I have been struggling with Comenity bank from Maurices clothing store for almost a year. I made a purchase in August 2021 for $138. I paid that charge on time with my personal bank on line bill payor. Since this time, I have received and forwarded to them my payment receipt showing the date, the transaction ID, my contact from the bank and her contact number. I have forwarded all this information to Comenity. I have filed two disputes with all the credit card services in regards to this bill. Comenity has called sent invoices but cannot seem to trace my payment made to them. They apparently have no one available to trace an online payment nor do they care to Reconcile it. After supplying the three credit card services with my dispute, I did receive a credit invoice with a zero balance back in February. They recently have started billing me again and calling me again. It never gets resolved they can't seem to find the payment and that is all my problem. How can a bank service company not know how to reconcile accounts and check the transaction codes? It is been the most ridiculous, exhausting experience and they are holding my credit history hostage! NEVER WILL I EVER USE THEIR SERVICES AGAIN. Sarah Peltonen read more

On November 17, 2022 I paid off my full balance of $55.28 electronically through People First Federal Credit Union. The payment was not due until November 21. On November 26. I got a phone call from a representative at comenity bank advising me that I did not make a payment. I was charged a fee of $29 along with a two dollar service fee/interest. The representative advised me that if I make a full payment over the phone immediately that the fees would be dropped. several days later, I did check my account online and noticed that the fees were not dropped. I had to call the bank again to address the fees. I was advised that the fees would be dropped. In the meantime, I did make some other transactions. with purchases I made at Burlington in the store. I also returned an item to Burlington for $9.99. I then had a refund balance of $10.53. I then called Comenity to send me a refund check. Which I did receive in the mail several weeks later. last week I went online to check my account again and noticed that I had a two dollar balance.. I then called the company again, and advised a gentleman to remove that two dollar fee and close my account which he agreed to. Several days ago I received a letter from Comenity Advising me that my account was closed, but I was still responsible for the two dollar fee. today I called and spoke to Marta, who advised me she would get rid of the two dollar fee with a lot of pushback. I advised her that I plan on contacting the Better Business Bureau. Here when I went online and finished my review with the Better Business Bureau. it allowed me to pull up other complaints With this company. It appears that other customers are having the same issues, especially over the last several months. I contacted the attorney generals office regarding my concerns and was advised by Bryan that only my complaint can be addressed by filing a formal complaint online which I did. today I called Comenity regarding my boscov's credit card rewards and a 15 % discount I should have gotten. They told me I needed to call boscovs cs Dept directly and have them email them about the discount. I spoke to Mandy and she said I should have gotten the discount. Mandy made a three-way call to Comenity. After I waiting on hold for approximately 15 minutes. A supervisor finally came to the phone. And we got disconnected as soon as she answered. My issues were never resolved. The supervisor never called me back. I am really concerned about the way that this company is handling things. My current FICO score is 814. The unexpected charges without reasonable explanations or resolutions can truly affect me long-term. I plan on contacting the FBI tomorrow. read more

I have decided to close my express.com account due to many mistakes and unanswered calls. The credit card company connected with express is the comenity bank. This business is not a liable company in terms of refunds and account changes. I called the company to dispute a $27 late fee and eventually they credited $15 part of the fee. After numerous phone calls one of the managers credited the rest of the late fee $12 which went directly into my bank account. After closing my account I received a $12 charge when I received with my statement. I guess I was charged after I closed my account....I did not think they are able to close an account with a balance or charge a card after closing it? For over the last two weeks I've been trying to get in touch with a customer service representative without any luck. The bill is due in a few days and I cannot make a phone call or make a payment or get online because my account has been closed. Also nobody picks up the phone. This is the worst business I had to deal with in my life so far. If you do not want headaches please don't sign up with express.com No questions for why such a low number of happy customers who reviewed this company. After my experience with express.com and comenity bank I suggest to customers to shop at the different companies not Express. They will have better customer service, better deals, and better merchandise selection. Comenity bank takes advantage of customers money and "eats" their free time. It is a waste of time trying to contact this unreliable and unprofessional bank. read more

What a freaking joke. I have late fees and finance charges because I never received my card. I didn't even know my card was through Comenity until it showed on my credit report so I had no way to call to let them know card had never been received. Called on 1/23...was told payment was due on 1/21. I NEVER recieved my card or acct # to make a payment. Was told card would be resent and late fee would be removed. Fast forward to 2/4 finally received card in yesterday's mail. Created an account and made a payment. Guess what, late fee still on account. Called again, I can removed $15. HELL NO!! I WAS TOLD THE WHOLE LATE FEE WILL BE REMOVED! I will be waiting until that is credited, make final payment and the close the account while saying read more

This company sucks. My wife made a payment on time through Bank of America and was assessed a late fee. We wrote a letter to them asking that it be removed. They refused. We asked them to close the account, but they are still billing us late fees on late fees. We are not going to pay. The representative that handled our account is one Zachary Biel. He is stupid and lacks compassion. He is a real jerk. He represents the worst of the worst at any financial institution. The world does not need people like him. If I could give comenity bank 1 star I would. They are charging me $140 in late fees (sending the payment on time) I have spoken to several representatives and supervisors and get a different story each time. 1- We are under staffed snd don't have enough personnel to process the payments. 2- We recently switched banks and your bank account has changed. 3- The facility you are sending the payments to was destroyed by a storm and we have a new processing center. 4- This one was the best-(supervisor Erica) I dont know who you have spoken to and there are notes on your account of what you have told me but none of that is true we have not changed banks and you need to pay the late payment fees, I am truly sorry for your inconvenience. Lol. Apparently after reading many other reviews this is what comenity bank does. The charge you ridiculous fees and they don't like it when you pay in full. Oh almost forgot to mention that I paid the last payment in full in November and then to my surprise saw it had been cancelled by them. They are saying I cancelled it and then said we'll your bank must have cancelled it. I will never again do business with Comenity bank also known as Capital bank, Alliance data. Chairman Ron Ostler should be ashamed of the company practices he represents. read more

Like many of us today we are running into hardships due to COVID, increase in prices EVERYWHERE, High Medical Insurance premiums, Deductibles and Out of Pocket expenses, Health expenses, and divorce. For me personally, it is High Medical Insurance Deductibles and Out of Pocket expenses, Health expenses, and divorce. With divorce comes the loss of a second income and a lifestyle you became accustomed to. With age comes new health issues, which come with high deductibles and OOP expenses. I had to decide whether to pay for a doctor or make a Credit card payment. I have several with Comenity and Synchrony. I decided to stop paying on 4 cards to meet my deductible and other medical expenses to avoid losing my job. Never realizing when I made that decision all 4 cards were with Synchrony. As per my Comentiy accounts, I kept on making my monthly installments. So, my Credit score would not suffer all negative reports and have some good ones come in as well. I miss payments for 3 months and now that I am feeling better, seeing the doctor les,s and starting a new year, I took it upon myself to reach out to Synchrony to make arrangements to get back on track. Never had I been treated with such compassion. The good thing was I dealt with one Representative MACK, who was so understanding. He had all late fees removed from my account and reimbursed. He proceeded to work with me to come up with a fixed payment amount I could afford. They were awesome. Now about Comenity Bank!!!! As I worked on my budget and goals for the new year, I contacted Comenity to get exact account balances. To find out that while I was making timely payments to them, they lowered my credit limit on several cards because they saw my credit score drop due to the late payments to Synchrony. As anyone who cares about their credit knows it is highly recommended to use one-third of your credit limit, so your Credit Score won't suffer negatively. In lowering my credit limit to the existing balance on the accounts. My credit score suffered a huge impact as it now records, I am utilizing over ninety percent of my limit. When I complained they said they also have Customer Service Assistance for hardships. I asked, "what good is that to me if I have zero late payment history" He did not know what to say but they were unaware of my hardship. Why would I have to report to them if I am making timely payments? It makes me wonder if they would have treated me with the same compassion, respect, understanding, and patience as Synchrony did. I DOUBT IT! Synchrony honored my hardship and did not lower any credit limits aside from the fact that I was delinquent for 3 months on four accounts. I will pay off those accounts however I will not use them again. They can linger in my credit report as accounts paid with a low credit limit and a zero balance for the rest of my days or until they choose to close, their accounts. Comenity is about themselves while Synchrony understood that hardship happens to the best of us in hard times like we're experiencing right now, and they are willing to help. Comenity you all need to take human compassion lessons from Synchrony!!! Shame on you! read more

Worst card you'll ever have they don't even deserve a one star rating. For any prudent customer who is not willing to have a credit card company ruined their credit score, my advice for you is to run as far away from this specific company because they will steal your money and ruin your credit score. I open this card at a retail store, paid the cost of my purchase with my debit card, few months after the card was issued I got a bill for the product I had purchased when I had applied for the credit card, which I had already made there within the store. I contacted them and it was not rectified, then I went on to make the payments before the due date, didn't complain and I had them close the account. To my surprise, I was being charged late fees because apparently they never cleared my payments on time even tho I made more than the due amount before the due date. since they never cleared my account I was charged late fees months after months after reviewing my credit report because I had noticed a negative impact. Long story short I was made to pay unnecessary late fees which was due to their doing while they also negatively impacted my credit score. Word of advice, run as far away as possible from this credit card company. I have 7 credit cards with over $80K combined limits and by far this is the worst experience I have had from a credit card company. Worst card you'll ever own. read more

Terrible Comenity Bank bought the VISA card service for AAA. Nothing but problems. First, they didn't notify me of the transition from B of A. Then they sent me new VISA cards on somebody's closed accounts. You wait 30 mins. on hold after pressing 0 on your phone as no option relates to your problem. Then a rep comes on that you truly cannot understand. I had to get a AAA manager on a three-way call to get a valid set of cards that they promised to expedite. A week later they came in the mail and I set up an online account to activate. I did so but was declined at various merchants. Long story short, I called to have a finance charge reimbursed because I was offered a solution previously by a rep that would remedy it. I had spoke with an extremely deceptive supervisor from their IKEA card customer service, who blantantly lied that the information which I received during a previous recorded conversation with a rep never happened despite her reviewing the recorded call. I called her idiotic bluff and insisted that if she claims that it was never offered despite the fact that I know for sure that I confirmed that specific information numerous times during that previous call, then she would review the recorded call together with me. She paused, then offered me the reimbursement I was seeking. Regardless, I asked her to review the recorded call, which she absolutely refused to do. She quickly rushed me off the call sounding just as condescending as she did when she first picked up. I got on my soap box about how this was the worst service I've ever experienced and that her behavior was completely unprofessional and inappropriate. To that she retorted, "you're welcome, have a nice day!" I'm contemplating whether or not I'll report this to the BBB. read more

I had the misfortune of having my credit card account acquired by Comenity. Certainly, nobody in their right mind should never voluntarily open an account with them. Problems with them range from the irritating to what I would consider fraudulent business practices on their part. One only need look at other reviews to see the host of complaints. On the irritating side, they don't even have an app, so you have to log on to a webpage every time you want to do anything. What a waste of time and inconvenience! On the more serious side, I just spent nearly half a year fighting with them over a charge that I disputed back in May (2020). I made a purchase, had the merchant cancel, but then refuse to issue anything other than a credit. I disputed to the highest level with the merchant to no avail and, to my dismay, found the bank uninterested in pursuing this at all or taking my dispute seriously. So much for the online purchase protection that we supposedly have when making purchases with a credit card. All of my appeals to Comenity and the documentation I provided appear to have gone into the circular file. Their only response was to repeatedly tell me to contact the merchant. I tried to convince them that we should be on the same side, and should both be fighting the unethical business practices of the merchant, but it's clear that they have no interest in protecting the interests of their clients or their own business reputation. read more

I recently faced a challenging situation with Comenity Bank that has left me in a dire position, and I feel compelled to share my experience. I have been a customer of Comenity Bank, holding a DELL PAY credit card that unfortunately switched to Comenity Bank from Dell Financial Services. Unfortunately, after a dispute with their customer care representatives, my account was flagged for fraud when I was trying to request a letter from them that my mortgage company was requesting. Despite providing them with my driver's license, social security card, and W2, all with my current address, Comenity Bank permanently closed my account, citing an inability to validate my identity. The timing of this closure couldn't be worse, as it jeopardizes the closing of my mortgage, putting my home purchase at risk. I have invested significant time and financial resources into the closing process, and the consequences of this account closure are severe. What adds to the frustration is the lack of responsiveness and assistance from Comenity Bank during this critical period. The urgency of my situation is not being adequately acknowledged, and I am left in a state of distress. I sincerely hope that others can learn from my experience. If you're considering Comenity Bank for your financial needs, I would caution you to be aware of the potential challenges you may face, particularly in times of dispute or urgency. read more

Please be advised that these reviews are accurate. I have had my Victoria Secret card through Comenity Bank for several years. My card remained active when my credit score was at it's lowest and my credit card debt, with other creditors, was at it's highest. However, I remained in good standing with my Victoria Secret card. Now that my overall credit card debt has decreased drastically and my score has increased drastically I was notified, through CreditKarma, that my account with Comenity Bank was closed. I initially contacted Victoria Secret and was told that my account was closed due to findings with my credit report. Please keep in mind that in return this made my credit score drop 33 points! I contacted the credit bureau, with whom they reported me to, and was told that there was no findings on their end as to why Comenity Bank should have closed my account so I was asked if I wanted to file a dispute. In which I did so. I contacted Comenity Bank who only stated that they did so due to what was reported to them by the bureau. Huh?? I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau and for anyone else who has suffered at their hands lease do so as well. You do so online and it is an easy and quick process. I will be taking further action if this is not resolved. read more

I applied for this credit card on the Wayfair website. Made payments on time, each month. Then in September they announced that they closed my account, because Wayfair doesn't work with them anymore. Good for Wayfair! Then in September I had financial difficulties because of this stupid pandemic time, and instead of making payment on 10th and made payment on 15th but I paid off my balance completely, it was $ 0. When they sent me a bill for $33 late fee, I called them I asked to remove that fee, because I made my previous payments on time, and I paid off my balance. I asked them why you charge fees on the account that currently has 0 and it's closed??! And I simply wasn't able to pay it on time I had financial difficulties. They didn't agree with that, I was super angry because in any other bank they would agree that it's the case there to remove late fee is appropriate but they didn't. I wasn't able to made that payment unfortunately. In December they sent me $68, so they added one more late fee. But thanks God I was table to pay it in December! I hope they will choke with these money. It's an evil company. And btw their automatic payment systems needs many improvements. Long waiting time on hold is another problem. read more

My response to their computer generated (no response) email. I am not satisfied at all!! I called Customer Service because I was trying to make a payment on my account on the day it was due and because it was 8:15 p.m. I was advised by your very rude overseas call center that I would be charged a $25.00 late fee. I then spoke to someone in the United States who again would not budge regarding this issue. This is highly offensive and perhaps a violation of the Fair Credit Act (I will investigate further). I find it distressing that although I paid well over the amount due on the due date (by a customer who has consistently paid well over the minimum due on my account each month) that Comenity would be so rigid and anti-customer service that they would insist on this policy, again from a customer who has always kept their account in good standing. I will pay the remaining balance due minus the $25.00 dollar fee you insist on charging and again will investigate this issue regarding the Fair Credit Act and will note a review on the major websites regarding your lack of customer service. read more

I have a few store cards that I have had for years, Jared, Talbots, and Coldwater Creek are the ones that Comenity has taken over from other banks. I got caught like many when this pandemic hit. I was waiting for a check to arrive from March 11 and couldn't get a hold of the company that it was due from as they were in CA and I am in FL. Come to find out they had been closed due to the Coronavirus. I explained this to Comenity and was told not to worry about it and they would give me a 2 month extension to pay. I finally got my check in July, I paid all of their accounts up to date and now I am being told that my Talbots card is being closed due to a low credit score!!! They knew what the issue was and still closed my account that didn't even have a balance on it as I haven't used the card since back in Dec. This is stupid and can't wait to pay off my others with this bank to never use them again. The kicker is I had others with them but the companies have gone out of business! If this is how they treat their business' as well I can see why they are no longer in business. read more

This company is in violation of the TCPA. They need to STOP CALLING. Comenity Bank has faced several allegations of violating TCPA. Here are some examples of TCPA violations: Calling at odd hours and contacting consumers late at night and early in the morning. Calling the consumer at their workplace and leaving a message about the debt with the person who answers the call. Calling and not identifying themselves or their purpose. Not identifying the entity to whom debt is owed. Calling and talking about the debt without first verifying if the consumer owes it or not. Not honoring a consumer's wishes to not call them; not honoring the Do-Not-Call-Registry. Threatening consumers with lawsuits that are not applicable to their case. Threatening and intimidating consumers with legal action where none is intended. Leaving messages containing details of the debt with people other than the consumer. This could include their relatives, co-workers, friends, and/or neighbors. Making details of the debt public and causing undue embarrassment to the consumer who owes the debt read more

BEWARE if you are thinking about using Comenity! DON"T DO IT! I pay my bills ahead of schedule every month. Yesterday, I received several calls saying my payment was late. I went on line to check out was going on and it clearly showed on my payment schedule that my next payment was due on April 4. Today is March 21! On top of that, they had charged me $90 in late fees!!! They have charged me these late fees for the past several months! No one ever answers the phone at customer service and they just recently allowed you to use a debit or credit card to pay your bill! If you need help and want to speak with an actual person, plan on taking the day off and committing to just trying to speak with someone. When I finally reached a person today, she said that the reason I was charged a late fee was because I paid ahead of my due date and they don't apply it! WHAT??? They will not refund the late fees! I am contacting the Attorney General and have filed a complaint with the BBB. read more

This institution,(very mental, unstable company!!!!) Literally insane! Doing the same thing over & over expecting different results in finance! Really disscuting that on average call about 7 times a day, starting at am and continuing all day long. on your day off every 2 hrs. Then they try scam calls. Using different numbers saying there someone else? And I can see it's the same number. Trying to check out our intelligence? All in reality, I'm all about helping others out that need a better life. They DO NOT about nothing about customer service in my! Experience. In our broken world today, we don't need this petty nonsense especially if your bill isn't due for another month! So I made a decision and will go to the store and pay my own bill and continue to block all there numbers from around the . And Report spam and harassment. No offense but the illegals are being Illegal. Have a positive day. read more

I had a terrible experience with Comenity Bank, and I would not recommend them to anyone. Their practices feel completely misleading and borderline fraudulent. I noticed unauthorized charges on my account, and when I contacted customer service, they were unhelpful and dismissive. Instead of resolving the issue, they kept transferring me between departments with no clear answers. It felt like they were intentionally avoiding taking responsibility. Their billing system is confusing, and fees seem to appear out of nowhere. Even after making payments on time, I was hit with unexpected charges that were never properly explained. What's most frustrating is the lack of transparency and accountability. A bank should provide security and trust, but my experience with Comenity has been the opposite. I strongly advise others to think twice before opening an account with them. read more

This bank appears to be unfairly charging customers. My wife opened a credit card through Sephora and made a purchase of about $65. We never received any billing statement. Later, the bank added a $40 late fee. I contacted customer service, and they agreed to waive $25 of the fee. I then paid the original balance plus the remaining $25 late fee. This issue occurred in November, and we believed it was resolved. However, in March, we received another call from customer service demanding around $200. They claimed that the original payment was one day late and continued adding additional late fees. Now, the customer service representatives are threatening legal action, which feels unreasonable given the situation. We made a good-faith effort to resolve the issue and paid what we were told was owed. This situation feels unfair and needs to be reviewed. read more

If I could give this company a negative amount of stars -0, I would. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I submitted a payment to them on the 12th of the month. They did not try to process the payment until approximately the 26th of the month and by that time, I thought they had already taken their money and have been paid. By the time I found out that they didn't receive the funds, I was marked late on my credit report and so I made another payment that they also didn't process in a timely manner and this time my credit report reflected that I was 60 days late ruining my credit report and my credit score. This has happened so many times that I am paying this account off next week and I will NEVER do business with Comenity Bank ever again!! read more

I got a lane Bryant credit card for my girlfriend. She bought bras from there all the time so I thought it was a good idea to save some money, boy was I wrong! I paid off my balance in December, then I was charged a $2 "finance charge" after paying off the card. Think my balance was 0, I didn't bother looking at statements until May. In May the balance was over $200 from late fees on the $2 finance charge. I paid all but one late fee and closed my account then ANOTHER $2 finance charge showed up a week after I paid off the account THE SECOND TIME. I called customer service and was transferred to the wrong people then transferred to a "manager" who didn't answer my questions and hung up on me. This company is the absolute worst! 100% a scam! read more

I am writing to express significant concern regarding recent charges applied to my account with Kay Jewelers and Comenity Bank. Specifically, I was recently subjected to unexpected interest charges. Upon switching to paperless billing, I was not notified that interest would subsequently be applied to the balance throughout the year. As a result, a full year's worth of interest was added to my statement. I am very dissatisfied with this process and the lack of clear communication regarding the financial implications of opting for paperless billing. I request an immediate review of these charges and clarification on how this interest was calculated and applied without prior notification. read more

They are scam!!! Do not trust these people. They reallyyy be on some Bullshit. Oh btw they have a 100% interest rate. If you have perfect payment history they will drag you through it! Be careful the experience I've had is non other. I've asked to speak with supervisor . No help from customer service or support. I just keep getting told there's nothing they can do. It is what it is. No documentation that this would be 100% interest no thing no communication I don't mind paying off the rest of my loan. Ammount. But do not tax me where it's impossible to get out of! They have terrible policy and live to drown people. Even those trying to do the right things read more

What a terrible credit card company! This place and GE Money Bank are the worst loan sharking credit card issuers out there. DO NOT GET A CREDIT CARD FROM THEM. They issue mostly store credit cards for places like Victoria's Secret, and issue a handful of co branded cards that are impossible to obtain unless you have a 750+ credit score. They will nickel and dime you in fees, move around your billing cycles, and do whatever it takes to show you that you are nothing but a number to them. I called to close my account and they said why? I said they are the worst credit card I have, they said fine its closed. Not even a thank you for your business. Ack! read more

Comenity Bank/Wayfair is the worst credit card servicer on this planet. They regularly take over an hour to answer the phone and their website regularly requires a password change, that once completed, is not recognized. TWO attempts locks you out, and then you have to call a number nobody answers. Due to these issues and their sporadic reporting to the Credit reporting agencies, we needed an update to complete a disabled Veteran's refinance. It took 5 calls over 3 days to finally request a "Balance Letter" that is required to update their credit report. A day later the fax arrived showing the balance on the card as $XX.XX. WTF! read more

Do not trust this bank. Their products are designed in misleading ways -- burying important terms in fine print and creating blind spots through a lack of communication. Search them in consumer venues like CFPB or BBB and you'll see the same pattern of complaints. Customers are hit with thousands in surprise charges that are technically 'legal' only because they hide behind the fine print -- a classic trap. They operate under different names, such as Alphaeon Credit for medical expenses. If the product you're considering is linked to them, avoid it at all costs. read more
