The craftsmanship, professionalism, prompt service, and attention to detail were exceptional. What started as "just buying a gift" turned into creating something truly meaningful and personal -- something my friend and his family will remember and appreciate for years. At one point, people suggested I simply buy a gift card and let my colleague choose something himself. I'm so glad I didn't. A personalized gift carries emotions, friendship, memories, and thoughtfulness behind it, and Create Cut Invent helped make that possible. From now on, this will be my go-to place for meaningful and personalized gifts. Highly recommended.

Once the details were finalized, it was turned around in just a few hours and it was exactly what I needed! Steven was extremely generous with his time and advice. His incredibly friendly personality paired with enthusiasm for the craft is rare to find these days. Beyond the excellent work, the owner is a Chicago legend. Honored to have Steven's services so close by in the Western Suburbs. I will definitely be using them again for any fabrication!

If you need your scissors done you'll need to leave them with him, but otherwise bring your knives and they will be "sharpening while you shop"! Had my knives and my father's knives done by them and it's wonderful to work with a knife that actually cuts instead of slips off everything Here's a safety tip, pack all your knives into an padded oven mitt and throw a rubber band around it to transport. I also brought him the bladed cup off my Nutribullet, he said he could do it. Just went through my potting shed and bringing in my pruner and garden shears Saturday!

I procrastinate about keeping knives sharp... it's a pain to find a place and get your knives back same day! So here I go, trekking to Oswego to the source. Buried in behind dense overgrown foliage and operating out of a garage crammed to the rafters with the tools of his trade is TOM! If for no other reason than to meet an unforgettable person AND save money it's worth the trip. Call in advance to make sure he didn't bag it and take the day off. It's easy to find the street but easier to drive past the house, shrouded in weeds, foliage, junk with an old white pick up in the driveway. Tom is a retired blacksmith not to be confused with a ferrier (who shoes horses). I got a quick lesson in using and caring for my knives and learned that walnut handles are the best because they are microbial retardant!. Thank God I had cash, had 7 knives sharpened for $20! I was very pleased even though Tom wasn't exercising any COVID conventions which is the only reason he gets one less star! Great job! Check him out!
