The 3 guys who arrived called ahead 20 min, and were super careful to measure thrice and keep measuring and using a level as the piece dried. I felt very confident watching their concern to get the piece on the backsplash in an attractive and straight manner. They could not have been more professional. I'll say it once and say it again: when you deal with the salespeople at The Granite Corporation (that's their real name not "Granite") you kind of doubt that they have a clue about what they're selling. I don't know what will happen and it takes too long for them to finish up a sale, even though they mean well. However, when the measure & install team shows up, those are the people who really know what they're doing. They are top pros. I asked Sam, my sales person, how are they going to make sure the glue holds on a vertical application, and she did not know. I asked her if I should cover my stove, and she said, don't worry (of course, I did). When they showed up, they scored the back of both my backsplash and the new piece, so more glue would be applied. They applied glue all around the perimeter (not visable). They taped the piece in place and I put a spongy rug on my stove (just in case). They said, glue sets in 10 minutes and they held it that long, and it is good to go in a couple hours when I can take off tape. I would have liked to know that there would be a little granite dust in my kitchen ahead of time, to have removed everything from countertops, but they did hold up a vacuum while they scored my backsplash, so I cannot say that I see any dust (besides my own). They scored the new piece outside my house. The treasure here is the cutting, measuring & install team. They are premium craftsmen, very experienced and know how to communicate with the public. They're the ones who should be selling the granite!

It was a bit of a tricky job due to the trim being arched, which meant it had to be traced and cut appropriately. I had the pleasure of contacting David, whom I asked several questions of how he would go about the process and I felt very comfortable with everything he walked through. He scheduled the work for a couple weeks out, text notifications let me know when he would be arriving and he was able to complete everything within a few hours. David cut the replacement beautifully using PVC so there is no maintenance on it in the future and caulked / sealed up all points of exposure to rain. He was very efficient, kind, and answered all the questions I had since I'm learning to do these kinds of tasks on my own. The pricing was extremely competitive and there's no question that I'll have David back pretty soon for other jobs around my home that I'm not comfortable handling. Israel was the point person and was always available to consult with. Actually, everyone including Israel, his brothers and sister Sonia were amazing to work with. Israel provided a couple of rounds of 3D rendered drawings that quite frankly sealed the deal. We knew exactly what we were going to end up with based on the concept drawings. The crew worked exceptionally hard over the 9 days and held an exacting attention to details. We requested a curving patio, so there were hundreds of stone cuts required. I told Israel that we had problems with chipmunks in the past, so they placed metal screens down under ground about 12 inches deep all around the outside of the patio edge. Arne's convinced us to go with the low voltage lighting and I'm so glad we did as it provides great ambiance at night. The gas fire pit installation was also first class. Every day the team did a great job of cleaning up both in the back yard and street. We included 8 Arborvitaes in the order. The guys planted all 8 tree's and removed a lot of grass to created planting beds for me to do future landscaping. We are very happy with the results and would highly recommend Arne's Paving to anyone looking for a quality patio contractor.

No recommendations or ideas presented. Only to say the tape wasn't included in order. Carpenter suggested I should have purchased tape. I said it wasn't offered. 2) cement step was poured at base of new steps because the new steps didn't align with the tear off staircase. Poor job, cement splash on new deck stairs. Design flaw in new stair layout caused base to become issue. Homeowner cleaned but step at base of new steps looks terrible. 3) casement window NOW blocked from fully opening. I have attempted to get Platinum to correct this flaw on design. Old staircase steps and railing did not interfere w window opening. I did not get the customer service I expected after paying $30k for a new deck surface. Btw their model is to collect $ up front print to acceptance.
