I was pretty excited to see a vegan diner here! Like I wasn't sure that I would even have vegan options while visiting Mexico, but was delighted to see a place like this pop up in my Yelp search! That being said, I want to make clear that this place isn't really all that diner themed other than perhaps the decor. The menus pretty limited to burgers and other types of sandwiches. They carry Beyond Burger (or maybe it was Impossible?) and then something else that is not very meat-like and it's more or less deep fried . . . but delicious. Well, because . . . fried! My friend and I both ordered burgers and she stated she was quite surprised that she enjoyed it, as an omnivore. I had the spicy burger and it was pretty tasty, although heavy on the vinegar based hot sauce, so if you're not into that - avoid! I also had the Snickers milkshake and holy balls, it was SOOO GOOD. Like I was planning on only having a perhaps half of the milkshake, just to try it, but I ended up gulping down nearly the entire thing, despite being no longer hungry after my burger! Service is kind of slow and meh. Like the server forgot my carbonated water until the very end of the meal, and I had to flag a server to order, despite it being not very busy. But I think that's kind of typical for the area. read more

I'm not a vegan. But this place had a very good vegan burger. I found the yelowish sauce on the burger to be a bit odd and too aequous. But overall the bite on this burger is dense and substantial as I want in a burger. The bread was soft and chewy. The cheesecake was smooth on the palate, milky, and sweet. It had a good balance of cream, peanut butter, and sugar. I would not have been able to know it was vegan. This place has a neat 50's vibe that takes you into a world totally foreign to Playa. I always have trouble not associating this style with the dystopian Truman Show motif. But nonetheless it's a unique and fun theme idea. read more

This place came recommended by a friend here in Playa Del Carmen. I love the 50s theme, but the place was not as clean as I thought it would be. By that, I mean the floors and tables were not wiped down or really clean. It wasn't filthy or anything. The service was good until the food came out and we were eating. I noticed the cook came out and started talking with the server. Next they were focusing on me and laughing. I felt like maybe I looked up and they were in the middle of a conversation that didn't involve me until I looked again. This time they were clearly pointing and looking at me while laughing. I instantly put my food down and told my guest that something is going on. We paid the bill and left. I pray they didn't do anything to my food. The unprofessional, and obvious disrespect has me sad. I love and treat every human with fairness and I'd never make someone feel uncomfortable in my business or personal space ever. NEVER EVER EXCEPT RACISM, CLASSISM, OR DISRESPECT FROM ANYONE. Great vegan spot in Playa del Carmen!! Wish i had been able to go back a second time for a vegan milkshake!! The mac & cheese, bacon cheese fries, and spicy cheeseburger were all delicious and their homemade vanilla ice cream was a tasty finish. The 50s decor is delightful and service was perfect. Wow! What an incredible concept and the food is amazing. I'm from California, so, I've seen my fair share of vegan restaurants but I had never seen a vegan diner and it's beautifully done. Vintage art, real jukebox playing the 50s and 60s classics! We stopped in right as they were opening and still taking down the chairs but we were not turned away, which was very kind. Don't pass up the mac n cheeze. And even if you're feeling too full for a milkshake, you have to get the Snickers shake! The food was so great that my friend and I kept saying we NEED the macaroni recipe. If you are vegan and in the area, this location is a must! read more

This fully vegan burger place is not bad. They do make their own Pattie's so that's a plus. Reminds me of In-N-Out burger but just vegan.

Very cool idea for a diner in Playa! Unique. They played 50s American commercials, and the decor matched the theme. The menu was super fun and everything is VEGAN! My BF was craving a corn dog so I searched for places in Playa. I stumbled upon this place, and to my delight I found him a "healthy" take on his desired snack. The burgers were cool. Taste is pretty basic but the buns they use are great. Fries were too salty but the cheese on them was so good! The winner of the entire meal was the milkshake! Snickers milkshake was super delicious. I'll be going back during my trip just for that and hopefully for the corn dog, if they have it next time. read more

Let me start off by saying I was fooled by all of the reviews. I enjoy "Junk Food" but quality made in house patties which I got from Marvin's Burger's. This tasted like a store brought soy patty with salt and pepper on top. You can serve cheap quality food. On top of everything the lady at the front counter was rude. I would give this place a zero if I could. If you want a quality burger try Marvin's Burger for 70 pesos. I threw this burger away and went there. Don't wast your time and money! read more
